Total Commander v7.03 Multilingual WinALL Regged-BLiZZARD

Total Commander is well known windows explorer replacement with bunch of advanced options. And this is v7.03 provided by BLiZZARD group.

Description:

Total Commander (former Wincmd) is a file manager for Windows similar to the Windows Explorer. But Total Commander uses a different approach: it has two fixed windows side by side like a well-known file manager for DOS.

Total Commander handles archives like subdirectories. It supports ZIP/ARJ/LHA/RAR/UC2/TAR/GZ/CAB/ACE archives, and has an internal ZIP-compatible packer. The search function allows to search for files inside archives, even for text.

Features in Total Commander 7.03 now include :

  • Two file windows side by side
  • Multiple language support
  • Enhanced search function
  • Compare files (now with editor) / synchronize directories
  • Quick View panel with bitmap display
  • ZIP, ARJ, LZH, RAR, UC2, TAR, GZ, CAB, ACE archive handling + plugins
  • Built-in FTP client with FXP (server to server) and HTTP proxy support
  • Parallel port link, multi-rename tool
  • Tabbed interface, regular expressions, history+favorites buttons
  • Thumbnails view, custom columns, enhanced search
  • New: Updated interface+icons, compare editor, cursor in lister, separate trees, logging, enhanced overwrite dialog etc.

Most people I think find it difficult to use this software, but let time show you that the benefits are great, except the name of the Windows this is the name that sticked along in time for me, and it’s the same as a law that doesn’t get changed, it doesn’t get changed very much and has the same essence, even when my pc is in heavy load, only if the HDD is heavy reading or the cpu, one can see the signs of fatique on Total Commander, I know most of you guys might not understand what I’m sayng and I don’t blame you, perhaps it’s not as much EYE candy as you expected, but …

This is one of the best software for helping with fast file operations, I don’t know where one can find options like buffer copy settings, direct browsin in archives, thumbnails, plugins to view various files, if you have IrfanView anything it can read TC will be able to read too if you link them up.

This is far best file-management utility ever, since Norton Commander for DOS. I am using Windows Commander (former name) since Windows 3.1 appears, 14 years and counting. It is not expensive and I will recommend to buy a license, Christian has done terrific job.

The reason I’ve been looking for a replacement File Manager is because I found that the one provided by Windows Vista impossible to navigate easily. I was fairly happy with the Explorer in XP (which I boot into more than Vista) but well Vista uses a whole new set of rules and prevents access to files that I often need access to.

I tried Total Commander in Vista but found it to be a bit cumbersome and the gui was absolutely awful. I decided to try a selection of alternatives that would work in Vista and concluded that the one for me is Xplorer2. It has a multitude of features and looks good too. Try it – I don’t think you’ll be disappointed

That one is another alternative, and a freeware too.
Been using that one to replace Windows Explorer.
Of course not as feature rich as Total Commander, but it gets the job done and I don’t really need many of Total Commander’s tidbits.

A great tool for managing your files!!. Explorer is old and unuseful stuff. Total commander allows you compress and uncompress files (you choose from rar, zip, ace, etc) directly from this program. Want to see pic? Don’t open other tools, TC is just what you need. Just click on the image and voilá!!. Want to manager your Lan?… Well TC can do it for you too!!
I have this precious tool from v3.1 and is cool and easy stuff. I used to use Norton Commander too :D

If I use it, Why don’t you use it too? ha ha ha ha ;P

    Greetings

    TC is great.

Made the switch after continous crashing of WinExplor…piece of crap re: movement of lots of files btwn directories/drives…is sooooooooooo limited.

Anyway, TC handles moving/copying files&directories a snap…no overload probs like WinExplor. Only limit seems to be rename function / have to go into another screen (vs WinExplorer..right click and rename)

“I decided to try a selection of alternatives that would work in Vista and concluded that the one for me is Xplorer2. It has a multitude of features and looks good too.”

It looks like Explorer. Yuck! I use a file manager to get away from Explorer.

“Wow a file manager that doesn’t support Unicode… that alone makes it not worth it at all”

The history file claims Unicode support was added with version 6.0. The entries for 7.xx contain a lot of Unicode fixes.

As for me, I couldn’t live with Total Commander. I’ve been using pirated versions, but I’ve going to register it soon. It’s amazing how many things I take for granted being about to do with TC that are difficult if not impossible with Explorer. Opening a file of any type to see what’s inside it, comparing two files to see if they’re identical, searching for duplicate files, copying filenames to the clipboard, treating archives like directories, etc.

Sometimes I want to tell someone else how to do something and I have to stop and think how to explain it to them, since they don’t have TC.

One of the best classic dual panel file managers, you can’t beat the fast and efficient management of files/folders of this type of managers, windows explorer is nothing compared to this, using only the keyboard your speed and efficiency of managing large amounts of data will simply triple. Total Commander it is for the GUI lovers and FAR Manager for the old fart nostalgia of text mode file management. Two Champs.

    April 26th, 2008 | 20:14

@Stevo: I have raid1 and everything is alright! Stop lying n00b!
@kelmal: What are you talking about? You can rename files as in Explorer! Select file and then click on the name! Its that easy! LOL! Also press the right-click for 2 seconds and you will have the contextual menu from Explorer!

BTW: With this program you can copy/move very fast files not like in Explorer when copying very big files can make the system freeze!
Don’t forget to use F2(queue) for multiple files/directories!
