Trillian Pro v3.1.12.0-TE

Chaps from group TE released a new version of popular instant messaging client Trillian. This paid application allows you to use more protocols simultanously, so you don’t need special client for each one. There’s a lot of rivalry between Trillian and free alternatives as Miranda or QIP, but every single one of them has some advantages so feel free to try and see for yourself.

Trillian™ is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. It provides capabilities not possible with original network clients, while supporting standard features such as audio chat, file transfers, group chats, chat rooms, buddy icons, multiple simultaneous connections to the same network, server-side contact importing, typing notification, direct connection (AIM), proxy support, encrypted messaging (AIM/ICQ), SMS support, and privacy settings.

Without stealing your home page and with no other included software, pop-ups, or spyware, Trillian provides unique functionality such as contact message history, a powerful skinning language, tabbed messaging, global status changes (set all networks away at once), Instant Lookup (automatic Wikipedia integration), contact alerts, an advanced automation system to trigger events based on anything happening in the client, docking, hundreds of emoticons, emotisounds, shell extensions for file transfers, and systray notifications.

    Here is another vote for Digsby.
    I’ve used them all, Trillian, Pidgin, Miranda.
    I reckon Digsby is the best, closely followed by Pidgin

    Very pleased with “Miranda” except for file transferring.
    Anybody knows if Trillian has support for Jabber (gmail)??

    Digsby is definitely the best. newest versions use less than 10megs and packs all ur IM services with social networks and email. Adium is best though, too bad its only for mac.

    Some of those others look cool, but no rendevous? there are some really cool add-ons for trillian too.

    Cerrulian (trillian’s parent) has had it’s next generation product Astra in private alpha testing longer than any other software product. at the rate it’s being developed Microsoft will cease to exist before Astra is production ready.

    The screenshots clearly say Trillian Astra, which is V.4 and still in beta, they are not of Trillian 3.1 which looks like ass.

    Try Meebo.com, it’s free, and it’s on a webpage :P . No more epic lag over msn loads for me. If you use an ad-blocker, there won’t be any ad on meebo :P

    Miranda IM cant be beat.

    Miranda IM has the best customization of ANY chat program. Trillan/Digsby/Any other chat program wishes it was as lightweight and fast as Miranda IM. Believe me I’ve tried them all on hundreds of computers on dozens of networks.

    As far as I know is Trillian the only Multimessenger thats supports ICQ, IRC, XFire and Skype together. I think there is no other MM like this.
