Torchlight v1.15 Update-SKIDROW

SKIDROW group pre’d 1.15 update for Torchlight game. We made a post few months ago about Torchligh release here. For changelog & fixes read here.

Description: Torchlight is an action role-playing-game for the PC made by the creators of Diablo, Fate, and the never-released Mythos among other games. Set in the mining town of Torchlight, players will adventure to uncover the mysteries of the Ember mines. It offers a fully featured character leveling system, randomized dungeons, hordes of monsters, and gobs of great loot. The adventure is set in the mining settlement of Torchlight, a boomtown founded on the discovery of rich veins of Ember – a rare and mysterious ore with the power to enchant or corrupt all that it contacts. This corruptive power may have dire consequences however, and players set out into the nearby mountains and depths below to discover the full extent of Ember’s influence on the civilizations that have come before.

    @24

    you’ll most likely need the full game, cause it’s like 500mb for the game, why would an update + the full game be less in size?

    Has anyone gotten this to work ? There are three versions of the update: Torchlightgame.com, partner, and box. Which original game do I need, and do I need to install 1.12 first ? Thanks.

    @39

    Install the game from http://www.rlslog.net/torchlight-skidrow/ (burn or use something like Virtual Clone drive); install update from this thread; apply crack from post @25 and that’s it.

    I refuse to pay top dollar for games but this little gem is dirt cheap on Steam and the small developer really needs the support. I don’t want to sound preachy but consider that without support small developers will just go out of business and we all lose. Be fair and reward those that deserve it if you can afford it.

    @Observer, I do agree, the gameplay is solid…..however, I fail why it is ethical to support Torchlight, and not the blockbuster games. Is 2K Boston, who spent close to 3 years developing Bioshock 2, unworthy of patronage? That’s why you should pirate Torchlight first then play it while you wait for your Bioshock 2 download to finish like I am doing now.

    @ HersyAli, nothing wrong in supporting big developers like 2K Boston too IF you can afford it. My point is its just so cheap refusing to pay so little for a great game like Torchlight and just pirate away in spite the unfortunate consequences for such a small developer.

    @observer. Big development studio’s are also sensitive to piracy. In fact they are probably even more sensitive b/c they have huge development cost while at the same time maintaining large payrolls(created during the good times) that are currently unsustainable given depressed market. For every Modern Warfare 2, there are three Wolfensteins(2009) where the studio has to lay off more than half it workforce b/c the blockbuster game they just released wasn’t a runaway success.

    Given that, point taken about the small developers. However given the nature of the site, I don’t think it appropriate to make moral judgments at all.
