Saw this movie while travelling in Angon, France last summer (2006). It was one of 2 movies that were playing in English, but I didn’t want to see the other one. Short story even shorter, I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of that theatre! If the person I was with didn’t partially enjoy it I’d have been out of there within the first 20 minutes!

This fantasy drama movie is about a poor young little girl who lost her parents in one form or another and is left by herself with no one to take care of her through out the whole movie, suffering from delusions, physcological disorientation, and mental degradation.

@21 : Ha, yeah, those part is kinda mess up . I kept saying wtf the entire movie . Or the love part between that young girl and that weird guy o_O … raising the question of pedophile lolz .
These are good for movie but really mess up if someone suck into it . Only recommended for open minded person (cuz it’s just way out there o_O compare to regular movie u see), and prefer they are old enough (and no 12 or 16 yrs old kidz plz).

I watched this movie a few weeks ago on HDNET (N.American HDTV channel); and if you are high on some sort of drug this movie will mess with you if you are sober you might get annoyed by the bad acting and oddness of it.

The little girl putting makeup and costume on her fathers slowly decomposing corpse is quite unsettling and causes you to ask “i wonder if she realizes that he is dead and is just in denial?”; and then you come to the realization that this movie is just plain f*cked up.

Personally i don’t think the 6.5GB is worth it from a time or bandwidth standpoint unless you happen to have REALLY good speeds on bitorrent, but if you can catch it on TV i would say that if you are in an altered state of mind it might be worth it.

Other Thoughts: Movies that require you to be in an altered state of mind to enjoy them always walk that fine line of being terribly annoying vs. brilliantly insane.

I love terry gilliam’s films but i hated this movie.

You can tell its trying to be edgy and disturbing, but it just sits there and goes NOWHERE.

The retail DVD rip had a screwed up aspect ratio (it’s in the source); is the HDRip any better?

I wouldn’t show it to my 12 year old sister, but I’d show it to yours.
