Shock Value II, the hotly anticipated new album from super-producer Timbaland, is set for release December 8TH, 2009. The album is the follow-up to the multi-platinum 2007 album Timbaland Presents Shock Value which spawned three No. 1 pop singles: the Grammy-nominated “Give It To Me” (featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake), “The Way I Are,” (featuring Keri Hilson and D.O.E.), and a remix of OneRepublic’s multi-platinum blockbuster “Apologize.” This second iteration features guest appearances from Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Chris Daughtry, Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and Drake.

    I’ve been familiar with Timbaland’s work since more than 15 years ago, but now he’s starting to disappoint me. First, his quality as a producer is fading and secondly he lied when he said that in this project we participate also Jay-Z & Taylor Swift. Shame on him…

    I’ve been a fan of Timbaland since 1995, and i think the greatest disappointment is him leaving out people who made him who he is- Magoo, missy, ginuwine “up jumps the boogie, clock strikes twelve,” anyone?

    He was good 10 years ago, but he sounds pretty boring now, nothing inventive just the same old stuff, and he can’t match Dr Dre’s beats, not even close.
