Since Bioshock was pre’d earlier this afternoon, i guess many of you wont pay attention to this fine release from group HATRED. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 contains a few new features as well as some updated graphics but apart from that it plays pretty much the same as 07, 06 etc. If Golf is your kind of sport than I’m sure you will be able to appreciate the subtle new differences and features. As you said it’s a problem with EA’s installer so I ran the installer in windows 2000 compabiltiy mode and it now installs perfectly

Try having the game installer running and at the serial screen. I ran the keygen then and it automatically input the key for me as well. Worked fine.

Okay not sure what’s going on with this. used the keygen but it won’t run saying wrong disc inserted. Tried running the TW2008 exe in the hatred folder but that said there was an engine or something or other missing.

After applying the crack to the bin folder and trying to run it, im faced with this error:

If you have 2007, don’t even bother downloading this. It appears EA Sports spent exactly 1 hour upgrading this game, of which was spent on making the graphics for the outer box.
The graphics for the game on the other hand are FAR behind anything we should be seeing in 2007-8. This game looks like a suped up Nintendo 64.
No photo game face, no course manager. It would be better to just get the console version of this game, it appears EA Sports spends more time on those versions of this game.

Couldn’t tell you #21. I extracted everything and installed it to the same folder extracted to. Yanked the TW2008 out of the folder and copied it over the exe in the bin folder. It works fine. Don’t have Vista though.

The Keygen & crack is is within the folder “Hatred” when you unzip the zip files and open up the iso file, both keygen and crack are in there.
When it asks for the password to install, just click on keygen.exe, and click generate, and go back to the password portion and the password automatically goes in there.
When you go to play online though, that password will not work.
I tried generating 10 passwords and none of them let me log onto online.
Does anyone know how to generate a password to play online?.

John, you need to open up the .iso file (it’ll open with WinRAR) or mount the .iso with Daemon tools and browse the virtual drive. You’ll see the HATRED folder, which contains the keygen and crack (the .exe goes in the /bin folder in the TW08 default installation directory, recommend backing up the old one in case you need to patch at a later date).

2.instead of installing go to your drive where the image is mounted.
3.right click on the mounted image choose explore
4.look in the hatred folder
all is there no problem.
now stop twiddling your socks at the cpu and play some golf that simple..simple

I have tried to install latest version of directx (august version) and tried to run the setup.exe in win 2000 compatibility mode, but it still doesn’t work. I still get the message that directx 9c is needed. Anyone who can help?

Go into windows explorer, find the folder default folder where the game installed, Easports,Tigerwoodspgatour08, and there is a folder named “bin”. Copy the “TW2008.exe” file into that folder and ovewrite the existing file. Hope that helps.

The backswing goes well but when the time of impact comes, the computer freezes for a couple of seconds before the ball flies away. It sounds like a graphics problem but thats the only time I have a problem with it,,

I see a lot of people are having problems installing this game correctly, but just to let you guys know it’s definitely a good crack and any problem probably has to do either with the game itself or with your computer.
The game works perfectly on my computer. I’m running the game on a 64-bit Vista machine with 2GB RAM, 2×2.4GHz CPU and 8800GTX video card, so that’s quite a top-end system. I have all graphics options set to maximum and the game looks quite good, but nothing extremely spectacular.

I guess you guys complaining about the commentary have never played an EA Tiger Woods title before. You’ll hear no commentary or crowd reactions until you reach a later stage as you’re starting off as a hack, you wouldn’t expect a personal commentator and roaring spectators if you went to play at your local golf course would you?

It is not a cmputer problem when the game crashes at loading screen, I have a higher spec PC than yours and its does the same for me.
When your computer crashes it’s because u need to put the game resolution in 1024×720

hey hacheur… i changed to 1024×760 and every other setting, but still cannot get past the crashing thing…… no matter which course im loading it shuts down when the status bar fills….. anyone with advide would be great, getting really annoyed

It totally depends what mode you start with I guess, obviously you took a different route in 07, but if you play the career mode (or whatever EA want to call it) you shouldn’t get crowd and commentary right off the bat.
And for the record (if I interpreted your tone correctly) I didn’t mean for my comment to sound sarcastic.

jbird….. same thing happened to me, but if you go into the bin folder and open the app from there it will load…. however once you try to load a course from the main menu, it will crash and send you back to windows when the load bar fills….. at least for me… ive been trying to figure out why for a few days…. help from ANYBODY would be great… i really want to play

