Torrent n00bs lol, 4.41 GB only takes 20 minutes on Usenet and Fios. Good release too very sharp picture and good audio, looks great on my 60″ plasma.

converting the movie into dvd format will result in lose of tremendous quality, so it’s pointless. best to just watch it off your pc.

It would take a little longer than 20 minutes with 512k via Usenet or Torrents…
i dont mean converting it back to dvd format i mean to keep it in x264 codec 720p format. I was just wondering whether its possible to burn it as data on a dvd 5 or dvd 9 depending on the file size obviously and playing it through a stand alone player or hd dvd player or something is this possible?

i dont think so. i dont have a hi-def stand alone player, but it would be just like burning an avi file on to dvd as data and trying to play that back. you could always give it a try. i doubt it’ll work though.
It won’t work. Your DVD player won’t hold the necessary codecs needed to decode the data, also it won’t have a sufficient CPU to do so.
Is there anything on the market that can do this yet?
Meh, I’ll just hook my laptop up to my TV instead.

You cant playback a hdtv x263 file on a standard DVD player without converting (and downscaling) to a standard TV format (NTSC 480pixel interlaced or PAL 525pixel).
Playback is possible only on HD-DVD Player….BlueRay Player…on fast Pentium-4 or Core2Duo Prozessor (AMD X2 etc).
When this movie came out I creamed myself. the opening is greatness.
If there were real time cops they would go back in time and tell Van Damme to NOT be an actor in the future and keep his job as a poser doing the splits all the time and getting drunk.
p.s. why has he got that big lump on his head? was that where his mother dropped him?

This is mostly directed to Bram who wrote the comment.4 gods sake man,Van Damme’s Timecop a classic ? Next thing u ‘ll call a classic is Seagal’s 1991 OutForJustice-lol-(which it is,in a funny way of course). Timecop’s not the lamest movie of course but its a typical hollywood waste of money and recources on a meaningless,almost scriptless flick with one of the worse actors around VanDamme as main character. I’m a fan of some of his martial arts movies for what he did on screen but plz, he’s a lame actor. Bottom line? With any luck this is a 4-5 out of 10 bullchit movie (and this for the sfx) and not a classic in anyway ,and the whole world knows it ,so get real and plz stop writing these nonsense or u ll have us posting these reminders constantly.Cheerz m8

We know this movie is bad. Most VanDamme movies are. That’s what makes them so good. They’re those classic bad movies that you remember watching as a kid. They’re great.

@ JB : no matter how hard u overclock a p4 @2.4 ghz u can’t get the power of core2 quad @2.4ghz. Same here …u CANNOT play it on regular dvd player without downscaling it to normal resolution and acceptable by your player format – normal dvd players do not support the hd format ,not even if the video file can be fitted on a regular dual layer dvd-r or even single layer-period. My advice? Get a cheap hd capable graphics card for your pc and connect it to (supposing u already have it) your hd capable tv .
@ Deans :I was 27 at ‘93 -not a kid – and even if i was one this flick is so forgettable as the number on my last subway/bus ticket… lol
