Why is it “WORKING” and not a “Proper”? Does TE not understand basic scene lingo, or does this term actually mean something different?

  9. mr.domino
    January 10th, 2008 | 09:54

I don’t like “intuitive” software, usually means its always running trying to predict what I’m not going to do.

    January 10th, 2008 | 09:55

Well, you can read why its WORKING in the NFO. I think its working because the other one worked partially? But I’m not 100% sure. And its a rar archive? Should work fine…

This application should be blocked with a firewall! Also disable the automatic 1-Click Maintenance form the settings and updates!

  32. Mike
    January 10th, 2008 | 11:42

There aren’t any updates available in 7991 yet.
So I wont update with this relase.

  33. hobomobo
    January 10th, 2008 | 11:43

keygens frequently get flagged as trojan… never found one that actually was.

definitely block TU from calling home though :-)

Checked the crack at Virus Total. The majority of antivirus-es says its not a virus and some says generic or suspicious(5/32) of being infected! So i bet this is clean! Anyway I liked the keygen better! For some reason after using this crack for a few days the program detect eventually that the key is not good even without an Internet connection!

avg is infamous for false positives. this program is very nice. highly recommended although i’d just download the exe off of their website and use last versions keygen.

Don’t use the “registry de-fragmenter” unless you have a backup of your hard drive.

Why not run the keygen in a sandbox such as Sandboxie?
It cant possibly do any harm to your system then.
That’s what I did a while ago, I’ve used keygens for the last three years versions of TU and also been able to use the online update with no problems.

The keygen for Sandboxie can be found on rlslog, heck if you’re paranoid enough you could even install Sandboxie first and then run the Sandboxie keygen in Sandboxie and enter the code and empty the sandbox afterwards, there’s no way you could have a trojan then.

I’ve been using the other release without any issues, everything still works fine, the defrag is very fast with this program, the registry defrag works perfectly too and never messes anything up

Too many not 100% tools in this Suite.
It’s not a bad tool at all but if you need a shredder you should get http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ much faster and better and if you need to erase traces you should use http://www.ccleaner.com/ with Gutman enabled and so on and so on.

Last time I installed this bloatware on my computer (Vista 32HP) I had to actually do the first F11 system recovery in my 15 years as a tech. Avoid this junk- if you cant optimize thru registry- use Vista Smoker Pro/XP Smoker pro.

    @#44, I understood #’s 24+25 just fine. And I agree with you.
I doesn’t make sense for them to do an update so quickly. Maybe they found a devious way to try to find out who the scener is in their midst?

I will stick with .7991. also of TE.

    Nice catch bokka. :)

I can confirm there is a trojan in this release. Over 2-3 daysIt messed up my hard drive so bad I had to reformat and re-install. Also replaced my genuine symantec alert window with a fake one telling me thje trojan had been deleted. You would think though that if you were dedicated/ clever enough to go the lengths to embed a trojan in a *.exe you’d have made sure you had got your spelling right in the fake windows that pop up later…
