UFC 80 Rapid Fire READ NFO PPV HDTV XviD-aAF

Due to problems with the HDTV stream source, there were some major glitches in aAF’s release. In order to try and fix this problem, aAF apparently added a small DSR avi file in the archives which contained the footage that was missing in the Gonzoga vs Fabrico fight. According NOsegmenT’s release, they claim that aAF’s provided fix was not good enough, as they failed to rectify a further 37 seconds of video that was glitchy in their original rip. They stepped in and decided to pre their PDTV rip, which did not contain any of the errors throughout the fights, although it is in FS 512×384. Unfortunately, nosegment’s initial PDTV release contained 17 missing rars on CD2. So they then pre’d a READ.NFO.DiRFiX PDTV release which hopefully fixes the problem. My choice would be to stick with aAF’s rip, because I would rather miss a few seconds in HDTV rather than watch FS DSR.

As for the 720p versions, even further confusion has arrived. The first 720p rip was released by MainEvent, which I have no info on. The second was aAF’s 720p READ.NFO release to accompany their HDTV rip, which I predict detailed the same information about the signal glitches. Then after that one, aAF released a DIRFIX.iNTERNAL for their previous 720p release, which should fix any missing or corrupted rars. The 720p internal release will be a little harder to locate, but if anyone finds it make sure to put links in the comments. What makes this process even harder is that there were no nukes in any of the UFC 80 releases, leaving the end-user to read the NFOs and decide himself which to watch.

@ 1 and 4: WTF are you talking about, MMA IS REAL:

    Check out Wanderlai Silva: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go6oHyEqFe0

That is Pride, UFC however has regulations such as no stomping a downed opponent, etc.

But that don’t mean you can’t knock em the phuck out..

    January 20th, 2008 | 23:27

    Fake?

Sure it’s fake. Now come here and let me drop some “fake” elbows on your face, and then “pretend” to choke you, until you pass out, and crap yourself.

And once you wake up, you can tell yourself that MMA is all just a dream.

    —————————————————————

For those who aren’t that idiotic…

The small amount of footage that was interrupted in the Gonzaga / Werdum fight, contained nothing that you will miss.

you’re allowed knees to the head if the opponent is standing. and by standing they mean 2 feet on the ground, no hands touching.
    banning elbows is ridiculous.

    January 21st, 2008 | 00:08

No elbows worked great in Pride, not the same amount of cuts as in the UFC.

And what I meant with the allow knees is that I want knees on the ground, same as the old Pride rules.

This was an excellent fight card, every single fight was very good and entertaining.

MMA is very real, dont confuse it with WWE which is a physicaly hard job, but fake and planned out in advance.

I hate the new commercials promoting brock lesnar, they confuse the idiots even more by associating 2 totally different sports together.

You would enjoy people getting skull phucked and fed through a tube inserted into their stomach for the rest of their miserable lives? then to not have such moves exist for the sake of safety, of course you’d probably enjoy someone getting clapped by a knee and losing a couple billion brain neurons.

Of course we have approximately 100 billion neurons in the brain, but how much can a human being take?

Then again you could cheekily say its exercise, just like banging your head against a wall loses you 150 calories per hour.

    It’s crazy.

    @RoFLCaKeS

You assume alot about me. They did a study of the impact the sport had on the persons and the result was that boxing was alot worse for your body, than the MMA Pride ruleset was.

Sure you’re gonna loose some braincells doing this, I wont argue there. But whats worse, a broken collar bone (as people usually tend to move their head when a knee is flying to your skull and therefore hitting you in the shoulder) or blood pouring over both contenders and after the match watching BJ Penn licking his gloves clean of his opponents blood?

I think (I cant find any data on this anywhere, my own speculation) that a standing kick to the temple would be alot worse for your head, than knees. Only difference is that kicks to the head is allowed.

Oh and just for the record, I wouldent like anyone to eat tube food for the rest of their lives, it probally tastes like hell.

one of the better all around cards i’ve seen

i found a torrent of this yesterday morning, just the fights, mixed quality and formats, the first fight is in french. only 485mb, so if you don’t want to get all the commentary (how many times can you listen to joe rogan talk about someone’s posture anyway)

Certainly not fake – I was there and when BJ opened Joe’s head up, it wasn’t fake blood. The Kelly / Taylor fight was class. Joe Rogan wouldn’t talk to any of the crowd but Dana White was a top class bloke. Shook hands, had pics taken with fans, the works.
