Turok CLONEDVD-AVENGED

The world goes crazy: AVENGED just pred a CloneDVD of an action game Turok, a remake of 2001 classic, which has insane 12.5 gigabytes. This first person shooter was inspired by Far Cry and similar games, which combines a reality (black ops commando member) and sci-fi elements (dinosaurs and other creatures). There are no official system requirements now, but it should run on most of the gaming machines. Now, you just need to decide whether you want to spend many hours downloading this massive release…

Players take on the role of Joseph Turok, a former black ops commando, now part of an elite special forces squad, known as Whiskey Company, which is on a mission to take down a war criminal – Turok’s former mentor, Roland Kane. While Whiskey Company is traveling to the genetically altered planet inhabited by Kane and his soldiers, Whiskey Company’s ship is shot down. Turok must use his elite military training to elude Kane’s well-trained army, known as Mendel-Gruman, and the ravenous, unpredictable dinosaurs, huge insects and other massive creatures that populate the dangerous environment. Turok’s mission? Survive at all costs.

Turok is in development at Disney’s in-house studio Propaganda Games and is powered by Epic’s Unreal Engine 3. Despite its far-future setting, gamers will match brawn with dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, as well as a host of well-trained supersoldiers. In addition to a single-player campaign, the game offers 16-player online multiplayer action. As with its console counterparts, the PC version is rated M for Mature.

  • Dark, gritty sci-fi world showcased through next-gen gameplay, high-resolution graphics and immersive sound
  • Humans are your primary enemy – highly-trained soldiers challenge players with sophisticated A.I. and advanced tactics
  • Encounter genetically-altered dinosaurs and other deadly creatures – trick them into attacking your enemies or each other
  • Choose your combat style – obliterate enemies with excessive firepower, or utilise fast stealth weapons (such as the bow and knife) there are multiple ways to survive depending on strategy
  • Operate a fleet of high-tech military vehicles
  • Engage in robust online multiplayer modes

    Looks like an alright game, perhaps I should try it out. I liked the N64 ones, heh.

    Oh, and also what’s up with the commenting on size all the time? Even with a normal 6gb release there’s always loads of whining “if you wanna spend many hours downloading this”. Granted this is a bit more than normal, I don’t think it really matters as much as you make it out to, I mean, 1TB drives are becoming “normal”, and it’s not like there’s loads of people with a 56k connection out there still. Just my two cents. ^^

    i havnt seen any specs online but i wud imagine its usual

    Pentium 4 – 3.2 or better (Dual/QuadCore)
    512mb ram for XP & 1gb for vista but if u use ur pc for gaming then u shud have min 2gb anyway regardless of using vista or not and also a DX9 card min but for better game play a Geforce8 Series card wud be better :D

    i know the 9800GX2 has bin release! thats why i have a 1gb asus one ;o) but not every1 spends nearly 2k on a PC like i stupidly did so a 8600gt or even a 7800/7950 wud run this game as all he was asking was wat do i need not wats the max i can get :o )

    come the 28th when i get paid im guna buy another & go for Quad SLI :D wonder what FPS i will get on The Lion King with that!

    “a remake of 2001 classic”…?

    First off, it’s not a remake; it’s a complete reboot of the franchise (takes place on a different planet, different character, different timeline, etc). Second, the original Turok came out in 1997 (T2 was 1998, Rage Wars was 1999, T3 was 2000, and Evolution was 2002).

    No biggie, but totally wrong. :)

    Wait for a Cd-2-DVD conversion and you will be able to copy it onto 3 normal DVD’s.

    Alternatively, just copy the RAR’s directly onto the DVD, and copy the left over ones onto another DVD and so on. This is messy and means that you will have to copy the RAR’s back onto the hard drive, unpack them, mount and install, but it’s one way of getting it backed up in a way and clear off the hard drive.

    This download is a rapidshare-abuse. i am downloading from a torrent. Razor edition. i takes 24 hours to complete the download. however, the torrent i took isnt from NewTorrent but some other site.. i googled it. 2 seeders. it goes 300kbs. super fast.

    Oh Man is this game crap,

    I’ve uninstalled it after 10 mins gameplay, a truly awful looking game. people still using p4’s and 9800’s will be happy because you could still run it maxed, YEAH, its that bad. Dancing jungle foliage, undersized weapons, amazingly poor visibilty. This game should be swept under the carpet.

    Don’t waste your bandwith, you’ll thank me.

    – uninstall ageya physix then reinstall it from disk 1. the game will work afterwards.

    tihs game sucks ass… the graphic and gameplay is the worst i’ve seen for month!!! it’s a fraking x-box game! TUROK was once a great game but now…
    it isn”t worth the time downloading!

    Damn, this game is lame. There is nothing there worth the 12gb.

    Dinosoar knief insta-kills are nice, but thats as far as it goes. Its just lame other wise.