Why is it saying wrong disc when trying to open after installation? How do I get it to play? I have mounted the extracted iso file onto daemon, but it is still not working. Any help? Thanks.
Anybody else having choppy gameplay issues? It is fine for a few shots and then it will be choppy for a few, i.e. balls hangs in flight, poor response when using arrow keys to line up a putt etc.
I tried lowering the video options, but no difference.
I installed the game perfectly and it works. I am also having a problem with the lag with swinging the club(very annoying). I was gonna buy a xbox 360 controller for windows today but I’d rather play this game on PS3 or 360. The game is A LOT different than the console versions which is utterly dissapointing.
The console versions are easier to control, more functional, easier and fun to control. I dont know what happened when they made this game but I hope there is some way to make it better.

I find TW2008 on the J: disc (i downloade the game, used winrar and get the iso file, and used deamontools on the iso file and the it was on the J:)

This is nonsense, whatever I do the directx problem cannot be solved. Running XP 32 bit on c2duo 2 gig ram. I seriously wonder about those that did get it working, what did you do? Nothing works: changing the cfg file doesnt work, setting the comp mode to 2000 or 98/me results in not starting setup up at all. I am starting to believe it’s a hoax and that there are some bad versions out there for which hatred cant and wont take responsibility.

It seems like most people are having the same problems. Can anyone post an idiots guide on how to get this game to work? I can get as far as unzipping the large .iso file, but when I mount it with Daemon, explore in windows, I get stuck. None of the autoruns work.

hawt READ the nfo for crying out loud, it actually TELLS you the fixed exe is ON THE FRIGGING disc. So mount the disc image in daemon, open the virtual disc and grab the cracked exe from where the nfo says you to.

I have installed a few games before but this one seems to have a problem. Replacing the TGW2008.exe with the cracked one and i get a quick black dos box open and then close, thats it. Is there a problem with the cracked .exe? (It is in the bin Dir and has replaced the old .exe) If its the original it obviously asks for the DVD.

Looking through all these comments it seems that this game doesn’t run on Vista; has anyone got this working on Vista?
I am running it on Windows XP sp2 (Athlon 2500+, 1.5gig, 7600GT).
To install I did the following:
1. Open any one of the .rar files and unpack the .iso that’s inside.
2. Use Daemon tools to run a virtual drive; mount the .iso.
3. Browse virtual drive for HATRED folder (may need to “View as list” in Windows to see it) and run keygen.
4. Install TW08 using created key.
5. Browse virtual drive for HATRED folder and copy TW08.exe from there to “…Tiger Woods 08/bin/”.
6. Run via desktop shortcut (created during install).
I found no need to change compatability mode and don’t get engine.dll error. I hope this helps some of you!

Oh and if the mounted image doesn’t Autorun, simply go to My Computer and double-click the virtual drive from there. (You can also right-click and open/browse it from here in order to find the HATRED folder).

I did exactly the same.
and the new crack executable does not run properly in the Bin folder. I have no idea why. It is 4 Mb as opposed to the original 8Mb one which i thought was considerably less. I thought it might still be compressed ^^ but its not.

It would seem that extracting the files I needed from the hatred folder using Power ISO was not working. i have just used Magic ISO and everything is fine.

Interesting that it wasn’t working with PowerISO, maybe this will help others. Yes the cracked .exe is half the size.
The htd-tw08 files are all the same RAR archive (containing the .iso) but split into smaller .rar packets. You’ll notice that whichever one you open will show the same .iso inside (should have this symbol -> next to it to show it continues in another .rar) but you’ll need them all in order to unpack it.

