This is the first scene release I’ve seen of Total Drama Island. The first episode was aired in July 2007, but I’ve never heard of this animated series before now. This animated take on the reality genre sees 22 teens competing in physical challenges in a dilapidated summer camp setting over a sixty day period.

    It’s by the same people that did Clone High* ages ago which was a much more “mature but silly” cartoon aired in Canada and MTV. Clone High was hilarious, I don’t have much hope for TDI. :-)

    This is a kids show but its freakin great. It is a Canadian show. started last june a year ago.. this show makes fun of Reality show like Surviver..

    Do remember that this is a TV-PG-D, which is a first for Cartoon Network (besides their Adult Swim block). Might actually watch this myself, worth a try!

    Also, ETACH do usually release children’s programs, they release “Phineas and Ferb” too, but it’s hard to get your hands on, only one of their releases is on a torrent from what I can find!

    Interestingly, this release is 4:3 format, the original airing of the show on Teletoon here in Canada was all 16:9 widescreen.
