True Blood S01E01 PREAiR DVDSCR XviD-MEDiEVAL

MEDiEVAL brings us another DVD screener of an upcoming new show, this time it’s True Blood and is widescreen. This popped up two hours after the Fringe screener but we must have missed it, anyway, it’s here now. The first episode is scheduled to air on HBO in September, so a nice early screener. Seems to be a decent DVD screener, but I did notice one part where a scene was missing, this is a screener and this is to be expected. Please check samples bellow.
Please note that this release has been nuked (interlacing_i26.tinypic.com.2e0v19v.png) however it is still very watchable, if you are very picky about this sort of problem, you may want to wait to see if a proper or repack shows up. Also this release is an unusual size of 548MB and according to scene rules should be 440MB. I guess if it wasn’t nuked for interlacing it would have been for its size.

Show Summary:
Based on the popular ‘Southern Vampire,’ book series by Charlaine Harris, “True Blood” follows the adventures of a small-town cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse (who all her life was an outsider due to her gift/curse of being a telepath) and how her life is turned upside down when a member of the undead (the vampire race ‘came out of the coffin’ several years earlier) walks into her life one fateful night.

Episode Plot: Strange Love
One random night while Sookie is working the night shift at her local bar, a mysterious man walks in. Immediately she knows something is different about him, because she cannot get any sort of mental reading off him. But when he orders blood, Sookie realizes that she has finally met her first vampire.

Well, I had high hopes for this HBO series, unfortunately I was to say the least mighty disappointed. This series will not last a season unless they change it a lot.

I prefer to have HBO buy Moonlight and show a second season for that.

On Fringe that is better but is (I think) also lacking.

Looking forward to possible dvdscr of Sarah Connor Chronicles S2, at least that would be entertaining.

Lol “Finally met her first Vampire”this should be great
a world where people/”telepaths”assume that they will ever meet
a vampire and that they even exists,i expect a christmas
episode featuring santa,if this obvious piece of crap series makes it that long.

To Æ: The show is set in a world where people KNOW vampires exist. I’m not saying it’s a good show, just that you should talk less crap until you’ve seen it… and if you don’t plan to watch it, STFU.

I agree. For a first episode it’s not good enough. After watching this I can’t really say I’m hooked or just looking forward to the next episode. I can’t see where they are going with it and I think that’s a problem for a first episode which is supposed to lay the bases of the show.
    Isn’t HBO usual material.

And it’s crazy how those preair get leaked !

I gotta say, I was disappointed too. After ‘Six Feet Under’, I thought this would be much better than it turned out to be. So far, the pacing of the show is very uneven and the acting is very blah. I don’t like the cast very much with the exception of maybe the guys who played the cops (from The Wire and Deadwood). It seems more a show the guy who did ‘John From Cincinnati’ could do a better job with, IMO.

    I agree with #39.
It is ok, but not for a pilot.
It has to be more ’spectacular’ to get good views in my opinion.

Can’t say I’m hooked, it ended a little to soon I was expecting another 5 minutes at the end. But the episode as a whole I liked the ending was just poor you either need to end it on a good cliffhanger or just end it not a bad cliff hanger.

Just wondering what the current scene rules are for Tv and movie rips. Can anyone provide me a link to the current (2008 I’d assume) rules for this? Thanks!!

I think there are a bunch of kids here.
I did see Moonlighting and this was a silly, main stream sort of cheese extravaganza! It’s really a silly show meant for fat middle-aged Americans without brains.
This show is better, it was just not as blatant and stupid as Moonlighting with it’s constant ‘hanging from a wire’ special effects, and silly colored contacts while the guy hisses a lot.
But it could be worse. I love Vampire stuff :p

  50. RangeRover
    June 19th, 2008 | 22:59

    Just to be clear:
Moonlighting – Cheese ball (but sadly addictive)
    True Blood – OK
    Fringe – Fairly good

i have to say , it’s not great but definitely better than the stupid Sarah Connor Chronicles, or juvenile angle buffy kind of crap. it’s a lot more mature. sexy and funny, well not geeky, if tha’t what you r into.
