Transformers HD DVD 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 DD-CtrlHD

And yes, there it is: Transformers HDDVD! This is the 1080p version (MPEG-4) so it’s not really what some of you guys wanted but here’s a start (oh, and it has lots of subtitles!). It’s released by some group called CtrlHD, wich I never heard of. I don’t think this movie really needs an intro, so just grab this one guys :D Oh and please, take a look at that size :)

A long time ago, far away on the planet of Cybertron, a war was being waged between the noble Autobots (led by the wise Optimus Prime) and the devious Decepticons (commanded by the dreaded Megatron) for control over the Allspark, a mystical talisman that would grant unlimited power to whoever possessed it. The Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark off the planet, but Megatron blasted off in search of it. He eventually tracked it to the planet of Earth (circa 1850), but his reckless desire for power sent him right into the Arctic Ocean, and the sheer cold forced him into a paralyzed state. His body was later found by Captain Archibald Witwicky, and before going into a comatose state Megatron used the last of his energy to engrave a map, showing the location of the Allspark, into the Captain’s glasses, and send a transmission to Cybertron. He is then carted away by the Captain’s ship. A century later, Sam Witwicky, nicknamed Spike by his friends, buys his first car. To his shock, he discovers it to be Bumblebee, an Autobot in disguise who is to protect Spike, as he bears the Captain’s glasses and the map carved on them. But Bumblebee is not the only Transformer to have arrived on Earth – in the desert of Qatar, the Decepticons Blackout and Scorponok attack a U.S. military base, causing the Pentagon to send their special Sector Seven agents to capture all “specimens of this alien race,” and Spike and his girlfriend Mikaela find themselves in the middle of a grand battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons, stretching from Hoover Dam all the way to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, within the depths of Hoover Dam, the cryogenically stored form of Megatron awakens…

Maybe most of the flame-baits above, think this 26 GB is a lot to DL, but that’s nothing compared to 110 GB worth when downloading a TV series, such as for example, SG1 all ten seasons rolled into one torrent.

A couple of years ago, the best personal computer at that time was a 486 DX with just a 540MB hard drive. Anyone back then downloading a 650MB video size CD was thought to be considered just crazy, like the above flame-baits thinking for a 26 GB video.

Hitachi is already coming out with 4 TB hard drives, perhaps for the consumers in 2008? The point is, as more individuals use the Internet, their bandwidth will become the issue as how long it takes to download or upload.

With better algorithms will come smaller sized videos, but at the performance requirements of faster processing. So stop complaining, start innovating solutions please.

MPAA … your size comparisons are noted but 26gigs for almost 2.5 hours of movie vs 110gigs 10×20x45mins of Episodes of SG1 is NOT a very good comparison.

26 gigs for 1 movie is plain stupid. What next 10 gig tv episodes???

List of ‘tards not spending $15-25 on a dvd and instead wasting their time downloading 26gigs for one movie and being a cheap b@st@rd.

DO you own a 50+” HDTV?? if not then STFU.
you need to experience the thrill of watching a HDDVD on a 1080p HDTV.
comparing HDDVD to DVD is like compare CD to an audio cassette.

So lee, whats your point?… proving to us that you’re a ‘tard, I guess!…
Steve has made a god point, though! :) )

@haha, you need to experience a d!ck in your A55!… probably a HD-d!ick you do you fine!

@108… first, a series is more than 2h of playtime… well, I couldn’t expect a more fuc|ked up comparison than from a mafioso like you!
… and second, a couple of years ago means 2 years!… so 2 years ago we only had 540 MB HDD… let me guess, all this fast-passed evolution of technology fried your brain?

@94, razor, man… I hope you finish that soon… cause these fools really think that having 1080p is better! (at wasting bandwidth)

    And yeah… a few guys above pointed out that a AVC/MPEG-4 is a.k.a. H.264.

What you see after the name… the x264 tag
… that’s the encoder used to recompress the movies. It’s not a codec and it’s not a different format. THIS IS LIKE x264!

as for limiting releases to one disc: Which discs do YOU want it on? 100Mb ZIP? 2.88MB floppy? What – you don’t use them anymore? You use the larger CD storage media now, you say? Well so did we. ’twas called yester day.

yes ‘tard… a couple of years ago means 2 years… ‘tard!

yes ‘tard… UnSeeN’s is the best DVD Rip version… even with prof!… but I’m not wasting my time telling you where to find it

no ‘tard… the picture insn’t grainy… it’s too grainy for a nice release… deblocking filtering should smooth out the image… but for that we have to wait for a reencode or a 720p original release

no ‘tard… I’m not gonna gtfo!

Why the scene says “x264″ ?

    x264 is a software : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X264
    whereas H264 is a codec : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264

    I never understood that.

to those fvcktard who do not understand:

This rls is NOT CONVERTED in any way.
It simply decrypt a HD-DVD then copy the video data and one audio stream then remux them back again.

To those don’t have a 1920 monitor/TV and still downloading this rls:
    STFU, GTFO, RTFM!

    So simple question,

How do i play this on my PC? I got a brand new pc with a 8800GTS+ HDMI out and a Panasonioc Viera 42″ Plasma, so, What do i need to codec this and play it?

  43. Emm
    October 28th, 2007 | 14:12

Death, no one said it’s converted… but just because it’s a direct stream rip doesn’t mean it won’t need the same codecs as the converted x264 releases.

Caesar, if you have a good dual core cpu try the CoreAVC codec.
If it’s to exhausting… you might want to try PowerDVD 7 with PureVideo support installed which will take advantage of you GFX card. Don’t know the results though. If you google for: purevideo 1.02-223 rapidshare
… you’ll find it. Also make sure u have the latest ForceWare drivers. First try the PowerDVD+PureVideo solution, and if it doesn’t work try Media Player Classic + CoreAVC +/- AC3Filter.
