Trillian Pro v3.1.5.0-TE
Trillian Pro is an excellent alternative client for instant messaging – it can work for all common IM networks like AIM, ICQ, MSN and many others. I actually wrote a full post about it but it somehow didn’t save and I don’t have enough power to write all of it again, so if you are not satisfied with your official client, Trillian may be a good choice.
Trillian™ is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. It provides capabilities not possible with original network clients, while supporting standard features such as audio chat, file transfers, group chats, chat rooms, buddy icons, multiple simultaneous connections to the same network, server-side contact importing, typing notification, direct connection (AIM), proxy support, encrypted messaging (AIM/ICQ), SMS support, and privacy settings.
Without stealing your home page and with no other included software, pop-ups, or spyware, Trillian provides unique functionality such as contact message history, a powerful skinning language, tabbed messaging, global status changes (set all networks away at once), Instant Lookup (automatic Wikipedia integration), contact alerts, an advanced automation system to trigger events based on anything happening in the client, docking, hundreds of emoticons, emotisounds, shell extensions for file transfers, and systray notifications.
Installation notes:
Install trillian-v3.1.exe. After installation copy precracked exe from the Crack folder to the installed folder of Trillian Pro, making sure to overwrite the existing file. Launch Trillian Pro and select Pro and use any Name and Password for membership. Setup your other IM accounts afterwards. You now how a fully registered verison of Trillian Pro!

3.1.5 just adds all of the patches that you would have to download after installing 3.1. There is now 3.1.5.1 to fix a bug in the installer.

Gaim is a far superior client. Now if only they will ever fix that damn msn bug, and finally get around to making that “audio and video” plugin, or whatever it’s called. Switching to the standard client for a video call is really annoying.

does this fix the problems with the video not working in trillian?
You could always use the open source Miranda, which IMO is not only a much better product, but is also much more actively developed with regular releases and updates – Trillian has been at v3.1 for years. Miranda also seems to have a much more active community behind it with lots of contributors.

miranda is nice because it’s not as bloated as trillian and you can selectively choose what you want it to do thanks to its plugin architecture.

Trillian has been the only client with webcam support…So to all the people that keep saying “this client is better!” if it doesn’t have webcam support it isn’t better.
This release fixes a security hole discovered by iDefense Labs about 3 months ago, which the Trillian people finally got around to fixing.
“Exploitation of this vulnerability allows remote attackers to intercept private communications for Trillian IRC users or execute code with the credentials of the currently logged on user.”

Female is like email but more unreliable and slower.
Trillian Pro 3.1.5.1 was released yesterday at the studios, so 3.1.5.0 is not good anymore. There were some vulnerabilities found and corrected, so I’d recommend you look for the new release soon.

I do my best, especially since Trillian’s cracks and what not aren’t always the best or latest, the patcher answered my call.
My duty, to share it with the world.
I’ve also got problems with the webcam thing.. problems with people who have Windows messenger and a webcam trying to show me something.. I don’t have a webcam, but I don’t think that makes any difference.. so it would be nice if that could be fixed.
