i dont know whats wrong with you people.
but i managed to get both files on a regular old 4.7gb blank dvd -r.
picture quality and audio quality is the same way it was before i burned it.

btw….now matter how clear the picture quality is….it wont help the fact that transformers hwas made with shitty camera work.

when u got alot of metal….fast movies scenes…and shitty/shaky camera work…….not even a blue ray version would help you.
with that being said…..this copy is great enough.

Forget aXXo’s release. It’s 900MB total. The video runs at 759 kbps and the sound is 112 kbps stero. Plus, he screwed up the video resolution – 664×268 instead of the correct 640×272. Pathetic job.
Like I said before… 2hrs 20mns is the length of the flick; if you want AC-3 6-channel sound at 448 kbps AND you want good video, then you’ve not choice but 3-CD. The chances of a scene group doing that for us are close to zero. So your options are:
    - wait for a 4.4GB HD rip
    - wait for the DVD to release and encode it yourself to whatever settings you prefer.

    “- wait for a 4.4GB HD rip
    - wait for the DVD to release and encode it yourself to whatever settings you prefer.”

    - or check on eMule in a few days or weeks for a Jupit or WAF release in 3 CDs ac3 5.1 and 720 pixels of horizontal definition.

The axxo rip is not much better than the best cam version floating around. You’d be hard pressed to tell them apart. pretty lame in my view.

hopefully a proper 2 or 3 cd version is around the corner.

Indeed, aXXo’s is even worse than FLAITE’s. It’s blurred, hazy, seems out of focus, whatever you want to call it.

yeah busta… XviD got deblocking too, you know… but with morons like beber giving advice what do you expect?

    I’ve dl’ed 4 release, and here is the round-up:
    1.FLAiTE
    - has 1.37 GB (2 CD’s)
    - XviD video at 640×272 px and 23.98 fps
    - Dolby 5.1ch AC3 audio at 448 Kbps
    2.aXXo
    - has 900 MB… guess it fits on a DVD along with his other huge releases if you’re a fan
    - DivX 5 video at 664×268 px and 23.98 fps
    - MP3 stereo audio at 112 Kbps
    3.leetay (get well dude!)
    - has 800 MB
    - XviD video at 560×240 px and 23.98 fps
    - MP3 stereo audio at 128 Kbps
    4.NhaNc3 (*)
    - has 751 MB (won’t fit on a 700 MB CD)
    - H.264 video at 640×272 px and 23.98 fps encoded with x264
    - AAC-HE 5.1ch audio

    * requires additional DirectShow support in order to pay it, you could use VLC, but then again, who needs shitty interfaces… I’ve used Haali media splitter for the Matroska container and Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 H.264/AVC Decoder for video.

(the order is that mentioned above)

To compare them… save the png’s, open them with an image viewer that supports multiple instances. I used Windows Picture and Fax Viewer by opening one image, pressing of the print button and opening another image… this way it will open a second instance of itself.

    Results:
    1. FLAiTE: image quality is good (the best out of all of them), the sound quality is… original
    2. NhaNc3: image quality is good, the sound quality is the good too, but needs more software support and without the right one the results may be different
    3. leetay: image quality is fair, sound also
    4. aXXo: image quality is low, to blurry, and the sound quality is low too

    Notes:
    1. To get a better upsampling, use MPC and at the Output section in the Options windows select WMR9 (renderless) if you have a DirectX 9 capable gfx card and select the “Resizer” to Bicubic A = -0.75 (you might want to try out the other options too).
    2. To get rid of the block / times / pixelations, use either:
    - FFDShow and play with the options
    - XviD direct show codec and at its properties page select at Postprocessing the Deblocking check boxes
    - DivX 6, select from the system tray the settings page and set postprocessing to custom… then move the Deblocking slider to maximum

    @ Emm

“but with morons like beber giving advice what do you expect?”

