Tiesto – Elements Of Life Remixed (2008)

It’s been more than a year since the last DJ Tiesto’s release here at Releaselog and the popularity of this DJ simply deserves a little update. The very same scene group TRX released a new version of Tiesto’s remixed Elements Of Life, one of the best trance compilations ever. Don’t wait for anything, quality is guaranteed here…

After the success of his original Elements of Life album, Tiesto returns with a brand new remixed edition. All eleven tracks of the original album are presented in a remixed version, where the song Hes A Pirate is now replaced with the previously unavailable No More Heroes, a track Tiesto especially recorded for the performances of the Blue Man Group during some of his Elements of Life World Tour concerts.

The remixes included were made by established artists like Cosmic Gate, Dirty South and Fonzerelli to name a few and several of these new versions have been played extensively by Tiesto during his Elements of Life World Tour.

Tracklist:

    the original wasnt that great. i dont know what all the hullabaloo was about. im not saying it was bad (”elements of life” was a pretty good tune) but this has been hyped up too much.

    Um okay Elements spawned huge radio and club anthems “Break My Fall” – BT, “In The Dark” – Christian Burns, “Everything” – JES, “Sweet Things” – Charlotte Martin, and the monster hit that came before the album “DANCE4LIFE” – Maxi Jazz plus several killer Tiesto tracks! So yeah, in case you didn’t know the “hulabaloo” now you do =).

    Oh am I am SUPER STOKED for this release! Tiesto Kicks Ass!

    Any torrents yet?

    @DJ Harmless: I haven’t listened to your set yet but I agree that Tiesto’s popularity is due to his looks more than his skills. I used to spin at festivals and clubs in the southeast USA. I’m semi-retired only “bedroom djing” currently. However, I’ve played on the same stage as BT, Frankie Bones, Bad Boy Bill, Juan Atkins, Technical Itch, Decoder, Irene, Skribble(yeah the ole MTV guy, very cool irl and bad ass dj. I’ll get back to ya later today with my verdict on your(Harmless) set.
    Tiesto may come off as a “Diva” but thats just his publicists etc. He doesn’t act like a diva when in person though. He’s down to earth. I’d book him. :)

    ROFLMAO @29 VIDEO
    @Harmless: If you mix with turntables then you’re ready to play at clubs if you are using CDs or a software program then I would only compliment you on a good track selection. Watch your levels(volume). Tweak your mixes a bit more for style like playing with the EQs (e.g. turning the bass down on a breakdown while playing with the mid-range then get highs and mids back to normal and turn the bass knob in time with the beat to give the breakdown’s subsequent build-up and drop more emphasis) also consider giving the audience a “taste” of the next track by cutting into over to it for 2 beats before fully dropping it etc.

    Peace,

    dj fayt

    @djharmless:
    i do like more vocal trance, so your stuff isn’t my type
    however, i just want to say props to you for doing this – it is something i wish i had the time to pursue and i hope you get a bigger audience as time goes

    @dj harmless. you have a good selection of tunes there, but to be honest, your mixing and timing isn`t great. Your tunes are not cued up(you can`t beatmatch), you leave your tunes on far too long before bringing the next one in.
    Please take this as constructive critism. I don`t know how long you have been dj`ing for, but, imo, it sounds as though not too long.
