Tropic Thunder UNRATED 720p BD5 x264-Chakra

The old school scene group Chakra (someone remembers their SVCD releases?) pred a BluRay rip of recent comedy Tropic Thunder. You probably noticed the “BD5″ tag in the release name, which means this release is playable on PlayStation 3 and other players. It includes a classic MKV file though and you need to run attached EXE file to convert it, so if you want to watch it just on your PC, feel free to download it too. Great work from Ben Stiller on this flick!

In the action-comedy “Tropic Thunder,” Ben Stiller plays pampered action superstar Tugg Speedman, who is cast in the biggest, most expensive war movie ever produced. He sets out to Southeast Asia with a “Who’s Who” of celebrity co-stars. They include Kirk Lazarus (Robert Downey Jr.), an intense, three-time Oscar-winning actor; Jeff Portnoy (Jack Black), star of the popular gross-out comedy franchise “The Fatties”; multi-platinum hiphop-star-turned-entrepreneur-turned-actor Alpa Chino (Brandon T. Jackson); and first-timer Kevin Sandusky (Jay Baruchel). Soon after the production begins the actors are thrown into a real-life situation and are forced to become the fighting unit they’re portraying, in order to find a way out of the jungle in one piece.

    Great movie, Robert Downey Jr. as a black person was amazing. Tom Cruise, almost everyone performed at 110% thought truth be told I expected a little more from Jack Black. However in this chaos of awesome you hardly notice anything bad.
    Unrated+720p= heaven

    Donnie – I completly agree with you. Great movie that was nothing but laughs. Jack Black could have been better. Downey Jr as a black guy was great. Alpa Chino and his energy drink “Booty Sweat” was classic (along with his video for it)

    You can actually go on amazon.com and buy a 24 pack of Booty Sweat.

    That is the most pointless thing ever, since you can just download a divx copy of this. There is really no point at all in downloading this unless you own an HD set.

    The posted runtime showing 107 minutes is wrong. Weird info, I have lots of 1080p rips on my PS3.

    For people moaning about torrents, maybe you should look what the hyperlink is doing, or maybe learn a few things about how public torrents work and use some common sense.

    You have to convert the .mkv to a .vob, then transfer it to the HDD using wifi (as the file is usually bigger than the .mkv). Get a big HDD for your PS3 if you plan on keeping them – 500GB is the max at the moment and they are dirt cheap (costs less than the 360’s 120GB HDD). The 35 HD films on mine at the moment are currently taking up 217GB – a third of them are 1080p rips which are between 8GB and 11GB.

    Use TSMuxeR to quickly convert the H.264+AC3 .MKV file (into .M2TS), split (at around 2GB), and modify Level (High@Level4.1) of the original .MKV file. No problemo, and it looks AMAZING.

    And I just store my films on my PC HDD, if they’re good enough films/releases I archive them on DVD. I have never come close to running out of room on my !80GB! PS3 HDD with many (20+) films, games, and audio. But I do like to keep it clean.

    Does anybody has RS link for the UNRATED DVDRip of this movie…
    apparently there is a DVDRip that used the 720p Chakra release as source…

    The unrated version is about 120 min long and the normal theatrical release is 107 min…
    So there is 13 min more footage and I’d rather see that one because this movie is funny.

    Terrible release. It’s uncropped…

    Don’t know why they think we want to keep black bars in the video.

    It’s messy, takes up a bit of the video bitrate and worst of all, makes video stretching functions in playback software completely useless.
