Torque Game Builder v.1.7.4-RECOiL

Ready to make your own side scrolling adventure game, but just bought your first programming book last week? For the absolute beginner, Torque Game Builder has an extensive library of tutorials to learn how to make a game, including all the art and source right out of the digital box. And once you become an expert at the C++ like TorqueScript coding language, it’s a snap to add more dimension to your life by creating 3D games with Torque Game Engine Advanced.

Or maybe you’re a coding veteran who just mortgaged his house to establish a game studio. TGB has been used to make the most-downloaded casual games at portals such as Big Fish Games and Reflexive Arcade. TGB supports not only PC development, but also allows you to access the Mac and Linux markets. And for the truly talented, you can take a TGB prototype and port it to either Torque 360 or Torque for Wii to fulfill your dreams of games on a console.

Yeah i love unzipping a big zip that contains broken up zips which each contain a rar. Is bandwidth such a priority? You get one f*cking kilobyte of savings by doing this.

Screw the assh*le that packaged this.

This is an excellent development tool. In my work as a major coder I have used this to create such masterpieces (if I do say so myself) as the CryEngine2 (errr anyone heard of CRYSIS…) and of course converting PhysX to CUDA fo’ N’Viddy.

Just recently I have been using it to create a new system of BIOS’, it’s support for assembly is remarkable! I plan to implement games during system startup to idle away the few seconds booting up takes. So far things are looking V.promising, I have full DX10 implemented (via my bios) in a Pong style game, I call my bios, pios (PONG input output system you see!!!), anyway, my colleagues tell me that my PIOS is like a ripoff of both IBM’s BIOS and Atari’s Pong but I’m all like “hey Holmes don’t get up in my face, it’s called HOMAGE”.

So anyway, download this and you can be as leet as me. I am off to look at lolcats now and I am talking about the originals (in ur face!).

    Goodnight

Looking for a client database app suitable for a salon. Need to keep track of a database of clients, their details, text notes from appointments and a range of associated photo’s and tiff files etc.

Have looked around heaps and what is available is either crappy reproductions of outlook or is way too expensive for someone like me starting out as a solo practitioner.

Any help would be good Karma for you :)

Are you looking for something like Filemaker pro?

    @Jay

    Hi Jay
Hoping to find a specific App that is already set up rather than a build your own database. Just don’t have the time to spend a day or two at the moment setting something up.

Beats me why it has been hard to find something, I scan hard copies of client paper work & client pictures and I was hoping to find an application that would help me manage those files along with text notes and contact details.

I would have thought that a lot of sole operators would have needed a similar App. But like I say most of what I have seen is just a repackaged day planner or outlook substitute.
I use Google calendar because of the sms reminders, it rocks!

Hello, when I am not coding software in torque, I am a Hairdresser trained to NVQ3!!!

Anyway, I have leet hair skills, I specialise in natural hair extensions and weaves.

Anyway, I have setup a few salons and the choice of software out there is not thin on the ground.

    http://www.salon-software.com/cd-or-download.shtml

I am sure you have tried most of them and they must be missing some major funtionality or something but anyway worth a try.

In other news, my girlfriend just left me and moved abroad ’cause I spend most of my time sat infront of computers. This is a habit I am willing to break for the right lady. So Lucy, I ask you, would you like to go out sometime?

They are also selling the source to Torque Game Builder, anyone got it? I’d really like to see how it works and maybe a port to different platforms is possible?

I tried something similar on the Mac platform once (may even be the same one) and it was easy to make a side-scrolling shooter game like Contra. But compiled game engine performance was chuggy and latent. Nothing like console sideshooters at all.

Might be a good tool to quickly see what your background assets, sprites and sound look like together though.

Yeah, Marble Blast Ultra is great! This tool looks cool. I like doing artwork on the PC, might try and make a lame game :-) .
