Because console section don’t means X360 section ;) here we have this great PS2 game, good graphics for a good adventure, enjoy!

In the third-person action-adventure game The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, players will take on the roles of Rick O’Connell and his son, Alex (played by Brendan Fraser and Luke Ford, respectively, in the film). Gamers will follow the lead characters on their harrowing journey - across exotic locations from ancient Chinese catacombs to beautiful, but dangerous, Himalayan peaks - to defeat the revived servants of the Dragon Emperor (Jet Li).

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor allows players to switch seamlessly between gunplay and hand-to-hand melee attacks, and also features a fast and fluid combat system and an arsenal of weaponry that can be used to vanquish the many bone-chilling enemies players will face during their journey. Fans of the upcoming Universal Pictures film, directed by Rob Cohen and set to hit theatres this August 1st, will fight their way through The Mummy universe by utilizing combat, puzzle-solving and hieroglyphic decoding gameplay elements.

    Who DOESN’T play ps2 games? some of the best games of the past 8years are on the ps2; the 360 and the ps3 game libraries are anaemic and weak in comparison.

    A gamer will still be playing 80’s arcade games, along with C64/Amiga/SNES/MegaDrive/PS1/Saturn/Dreamcast/N64/MVS/CPS1-2-3 etc. leaving the fanboys to play whatever is the newest console from their beloved sony or nintendo or ms.

    melc, the ps2 has been out for twice as long as the other system. ps3 is anemic. seems by your last statement your a ps2 fan boy if not sony. once the ps3 becomes no long backwards compatible, i guess ps2 it gonna die soon after.

    dreamcast FTW but it looks like crap on a widescreen tv lol

    Check the news dude, the PS2 isn’t going anywhere for quite a while. There’s over 130 new games still in development for it and a 4th generation console is being released in time for Christmas (smaller than a Slimline and with an internal AC adapter).

    Sony are planning to at (the very) least 10 years out of the PS2 (it will be marketed to a different demographic than the PS3). They way that things are going, the PS2 might even outlive its rival’s successor (the 360).

    Reason: I’m a ps2 fanboy? my favourite console of all time is still the dreamcast, followed by the snes and saturn.

    I even prefer the PS1 to the PS2. Some fanboy I am. I’m simply a realist

    “It’s been out twice as long” is a p iss poor excuse, I don’t care how long something has been out; just how fun it is - and the ps2 easily beats the ps3 and 360 for quality and quantity of games.

    The PS2 will die when games that are currently in development are finished for it. This time next year the PS3 will be down in price, all ps2 games that are now in production will have been released and the ps3 will have a decent catalogue of games. That’s when people will stop buying it, until then only the Wii can compete with it in sales figures.

    Easy solution to the DC looking crap on a WS TV - press the Aspect Ratio button on your TV remote control to 4:3. problem solved. (or keep an only 4:3 CRT TV just for retro consoles, it’s the best way to enjoy them - TFT/Plasma just isn’t good enough).

    If you have a fat PS2 you can also put a 3.5″ IDE HD in and not need to play from disc at all.

    hey no doubt PS2 was a great gaming plattform, but this game looks like cr*p!! the 4 year old God of War looks 10 times better and used more memory on a dvd… 1 GB graphix, speech, cutszenes and textures is usually pathetic.
