Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Vegas Update 1.03-HATEDOX
Release group HATEDOX finally released a proper version update 1.03 for Rainbow Six: Vegas. I’m using finally because there was already fake attempt to do so – labeled exactly the same, just with different group (ironically called LOVEDOX). That previous release was actually just patch 1.02, which is already available for some time. Protected by Securom 7.30.0013, it took some time to crack, but you can finally enjoy this almost 100 meg update…

* Enabled PunkBuster support.
* Fixed the game session creation bug (network failed to initialize) when using HTTP proxies (like Norton Personal Firewall) by using a different destination port.
* Fixed a dedicated LAN crash.
* Fixed the server listing that was capped.
* Fixed a bug that prevented picking up weapons when taking a dropped weapon from somebody who was in zoom mode when killed.
* Fixed the secondary console that was assigned to the quote character by default.
* Fixed the radar jammer sound that stays even after death.
* Fixed the floating C4 explosive and motion sensor floating when put on breakable items.
* Fixed the menu problem when mapping the [End] key.
* Fixed the chat so that it does not trigger actions when typing.
* Fixed a problem after picking-up a weapon on the ground equipped with laser beam.
* Fixed the canister that resets in Retrieval when the carrier is killed while taking cover.
* Fixed a Retrieval mode bug that caused a 2nd match from having no reachable canister.
* Fixed a bug that caused the user to lose his weapon without picking-up the one on the ground.
* Fixed some incorrect mapping messages.
* Added a check to warn the user if an instance of the game is already running.

I heard that this game requires Pixel Shader 3.0, but my ati only haves Pixel Shader 2.0b. Is it true that i won’t be able to play it with my ATI X800 XL?
sure you can play, i dont have the game. but i can assure you u can play. x800 xl might be a bit old, but no serious games developer would skip it.

1) Find the following files:

2) Find the following entry in all the files:
[D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice]
DisableShaderModel3=False
3) Change “False” to “True”.
4) Save files and see if the game starts. Ideally, this should be done on a non-Shader Model 3.0 video card to confirm the game will start without using SM 3.0 if this parameter is active.
I’m playing this on an AMD Ahlon 1800, Nvidia 6600 256mb vid card with no probs at all admitidly it is at the lowest settings due to CPU power, but having said that I’m still having a great time, also I’ve had no bugs appear in single play have yet to try on multi.
@barabbas you are right, i was wrong, and this game ask for to much “high end pc”, dont think il play it even though i own 6800gt.
anyway this game must have pixle shader 3.0 card or it wont work, and even of u do have it, this game is heavy, make sure you patch it to 1.3.
by looking at the bug’s list i have no idea how it worked at ver 1.0

Er, 6800gt supports 3.0. Low fps aside, I had no problems running the game with it.
can i get a key for mplayer or can i only play single player.

A lot of people have been playing 1.03 fine for a while just by using the no-cd patch you can get gamecopyworld – you can update with official latest patches from ubi etc. Single player or local LAN only though.
Guys, I’ve downloaded the 1.03 update but I cannot install it because it detects that R6Vegas_Game.exe is not the original one (and I didn’t backup the original file)…

i just finished the single player. the whole game is pretty good, the ending is very dissapointing, its similar to the ending in F.E.A.R

I can’t get it to work on my X800 ( I know it requires 3.0), but you’re fix with the cfgs that change false to true didn’t help
Have 2 PCs one is on X800 XL and the other nVidia(can’t remember model name). nVidia works great. But on X800 after renaming ‘false’ to ‘true’ as mentioned above, it doesn’t work still.
Having a patch problem. Everytime i double click on a patch it says:” Cannot determine version number. Patch will now be aborted. ”

I have a x850 and did the config changes you suggested, but it still wont work normally, but i hear the sound from the music and the “clicking” sound from the main menu buttons as i move my mouse, any suggestions to how i can make it fully work?

yeah i did the above thing with setting stuff to true from false. and it didn’t work with my x 800 XL. oh well, time to throw away more cash.

Ok, i did what Lenne told us, and the game starts on title, then it goes “loading” screen and then it takes an entire hour there, after that it stops (goes back to windows). I hear the music, too, during that. Personally, i think Lenne doesn’t fail in order to trying achieve the objective, but (read: -maybe-) there is something to be done yet. So, now i will try another 1-2 hours puttin True/False and those things in the codes, seekin for the truth.
Plz respond here anyone who tried (/will try) too.
I will do the same. I will report here ever on bad results.

I have a 6800GT, i use the unleashed version + YASU & 1.03 update and everything works great, i’ve been trying Tom Clancy’s releases lately but nothing really impressed me, actually they all sucked. Not this one tough, great game, i think that those who liked F.E.A.R. would enjoy this one as well.

i got only 768 mb RAM maybe thats the problem.
Got 5.6 Gb free on system volume, 15 gb free on volume where game is isntalled.

hi folks i have a R6 VEGAS game copy.i installed it but when i try to run yasu it says that it has hidden all virtual devices from safe disk 4x.what to do.i want to play the game. after that when i try to run the game it says insert th orignal retail disc of R6 vegas.
