There is solution for the ‘license expired’ problem. though the solution is not permanent you have to repeat it after few days.

You will not loose your (auto)savegames !!!
It will work, tried it my self, so don’t use other patches or cracks they will mess things up!!!!!

You will need the programs Unlocker (needs to be installed first) and TrashReg (no istall needed just unzip and run exe) (find them with google)

When you have the programs ready go to C:\Documents and Settings\****\Application Data

Where C: is the Root Directory (where WINDOWS is installed) and **** is your username.

Note: You will have to enable show hidden files and folders (tools/folder options/view/show hidden files and folders)
to see the Application Data folder.

In the Application Data folder find and right click the SecuROM folder and select Unlocker,
select delete in the drop down menu and press ok.

Next run TrashReg, select ‘File’ and ‘Find Keys with NULL embedded names’ and press OK.
Right click and delete the entry ‘!CAUTION! NEVER DELETE OR CHANGE ANY KEY|0|’.
(If you cannot find the entry, you might need to select Find keys with NULL-embedded names from
the file menu of the application and make sure all options are selected)

Now go to start/run and type regedit.
Select Edit and Find and type SecuROM.
In the list of entries on the left you will see SecuROM, right click and delete it.

Now you can play the game again!

When you open your My Documents folder you will find a folder with the name ‘Eidos’ in it is a
subfolder ‘Tomb Raider – Anniversary’ and in that one the subfolder ‘Default Profile’ put the .
TRASave files in this folder. When you created a custom profile in the game that you use then
put the savegames in that folder.

Now you can load them when you start the game.

I still can play the R55 version after removing the sec*rom protection,
when i had that licensedate expired problem, with the solution i wrote in this comments
(see above), had to repeat it after a few months when the license expired message popped up again.
Didn’t loose savegames or anything.
