m guessing u have a geforce 6/7 card.
update the driver of ur card.
plus if you are familiar with with windows registry then do this…
Run RegEdit and navigate to the following directory:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Crystal Dynamics/Tomb Raider: Underworld/Graphics

In the list find the field 'DontDeferShaderCreation' and change the value to '0' (it should be set at 1)

Exit RegEdit

How this will fix ur problem.

Secondly there is an official patch for the bug fixes Install that too

I mounted the ISO onto PowerISO v3.8 Virtual Drive and the game installed just fine. But when I go to start the game from the desktop icon, it say “Failed to initialize Direct3D with current settings”. Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Noting wrong with the game exept for some few bugs but none that stops you.

the 2th wheel is not at the altar..use your brain..it is located in one of the two small temples that is infront of the main tempel.

How to install:
1-download all 14 files.
2-Extract files with password of: tooth
3-After you extract files you end up with a 7.7GB ISO Image.
4-Mount ISO image on your virtual driver. or burn ISO image to double layer DVD.
5-Install the game from mounted Image or burned Doulble layer DVD.
6-Pick your language: English/French/Italian/Dutch-Nederlands/Spanish.
7-After you install the game, your game folder is 7.7GB in size.
8-Download the crack.
9-Replace your installed tru.exe with the cracked tru.exe
10-Launch the game. Enjoy!
