Tijs Verwest aka Tiësto, formerly known as DJ Tiesto, releases his new album Elements of Life in mid-april. The Scene brings it to you now!The dutch maestro is back with his third studio album, and boy is it sublime. Right from the off we are treated to ’seeping’ bassline’s, ’soaring’ instrumentals and heart felt vocals. We are definetly seeing a different and more diverse side to what Tijs can do – and yes we are loving it…!!! The album itself reaches out to other genre’s such as house and techno but still keeping the trance influence intact. We shall see him embark on a year long world tour to visit many destinations and play to countless audiences to promote this masterpiece, because quite frankly thats what it is…!!!
“I am very excited about my new album and the new single from the album called ‘In The Dark’. It’s a very experimental piece of work and combines the style of rock with trance and electronic. This is the first time that I have combined these different genres. I have always liked rock music so it made sense, ” says Tiësto.

Thank you to whoever said Tiesto is a toy. Tiesto is the laughing stock of the electronic music community. He is a commodity. Tiesto may as well be the Pussycat Dolls, as all he does is put out predictable, utter shit. If you are genuinely interested in electronic music, check out artists already mentioned. While not my personal favorite, I would much rather recommend Carl Cox than Tiesto, and definitely Plastikman, as minimal or tech house is definitely pretty hot in the clubs right now. Check out James Zabiela mixes, as the man is a technical genious.
Well even after changing his artist name, Tiesto is still a dj. So he doesn’t really make his own music but mixes other peopple’s work together.
You cannot compare a DJ and hc electronic musician. I personally like both of them kinda much.

IMO Tiesto is still great, most of the mixes on this one are cool. He’s just not the best anymore and it doesn’t mind.

Hi! Well…I`ve read these comments, and I think that none of us will ever be on the same page when it comes to music. Someone likes I don`t know who , other ones likes another one, so that is why I think that it`s not right to say , that Tiesto sucks…He really is No 1 for many people, and just because another people don`t like him, that doesn`t mean that he is a loser.