Besides: the install does not run at all after changing the comp mode.
Game crashes randomly for me. Sux when you just got a birdie and your opponent is putting for double bogey and it crash causing you to have to replay the hole from the tee..
For all those having DX problems -
1 – Open Windows Explorer, browse to the TW disc, right click on Autorun.exe, select the compatibility tab and change to Windows 2000 (not 98/ME). Ok the dialog, and re-run setup by double clicking the Autorun.exe.
If 1 does not work, then method 2 is -
Copy the entire contents of the disc to a temporary directory on your local harddrive (e.g. C:\TWInstall). Then, Windows Explorer, browse to this directory, then into the Autorun directory. Open the file Autorun.cfg in Notepad (or similar). Find the line DirectXVersion=9.0c, and change the 9.0c to 0. Save the file and re-run setup using the Autorun link (retain the Win2K compatibility).
Seems a known issue on this install as is mentioned on the installer’s readme.txt file !!!!!
Everyone do not waste your time downloading this game.I eventually got it to work and honestly it’s the worst pc golf game I have ever played. I’ve had nearly all pga games in the past and this version is so bad it’s even worse than last years pathetic attempt. The graphics look awful (cartoon) like and even the main menus are awful. EA shouldn’t even have been allowd to release this for pc until they come up with something on the same lines as the console versions. GO BUY THIS FOR CONSOLE
When I mount it on Daemon, I get a message “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000005). Click on OK to terminate the applicate” That’s where I’m stuck.
I also noticed after unpacking, there is another RAR file 0compressed which has a few more folders. Where am I going wrong??
im guessing ea will come up with a patch maybe? to fix all these problems, how could u realease a game with so many bugs in it? i dont get it, i actually dont mind the game itself and its graphics aren’t the best but after i turned them up they were better, the water and everything, but besides the fact, its really annoying when your trying to do the tiger challenge and your doing good and it just randomly crashes on you..
If someone have directx problem and change compatibility doesnt work, try this solution – go to start menu –> run and in the run box type in
d:\\autorun.exe -DXInstalled where d:\\ is your optical drive letter. This will tell the game to skip the DX installation step and the license agreement. Worked first time for me. (i find it on easports forums) it finaly works for me.

okay there seems to be a problem with the crack that is given with the game sometimes it works as people have said and some times is doesnt and i am one of those that doesnt work unfortunately here are the basic steps i did to install the game that is not working if i am doing anything wrong please reply
1. mounted the .rar file using daemon tools
2. installed the game and the keygenerator worked perfectly
3. inserted the NO CD crack in to the bin folder and it never asked me to replace it like most games usually would it just created a shortcut inside the bin folder
4. hopeing that the game would work i tryed opening the game and it just said please insert the original cd so the crack must not work

Ok people with problems listen up!
I’ll do my best to answer everyone’s questions, and apologise if I sound patronizing but want to be as a basic and clear as possible.
Problems with Keygen:
download the TW08 game file from rapidshare or whatever… unzip the entire thing into a folder to keep it all together. You’ll get a large ISO file the end of it. You will need to “mount” (basically put the entire 2 gig ISO file) on to a dvd disc. If you need help mounting, write “mounting ISO files” or something like that in to google. This should give you a step by step guide to mounting this game. Once you have the disc created you now have an artificial copy of the game on a disc. When the disc is now re-inserted back into your PC it will believe that this is a copy of the game. When prompted “what would you like to do with this disc” explore the files on the disc. Another way is go Start>my computer>right click on the disc> explore. There will be a folder named HATRED. Open this and there is a program called keygen. running this app will generate a cd key which tricks the game in to thinking you have a valid licence key. copy 3 different ones down. (keep re-genning) When installing it should then prompt you for that key. Type it in and continue with the installation.
Problems with Vista:
If you are running Vista let me tell you now…. cut your losses. I have spent 3 days trying every trick in the book and have constantly hit the “wrong disc” brick wall. I have copied the original to hard drive and changed the autorun direct x problem. I have tried running the autorun.exe under windows 2000 compatibility tabs. I have been to every forum and tried every trick. It seems the hatred boys underestimated the sheer nastiness of Vista. I can only suggest waiting for it to be released and find a copy of the engine.dll and see what that does.
Direct X problems.
Explore the disc and find the file “autorun.cfg” file and open it with notepad. Change the Direct x option from 9.0c to 0. Then save it, making sure you don’t change any of the filename or save it as a .txt file. This seems to be the only working solution out there.

If you have tried these options and it still doesn’t work, go out and steal the game, trust me after 3 days of trying to figure this crap out, theft is a real tempting solution.

