Keyword here is PAK which means that a packer tool is used in keygen to reduce its size-pack it. So, theres nothing to worry about…
Anyway i hate those people who think that sceners want harm their computers with trojans and other shit. If you are so suspicious about that, then BUY THE GOD DAMN THING, and stop complaining.

I feel confident that NO Trojan exists inside TMPGEnc or HAZE Patcher. I have been using this program for many months in various revisions with no problems. I run multiple antivirus/rootkit scan programs and none have raised any issues. I once used Trend Micro, but it was too quick at suspecting Trojans using the ubiquitous description of PAK_GENERIC.xxx, and being dead wrong!
Trend Micro uses a heuristic scan and is more of an alarmist with little to no substantive evidence for their efforts. I would recommend other scanners to anyone presently using Trend Micro.

For me to change my opinion, I would be interested in solid evidence from multiple scanning programs before I would throw away TMPGEnc. Also, people who have knocked TMPGEnc based on older versions have not really sampled all the improvements and tweaks added in the last year.

Does this version revert vista back to the basic colour scheme like previous versions do? This program is great for adding borders to .avi files, eliminating overscan on TVs. It handles xvid and .vob files once you have the codecs installed.

I use a simple program for avi files called Super DVD Creator and it is an idiot proof version. just follow the clicks and make a dvd to watch on your set top. Naturally you have to have the right codecs, but that is a gimme. When ripping a dvd I use RipIt4Me and dvd shrink. I have this stuffed into an rar file complete with all needed extra programs. If you cannot find it, let me know and I will gladly repost it back to rapidshare for anyone that wants it.
I have used these two tools and while i will try this one, it had better make me breakfast and wash my drawers before i will use it instead of my standby’s.
Oh yea…the DRM does not bother RipIt4Me as it bypasses it and gets the keys directly from the dvd itself, so it sorta forces the DVD into giving the keys to unlock the dvd to allow the program to copy it. makes picture perfect copies including all the extras.

Why not just use WINAVI, or ConvertXtoDVD????? TMPGE has a few more advanced features, but the possibility of burner coasters is huge. ConvertXtoDVD is the highest quality encoder I have ever used. Peace
Can somebody please explain how to apply the patch and the keygen. Whenever I click on keyfile maker, it says “license sucessfully generated”. And when I try to patch it, the program shows the following error “can’t load file, make sure it’s not in use”. I have checked my applications running in the background and none of them suggests that the program is running. I have tried it many times, but doesn’t work? Any fixes for my problem?? Thanks!
CONVERTXTODVD SUCKS REALLY BAD. is this program any good better then convertxtodvd?? because when i burn the movie to convertx the picture becomes stretched out. does this program burns avi files?
^^ you should try this one…but you might think it sucks as well. don’t you know how to set the app to get the quality you need?? the oneclick apps suck unless you set it. use your brain

One Word, DIKO (google it) uses this program or others (CCE, HCenc) to convert xvid etc.. give it a go…
mario think you spent to much time playing with your pipes and tring to save the “mushroom princess” CovertXtodvd does not suck i dont think any major dvdripping/encoding software that i have used sucks i think its just down to the user needing to put some more time into researching what the currect settings are depeneding on what the user wants. Had a quick look at TMPG Enc XPress and its got a nice GUI and some handy tools will have a more detailed look later.
DVDLab pro i would highly recommend for creating dvd menus etc…

