Toadies – No Deliverance (Advance) (2008)

The newest album from Texas rock outfit Toadies pre’d today, a week and a half or so before it is to hit store shelves.  Toadies had several big hits in the 90s, including Top 10 Smash “Possum Kingdom”, “Away”, and “Tyler”.  Now, back together after initially breaking up a few years ago, I’m sure the hopes are high to get back to the platinum selling level.  I liked these guys, and saw them live back in the day.  Anyways, be sure to check this out.

Toadies is an alternative rock band from Fort Worth, Texas. The band’s lineup consisted of Todd Lewis on vocals/guitar, Mark Reznicek on drums, Lisa Umbarger on bass, and Clark Vogeler on guitar for most of the band’s existence. The band formed in 1989 and officially disbanded in 2001 after Umbarger left the group, closing the year with a farewell tour across Texas. After playing periodic concerts in the ensuing years with various bassists, the band reformed in 2008 and is currently touring for their upcoming album, No Deliverance, expected to be released on August 19, 2008.

Well, if you don’t like the website, that’s fine, just don’t use it. Also, is a FLAC release out?

Damn, I thought these guys broke up. Their album Hell Below/Stars Above was in heavy rotation in my player for quite a while after release. Can’t wait to hear this one.