Its all easy people the games works, it did take me a while to figure it out though, as for playing online, just go to walmart pay for the game get the cd code then take it back (cant get money back) but get another game 2 for 1 deal then your set or take it back and say cd wasnt in case but put up a good bitch about it, or you can keep complaining in here.
Anyone figure out the “shutting down after course loads” problem? I just installed (worked fine) and that is where I am at. If anyone has cracked that issue, please post.
Appears that after first run and you HAVE made yourself a profile, not all the required elements are copied over to the My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 folder resulting in the game exiting whenever you try to play PGA Tour or the Fed-Ex matches. To cure this go to My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Career\Players and open Tiger Woods folder. Inside there is a GCFS folder, open it and copy the entire contents (or just those elements missing from you own profile) over to YOUR profile directory and paste them into your profile’s GCFS folder. Restart the game and you should be able to play both PGA Tour and Fed-Ex now without the game exiting…

hi all this is my first game dl where i have had to use a “keygen & crack”. I have extracted all the files and can find the hatred folder with keygen and the crack but am really struggling to figure out what the hell to do next, do i need to put this game onto a dvd or can i run it straight off my pc any quick step by step help would be very much appreciaetd !!! I have managed to install all the files and used daemon to load the file however when i open the hatred file run keygen and try to open the game i get told engined.dll was not found if i try to open the game from my hard drive under (g:) i get told to insert the correct disc however i have mounted the game if anyone has advice i would be most grateful
Did you copy the TW08 file from the HATRED folder and replace it with the one in the BIN folder?

I have the game installed and can load the game up, when i go into any game mode and the loading process finishes the game just disapears, doesn’t minimize and takes me back to my desktop anybody have any idea ?

I tried copying everything from the tiger woods GCFS folder to my own but I’m still getting the crashes any time i try to play any part of the game. PGA Tour, Tiger Challenge even practice just crashes on me.

This might help – i have a vista laptop (game loaded then crashed when i started a round) and an xp home computer (came up with the Engine.dll was not found). All i did was download diretx 10 from the microsoft web page and now they both work. I don’t know why?? The game says it only needs directx 9.0c.

I have an image of the original disc written to DVD. It starts the installer fine, but after selecting install location the installer disappears and browser opens to register online. I can’t get past this. How do I avoid this?
I had a look at the NFO file. It appears that all I need is the keygen and crack. How do I get these files only. I had a look at the torrent and it, unfortunately, is made up of RAR files (.r00, .r01 etc.), so I can’t even just download the files I need.
I seem to have a problem. After I install it, I drag the TW2008 file in the HATRED section of the CD into the Installation file inside my computer. However, when I double-click, it says I dont have Engine.dll. What do I do?

can anyone shed any light on the crashing of this game at the end of the load screen. I have got the latest DX updates, adhere to the system spec requirements, done all the things suggested. I cant however change the bit about the dx in the autorun.cgf file, it says it read only and I cant get round it. If anyone can play this game and has had the problem, please share.

If some of you are still having trouble with Tiger Woods 08 on Vista (files not found) look in the installation directory (program files\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08) and there should be a directory called “bin” (program files\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08\bin). All the files that are supposedly “missing” are in there. Copy all those files (excluding the TW2008.exe file) to the directory up one level (program files\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08) and then run the program. It should work.

alright no one has had a real answer. heres what i did, tell me what i did wrong.
Extracted .iso file
Mounted .iso file to f: drive using daemon
Installed TW08 and used keygen in hatred folder
(when installed, did not create desktop icon for some reason)
explored f: drive and program file for tw08
tried to put TW2008 from hatred folder into original bin folder (C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\bin)
when i put the file from the hatred folder into the bin folder it doesnt make me overwrite original file. theyre different sizes. what do i do?
also, when i try to click on the original or the autorun in the actual folder, it says “insert original disk” or whatever. wtf?
Ive deleted the original TW2008 file in the bin folder first and then copied the one from the HATRED folder in its place but still nothing, im dying for a shot of this game, someone help a gal in despair
and then when I click the icon it just flashes on and off the screen even when I go to START/PROGRAMS/etc
Easy guide to install:
Before extracting check your downloaded folder has these files:
- 29 zipped up files of 48,829kb on of 12,310kb
- htd-tw08.sfv (1kb)
- hatred msinfo document (8kb)
Then to install:
- extract contents of downloaded folder to somewhere safe
- winrar should create one large rar file
- extract this to same location
- run setup (the one with the ea logo), NOT AUTORUN
- open keygen in hatred folder, use generated key when prompted. It should automatically fill in the number for you.
- follow usual installation process, select yes when asked if you want to install flash etc.
- close internet window when ea sports is opened it just slows everything down.
- watch game install
- finish installation
- extract zipped folders (ones ending with compressed) in htd-tw08 folder, overwrite all files
- in BIN folder that appears, rename tw2008 exe to original or something
- copy tw2008 from hatred folder into BIN folder
- double click new tw2008 and play

