TorrentLeech temporarily offline

Many of you have been wondering what has happened to TorrentLeech, one of the biggest private trackers of the world. Their website is offline since the morning and there haven’t been any announcements or notices about this downtime. The reason for this temporary unavailability of their website is a server upgrade, according to the official IRC channel. Active users of Torrentleech could notice a little slowdown after the Dutch hosting provider Leaseweb kicked them out and the whole tracker had to find a new home – an unknown hosting in Malaysia, a much more secure offshore location.

UPDATE: I talked with one of the Torrentleech’s administrators and he confirmed it’s just a server upgrade, no legal issues or similar problems. The staff is just adding more horsepower for a comfortable usability of thousands of Torrentleech users. The site should be relaunched within few hours.

    Glad to see its back but running a little slow but should be good when they sort out the problems completely!. Still getting a connection error(timeout) message on my tracker though. It sucks cos i’ve been trying to download someof the complete survivor series and wrestlemania packs from torrentleech and most of the seeds have gone! probably thought the site was dead!

    down again for a short time i’d imagine to fix the last lot of problems they were having. At least the tracker is back up and running though!!

    Okay, To those wondering about Torrentleech, here’s latest news, RIGHT NOW ON SITE!!

    you = dumb… few hours ago i was able to see the browser list, all with less than 1 to 4 seeders on all the torrents

    now they are running the tracker but not the site

    Regarding invitations, I think after the recent abuse of Invitations on Torrent Leech regarding the selling of invites on Fleabay anyone who gives out an invitation to a complete stranger regardless of there ratio on other sites is probably a risky move. My thoughts only give invitations to people you trust.

    The sad thing is that you two Jack-asses (Stupid, and Bob A Ganush) have nothing better to do than sit around and jack each other off while taking advantage of people just trying to get good download speeds/torrents.     Site isn’t coming up right now. It’s 1030 CST Feb.7.08. Invites are open now, but limited to 1 per user and they are getting very strict on dumbass users and banning the people who invite them.

    I am an oldtime user who somehow have got locked out at TL (DNS?) since early January. I think my account is hijacked because i cannot do a password recover and
    my stepson who also is a member says my account is nearly always logged in.

    I’ve heard that TL is DOWN FOR GOOD. Saying that it will not ome back. Police is involved. It’s been more than 24 hours that it is offline. I hope that those are just gossips.