CXD comes with its own library of Codecs and TMPGEnc does not. For example, you would need an XVID codec installed to use TMPGEnc with the bulk of videos referenced on this site. I use CXD for non critical videos and for odd formats like MKV. Also, CXD has menu building and DVD authoring capability and TMPGEnc does not. In fact, TMPGEnc is not a total solution, but is a top notch Video converter and includes some clip editing and rich filtering. You can input a file or a DVD and it will handle them both the same without any further handling on your part. The A/V filters are awesome. Color controls, sharpness, denoising, audio processing and all the stuff that you find in Virtual DUB but far easier and quicker to use. Lastly, on handling difficult AVI files, I found that CXD sometimes generates audio sync problems. Using TMPGEnc, I have only experienced that scenario on two occasions out of a few hundred projects and they were questionable AVIs.
I take the MPEG2 output of TMPGEnc and feed it into DVD-Lab and author a menu on the front end, then I burn the final project. Really, the MPEG2 quality and encoding options is hard to beat for most videos. If you were using Cinemacraft’s MPEG2 encoder, you would also need a Virtual DUB or Video editor as a preprocessor. And then you would need a separate authoring program after the encode. I find TMPGEnc + DVDLab to be a simple yet high quality solution.
why does it specifically say must have a internet connection to validate?
I agree ConvertXDVD is great, esp for newbs. You could always google and figure out away to set the aspect ratio to auto, 16:9, or 4:3 lol. If somebody is having a hard time encoding a streeched file, I wonder how they figured out how to download torrents? Also, ConverXDVD comes with all the codecs prepacked, and I have to say the sound and picture are much better then that montster Nero, or that has been program WINavi. Peace

If you are using Vista run the Keygen as Administrator”. To do this right click the icon and select “Run as Admistrator”.
Vista does not apps to write to the “Program Files” Directory otherwise.
Better yet, run XP service pack 3? I ran vista for about 1 year, and now i realize XP is the best! Unless you have X2 processor, and 2 gigs of ram? I dont know. The sky is the limit to support a system killer known as VISTA. I call it PISTA

This can’t burn DVD’s, you will need a separate program if you want to burn it on a DVD to watch the video on your TV with a dvd player. The program has a lot of potential. and has good results with my test…But unlike convertxtoDVD which burn the video after encoding this program doesn’t. Does anyone know what would be a good program to use with this to burn dvds that will be copmpatible to play on any DVD player?

I will give this a shot since it looks like it has a lot of nice features. I have tried WINAVI, dvdsanta, and even older versions of TMPGEnc for converting but they all suffered somewhere down the line.
I use ConvertXtoDVD simply because it is easy and quick at doing what it does, it has converted everything I have thrown at it flawlessly for years now, although it does struggle to join two video files effectively.
If I don’t require a menu or anything fancy then I use NeroBurningROM to stick the files to DVD, this also performs flawlessly if you burn at 4x speed or less.
But the best program for doing complex menus and transitions is DVDlabPRO (very quick at coverting too), it has sooooooo many options and can seem daunting when you first open it up but there are a lot of nice tutorials out there on the web and once you get good at it you can do some amazing stuff with it.
Maybe I got the whole programme wrong, but cant this make dvd’s into avi? If it can, how come i get an error when i use my dvd drive as source, “unsupported file” ?

Anyone know how to create chapter points for this program. I looked at the help files and I can’t seem to find any process of creating chapter points.
I have the same problem as @46. Im running xp, so the solution from @56 wont help me. The keygen created a lic-file in a different folder than the actual program. is that correct? how can i use the lic-file to get my key? And btw TMPGEnc4XP_SystemConfig.en.dat could not be shown in the same directory as the lic-file as described in the nfo.

You didn’t read properly the nfo!
You have to uninstall now…
Re-install the software, launch it one time. The serial asking screen appear : cancel registration.
Launch KeyGen/Patch exe from HAZE (”keygen.exe”).
Click “generate” then “patch”.
Launch the program, the message is gone away.
Doesn’t work for me too… Here is a working version.
Note: Don’t click on patch (it’s pre-patched)! Just fill the info needed and press generate. Then exit the keygen and start the software.

I’ve followed the instruction exactly as nfo said, run the main program once, exit, then run the keygen (generate license, then patch file). It works flawlessly.

will work with .mkv files, have to have codec installed on ur system. nevr had problem with app, anyone having issues prob have bad,misconfigured or missing codecs.
I feel really dumb but I just cant get the keygen to work. I installed, clicked on patch then on generate. Next I launched the program and I still am asked to obtain a licensewhich it wont do. Anyone any suggestions?

When i go to generate the keygen it wants to save the file to someplace that doesnt exist and I thought the nfo said not to change the location. Ive tried to go to this file in AppData but it is anywhere to be found. Can anyone help?

Uninstall
Reinstall
Run TMPGEnc program 1st and click exit
Run Patch, use defaults for ease
Generate license
Patch executable
Works fine now.