do you mean to extract the 0compressed.zip into the directory where tw-08 is installed eg c:\Program Files\Tiger Woods 2008? and then replace the files? i dont get what you mean in the above? ive tryed everything to play this tw-08 HATRED but, it installs ok, it starts ok but when ever try to play the game i allways get ‘could not initialize the selected course’ error? or if i try and play quick game it just goes to the desktop? anyone has any idea how to fix this dreaded ‘could not initialize the selected course’ error’

used power iso to extract files to folder on desktop
installed from folder
copied crack to bin file
wouldnt work so
copied and pasted entire bin file to first folder of installation and hey presto works a treat. doesnt lock up or freeze.

I went out and bought the game tiger 2008 and on two of my computers i kept getting missing dill files so after about ten of these i decided to try to reformatt my harddrive guess what it worked no problems after that. I dont know why it took reformatting my hard drives to get it to work so dont ask. Im running windows xp pro. I spent less time reformatting then i spent looking for dills

1.downloaded and installed winiso
2.burned the image to dvd with winiso
3.put dvd in dvd drive and insalled game useing the keygen

i cant get passed the loading thing.

Found a solution to engine.dll problem.
You need to copy the crack into the bin folder, then you’ll be fine.
So C:Programfiles/easports/bin.
Have the same problem with the game crashing when you try to load a course… Just seeing if anyone has figured out a solution to this. Running XP with the latest DirectX and 1024X768 resolution…

I install everything fine, but from reading some of these comments people are loading the game via the desktop icon. I’ve tried installing it 3 times and never got a desktop icon on any occasion. As a result when I try to load the game using the Start > All Programs menu a black DOS box appears, then disappears, then nothing happens!

I have this game installed on Windows Vista, 2.33 GHZ dual core, 3G RAM. It randomly crashes, which I see happens to many, however I haven’t read a post where someone complains about how long it takes between holes, typically 20 seconds staring at the scorecard. Anyone else have this problem?
I previoulsy had 2006 running on XP, 3GHz pentium 4 and it was much faster, and no crashing problems.
this game does not work, it installs ok for me on vista ultimate, but when i load any course it “CRASHES” waist of time and i think i will stick with tw pga tour 2007 that works great for me and its installed on vista ultimate too. cheers steve!
Steve, I thought 2007 only runs on XP, that’s what the system requirements on the box say. Are you sure you’re running it on Vista?
HELP ME!! I’ve unpacked, installed, used the keygen and mounted image to drive and all it says is please insert the original TW08 disc. tried for ages to work it out but gettin pretty annoyed now. Only thing i can think of is to crack it but not sure how. Where is the /bin folder and what is the TW08 default installation directory.

i have a 5200 dual processor with 2 gb 800 mhz ram plus 512 mem on the express graphics but when i run off the no cd patch the cpu heats up and the computer switches off. could be i need a bigger fan on the cpu.. comments welcolme.

I am having the same problem the game crashes the minute the load is finished. Just shuts off without any comment or details. I have single handedly read every post here in regards to all the problem people have been having with the game. Unfortunatly not one has seemed to be in regards to this issue particuliar issue. I’ve been following this forum for a while now, and hesitated to post seeing as how somebody would probably end up giving a solution to this loading crash. But there is no solution yet found or at least posted here… So I ask if anyone can help us out in regards to why the game crashes the minute you finish LOADING ANY WHATSOEVER mode of the game, it would certainly be appreciated.