Yeah, he’s back. The biggest moron calling other people morons. What advice are you talking about? There’s none. Oh, come on. Did you really think you could have learned how to read just overnight? Especially you, who are the most clueless person ever. Keep believing all the bullshit you want, I don’t care. And you’re the one who talked about enlightenment a few days ago? That is so funny. But even fun must end at some point. I have most important things to do than keep debating on and on with a six year old moron like you. You can’t possibly be a grown up. And if you are, that is so sad. Hopefully you have no kids. With your genes and the education you’d give them, I’d really feel sorry for them. A brand new generation of Emms. Can you imagine how spooky that would be?

Not only you owe to a French guy the invention of Divx which Xvid was based on, but you owe to 2 French guys the very invention of cinema, you stupid asshole. Ever heard about the Lumière brothers? Those are the ones who invented it. They were French. Without those 2 guys, there would be nothing to talk about here since there would be no movies at all. You have no clue about history, poor guy. Ever heard about “la nouvelle vague”? About Jean-Pierre Melville? About “Le Samouraï”? Without it, no John Woo’s “The Killer”, no John Woo’s “Face/Off”, no Michael Mann’s “Heat”, no Jim Jarmush’s “Ghost Dog” and so on. Ever heard about Claude Zidi’s “La Totale”? Without it, no James Cameron’s “True Lies”. Ever heard about “La Jetée”? Without it, no Terry Gilliam’s “Twelve Monkeys”. You really should do your homework before using a keyboard. That would prevent you to prove everyone how stupid and ignorant you are. I really don’t get how you don’t fall down more. So, finally, here’s my advice for you, since you were talking about advices and passed on making an appointment with a shrink: You have to stop the Q-tip when there’s resistance.
From now on, I’ll just ignore your messages, even though it was fun reading them. So, don’t even bother giving me a reply of any kind, I’m done with you.

  16. fliptrip
    September 25th, 2007 | 04:07

    @ beber 319

How can you say “Without this, we would have no..so and so”? unless you have in fact used time travel to test your hypotheses then making statements like that fall on deaf ears. Just because someone doesn’t produce/invent/discover something does not mean someone else won’t.

  17. beber
    September 25th, 2007 | 04:35

    @ fliptrip

The thing is, you can’t rewrite history, and so, historical facts can’t be changed. Time travel remains impossible in real life. It’s still only a science-fiction subject.
Those are the ones who invented it. Those French film makers are the ones who influenced and inspired these others film makers and no-one can change it. Even Spielberg is a huge fan of François Truffaut (gave him a role in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and gave a role to Nathalie Baye, one of Truffaut’s actress and one of the best ones ever, in “Catch me if you can”) and so was influenced and inspired by him. His movies wouldn’t be the way they are if it wasn’t for Truffaut among other influences Spielberg had. Period.

Great movie, and thanks for keeping this site alive.. Its freaking awesome! Got a question, on most DVD RIPS I download, the quality looks better on my standard TV than it does on my 42″ LCD HDTV when connecting through a DVD player. I use HDMI cables for my DVD-HDTV and component cables for my DVD-SDTV, I am pretty much forced to watch the movie on my laptop using a DVI/HDMI cable to my HDTV, which is by far the best picture of the 3 methods, but I dont like hooking my laptop up just to watch a movie everytime. Any information on this would be great.

RLSLOG completes me! thanks again for a great site with great releases…

Movie: 10/10 – Transformers fan of course ;)
Video: 7/10 – 1 pass, low quality fast motion. (disappointing.)
    Audio: Ground Pounding.. ;) .

note: The R5 was released 3 weeks ago, you finally got it, why couldn’t you wait another hour to give it another pass?. Quality is what counts, and you lost this race, even if you were first to release a RiP of it. Keep that in mind.

    September 28th, 2007 | 10:18

    @ 332

Video wise from the sample, HB’s release is not a big improvement over FLAiTE’s… while the resolution is bigger at 720×304, fl being at 640×272, when stretched the edges of the shapes are a bit blurry.

Audio wise… I found a problem… the sound is to low. Anyway, with AC3Filter I applied a gain, actually the maximum gain possible and it was alright after that.

Go with the FLAiTE’s version… it’s still the best at the moment.
