U2 – No Line On The Horizon

p2p releases release the latest U2 album. No Line on the Horizon is the forthcoming twelfth studio album by Irish rock band U2, which will be released on 27 February 2009 in Ireland, 2 March in the rest of Europe, and a day later in North America. The album will be U2’s first since 2004’s How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, the longest gap between studio albums in the band’s career.

U2 began work on a new studio album in 2006 with Rick Rubin, although material from those sessions will not be a part of No Line on the Horizon. The band has collaborated with producers Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois from 2007–2008 for the album, allowing them to be involved in the songwriting process. The album was planned for release in November 2008, but the band had written approximately 50–60 songs and wished to continue writing.

    Just had a listen to this and I think it is great. Great sound, sounds alot like the older U2 sound.

    Anyway bring on the tour because no one can deny that they kick ass when playing live.

    Im a U2 fan and to be honest they are not a patch on what they were, just had a listen through the album and there are 2 or 3 ok songs but the thing that is missing is a good tune,they are all instantly forgettable no longer easy to get into and i think the album will be instantly forgotton

    R.I P u2, bring back the great anthem songs, the great stadium songs but this im afraid is mostly tunless drivvel

    Not long enough!

    While they were once a killer band, they have gone the way of Sting or Skinhead OConner and are now musical politicians out to change the world. Lucky Bono's Irish or he'd be running against Obama in 2012 and preaching the end of the Earth in true Lucky Charms fashion. as for their arena shows, they don't have much competition in our garbage North American music market, except when bands like Iron Maiden take the stage and show U2 how to put on a stage spectacle for the masses.

    I know that many artists write about the state of the world or politics but these guys have taken on that that 'world music sound' that is so lame and contrived. It is supposed to come across as global awareness and foresight, when in actuality it is just selling a trend or as self-absorbed 'paradigm' of what the world should be like.

    Go back to WAR or October and you have something but this pseudo-political activist crap belongs up a tree, not in a music studio.

    Overrated band?? I really tired of some people here in RSLOG. A bunch of lazy critics!!! It seems that there are so many teens here who don't know anything about music. Most of you weren't alive when U2 was rocking the world. Just don't listen to U2, return to your teen band, or the hip hop madness that is invading the world and sucks big time, please.