Hi guys, have FINALLY got this to work, but have had 4 different downloads, this one definitely works 100%!!!
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 [English][PCDVD][WwW.GamesTorrents.CoM]
I’m a new user at too at downloading, bloody iso. bin. cue. etc, so here is the idiots guide to installing it!
1.after downloading double click on the first RAR file- a brown coloured book with winrar file under it
2. it will take you to winrar and simply show you the whole file as 1 image file- htd-tw08.iso
3. to make life easier I created a NEW folder in my tiger woods download folder called “extract”-but call it anything you like, just makes sense to keep everything together!
4. click on the image file in win rar, then click on extract to, then find the “extract” folder that you have created and press ok, it will now start extracting all the files to your new “extract” folder.
5. when finished open “extract”folder, I put the iso image file-it’s the only file there, into power iso or magic iso, etc.
6. open the file in your iso coverter, then place a blank dvd and burn it to dvd-though you could burn it to a virtual drive-haven’t tried that one yet!!!
7. while it’s burning have a look at ALL the files on the opened iso -you’ll see it starts with folder AUTORUN and ends with TW08_inst.exe
Look down six folders till you get to HATRED, double click and 3 exe files open up.
The first is just credits.
The second is the keygen.
The third is the installation crack.
8. So the dvd is burned, install, and when asked for keygen just double click the keygen file and it will automatically fill in the key-otherwise just write it in manually!
9. it will continue loading-I did’t worry about the online play yet, as wanted to make sure this works on my pc first!
10. restart the computer, then click on your “extract” folder, click on folder HATRED and the tgw.exe file has changed to a green golf club icon-this is your crack.
11. in programe files open ea sports, open bin folder and DELETE the tgw.exe file, it’ll be 8mb, then copy the cracked one into the bin file-it’ll be 4mb.
12. close all programs, then click on start / all programs / ea sports / tiger woods, and hey presto, it works!!!
Like I said haven’t tried online yet so no idea!!
Also my graphics card is OLD Nvidia Gfx 5600, 2.8 p4, 2mb ram, so not great but played it pretty well!!! Made the stupid mistake of buying it for the playstation 2-absolute crap, this is at least 20% better-and being a golfer I LOVED the ball flight and the improved putting and short game options- gonna have to get a new motherboard/cpu/graphics card and try it out!!!
Hope this has been off some help-and to the experts out there, we’re not lazy or stupid just beginners, so a little help would be really appreciated-don’t forget you were once a beginner too!!!

I have followed the instructions that Biga17 gave and every time I go to play the game it starts loading up the EASPORTS logo and then the screen goes black. I get an error report saying something bout libavcodec.dll. What is wrong with this? Everything seemed to install fine but I can’t figure out why it won’t load up. Any help would be appreciated. Never mind I found a solution to my problem on a easports forum. I had to removed ffdshow which allowed the game to load up.
Hi all this has been driving me craaazzzyyy for months, literally since last August since it was released.
I am the girlfriend who bought him the bloody game, and we’ve had nothing but problems. I contacted EA website and they tested my computer and all passed, supposedly all enough spec to play game, I really am At a loss as to what to do next. Have closed all pograms, shut down security even had a computer expert round (which has cost us a small fortune) I am with windows vista I have read all comments on this site and I am beginning to believe EA Sports are making a small fortune, because something somewhere stinks.Sorry (first timer) your games are not worth it for this hassle. After spending 2 frustrating weeks trying to get this game to run and reading for hours on differnt forums etc I stumbled across a set of video drivers for my Nvida 7800gs card.http://www.omegadrivers.net
My mate was also having the same problems with blank screens and crashing but with this set o drivers we run at max resolution and sliders all maxed out.
I cannot belive EA Sports or nvida do not know about this site or is this guy just a bit cleverer than they want to admit

After reading all these posts… i finally figured out the problem for the crashing…. at the end of my patients, i decided to play with the graphics options and low and behold… the problem for the crashing game was the shader level… all you need to do is start up the game, go to options.. go to manual settings…and turn off shader level… this will take care of all you problems with the game crashing at course loading… also.. if anyone still has any trouble with installing the game..i have a solution… just send me an email (johnq56@cwjamaica.com)

I was playing the PGA tour with my created guy, and in the middle of the year It starts Crashing. Rite after I added some different CLUBS,ATTRIBUTES, Jewelry,and a couple other things to my created guy. Then when I go to load up a STROKE play match in My Amateur career it crashes.Then when I try to restart it, it asks me if I wanna resume my game and I say yes, and it crashes again. Like I said it was working fine for the past 4 days I bee playing it. CAN ANYONE HELP. I have the retail version, and Windows Vista HP 32 bit.

