0TV has been on the ball tonight, first releasing the long awaited season premiere of Entourage, and then releasing the Season Premiere of True Blood. This is a new series on HBO from the creator of Six Feet Under(one of the greatest shows of all time). I have been looking forward to this show since I first heard about it about 5 or so months ago. Anyways, enjoy this one!

About The Show:
Based on the popular ‘Southern Vampire,’ book series by Charlaine Harris, “True Blood” follows the adventures of a small-town cocktail waitress Sookie Stackhouse (who all her life was an outsider due to her gift/curse of being a telepath) and how her life is turned upside down when a member of the undead (the vampire race ‘came out of the coffin’ several years earlier) walks into her life one fateful night.

Strange Love:
One random night while Sookie is working the night shift at her local bar, a mysterious man walks in. Immediately she knows something is different about him, because she cannot get any sort of mental reading off him. But when he orders blood, Sookie realizes that she has finally met her first vampire.

    The release a few months back was not a screener in the way a monvie is, it was a pilot intended for the network ppl.
    Most pilots never make it to a real series and most of them who does gets changed a lot. This is what happend to True Blood. They took away some of the crappy stuff and changed some other things. So 1×01 is a lot different from the pilot.

    There are differences between this version and the preair.

    The most notable is that one of the lead supporting characters was recast and all her scenes refilmed or reedited.
    Also some dialog is changed and there are a few differences, particularly in the sex scenes.

    It might be interesting to download both and compare.
    It’s interesting how they worked around editing some of the old scenes with the new actress inserted.

    They got rid of the sweet black actress and replaced her with some other fugly and even blacker actress :S

    I think they watered down the sex scenes aswell and the love interest of paquin’s character seems to have been given a makeover from brooding stranger to less brooding with a 90210 haircut…..Preair had potential and the little of it seems to been removed.