I’m having a problem with running the game, but it’s different then all the problems posted here. When i try to run the game it gives a message error stating that “DX is reporting that there isn’t enough video memory to run the game” and i have a GF7500 LE 256MB(and in DXdiag tells me that theres is 313MB available for video), it isn’t the best of grapichs cards but it suits the minimum req. right? So can u help me plz?

Add my name to the list of people who get the warning about not being able load the selected course. Every mode I select, even the driving range, has a blank course list. No music, no sound in general actually, it’s even devoid of the EA Sports loading video when you first start the game.
Created my golfer just fine and configured all settings without a hitch. Just that one problem.
Hopefully a working version will surface soon, cause I’m out of options.

Im really needing some help…Ive been playing the game on VISTA with no problems at all…then suddenly it crashed and have not been able to restart the game…tried reinstalling and so on with no luck…basically when i run the game it just jumps to the EASPORTS intro but all i get is a white screen and then the game freezes…can anyone help with this one?????

Hi…. for people suffering with crashes when trying to create a new player…. I am assuming you have moved your “My Documents” folder onto a seperate partition as I had done. Thanks to EA’s coding you will need to restore the whole “my documents” folder back to it’s default location. Just right click on My Documents, Properties, then restore default.

I’m having a problem too. When i am playing (it does not matter which course it is) sometimes the game freezes, but i can hear the sounds of the game. It looks like a screenshot with sound. xD

when ever i start this game it shows .asi files missing they are in there so whts the problem same dl by hatred
You should expect alot of bugs from a group that will release a beta as the real thing…….if you don’t believe me open /bin/tw.ini using wordpad
dll problem? open bin folder copy all files in2 main folder,then it works
Ive just got the game and cant seem to get my gamepad to work. All the buttons work but it wont let me actually swing the club???? any ideas???

you have some problems with your favorite game or app, installed with InstallShield. Try this :
in \Program Files\Fichiers communs\ or \Program Files\Common Files\, find and rename directory “InstallShield”.
Uninstall your game or app, and re install.
Try and tell me more….
This is a corrupt player profile issue – usually with Tiger Woods profile.
Solution: Launch Game, Choose a Player other than Tiger, Play
Tiger won't show up anymore but you'll have to find another fix for that.
NOTE: This is a fix for when the game launches and you go to Play Now or select PGA Tour and game crashes.
I get a black screen as soon as I start the game. I have installed the game by Hatred, read this page and followed all the instructions. The task manager shows the game as "running". I have a dell laptop with all the system requirements necessary to play the game (except maybe the screen resolution 1280×800). Any suggestions about this problem?
I haven't had any problems with the install of TW08 but I actually downloaded mine from Vuze which actually is a simple interface for downloading torrents. I got TW08 and everything was very simple to install with great directions. There was one person on here that gave great and simple directions. Here is what was in my read me before I did anything.
Install Notes:
Burn or mount the image with magiciso v5.5.
Install it.
Generate key with keygen.exe
To install the crack copy the file TW2008 and paste it in
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\bin.
accept yes to replace.

Can't get any easier than that. I didn't even have to use more than the first code from the keygen.exe. The only thing that I'm finding is that I cannot play online at all, it says I have a invalid registration code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

anyone figured out de crash problem yet???
Same problem as everyone else. Everything installs fine, game loads fine, course loads, and then the game crashes. I have the computer to play the game. I tried the "shader level" idea, but it didn't work. There has to be a way to fix this. If anyone out there has the solution, that would be greatly appreciated by many so people.
I've mounted the iso and all that, but I can't even install it. I've tried autorun.exe, setup.exe, and TW08inst. All it says is, 'the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.' I've tried tunning it in compatibility mode for 2000 but it still doesn't work.
here is what i did
-unzip
-unzip the resulting file
-unzip the 3 0compressed files
-install
-copy and paste crack
-mount htd tw08 file (type of file is wiwrararchiver)
so im not sure if i mounted the correct file, though i think i did. another thing of note is that my computer doesnt have a disc drive, i dont know if this makes a diff cause the mounting appears to have worked. when i try to start it, the tiger woods 08 window pops up, and i click play, and then nothing else happens.
anyone that knows what their doing know whats goin on here, thanks.

After applying the crack to the bin folder and trying to run it, im faced with this error:
This applcation has failed to start because Engine.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
any one get this figured out?

copy the crack in the main folder c:/games/TigerWoods08
and in bin.. should not come engine.dll fail….
