Tideland 2005 LiMiTED 720p HDDVD x264-SiNNERS
Aight guys, been away for a while but here I am again with a new HDRiP: Tideland (2005) released by, who else, SiNNERS. It has a decent IMDB rating and the reviews are good too, so I think this will be a nice movie to watch. I haven’t seen it myself so I can’t really say how the story is (the plot sounds okay).

Jeliza-Rose (Ferland) is a young girl in a very unusual situation - both of her parents are junkies and she is usually left to her own devices for entertainment. When her mother dies, her father (Bridges), a rock ‘n roll musician well past his prime, takes her to a remote farm in the country, she escapes the vast loneliness of her new home by retreating into a world that exists only in her mind. Here, fireflies have names, bog-men awaken at dusk, and squirrels talk. And the heads of her four dolls - Mystique, Baby Blonde, Glitter Gal, and Sateen Lips - long since separated from their bodies, keep her company.

This is the guy who directed Brazil and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas….yes it’s weird…no it is not by an means his first film.
It is a really well done film. Though I can’t even remember the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it though.
Oh, and it has Jeff Bridges in it.

The retail DVD rip had a screwed up aspect ratio (it’s in the source); is the HDRip any better?

I love terry gilliam’s films but i hated this movie.
You can tell its trying to be edgy and disturbing, but it just sits there and goes NOWHERE.
I watched this movie a few weeks ago on HDNET (N.American HDTV channel); and if you are high on some sort of drug this movie will mess with you if you are sober you might get annoyed by the bad acting and oddness of it.
The little girl putting makeup and costume on her fathers slowly decomposing corpse is quite unsettling and causes you to ask “i wonder if she realizes that he is dead and is just in denial?”; and then you come to the realization that this movie is just plain f*cked up.
Personally i don’t think the 6.5GB is worth it from a time or bandwidth standpoint unless you happen to have REALLY good speeds on bitorrent, but if you can catch it on TV i would say that if you are in an altered state of mind it might be worth it.
Other Thoughts: Movies that require you to be in an altered state of mind to enjoy them always walk that fine line of being terribly annoying vs. brilliantly insane.

These are good for movie but really mess up if someone suck into it . Only recommended for open minded person (cuz it’s just way out there o_O compare to regular movie u see), and prefer they are old enough (and no 12 or 16 yrs old kidz plz).
This fantasy drama movie is about a poor young little girl who lost her parents in one form or another and is left by herself with no one to take care of her through out the whole movie, suffering from delusions, physcological disorientation, and mental degradation.
for those who said this film is messed up, try watching it while on drugs
Saw this movie while travelling in Angon, France last summer (2006). It was one of 2 movies that were playing in English, but I didn’t want to see the other one. Short story even shorter, I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of that theatre! If the person I was with didn’t partially enjoy it I’d have been out of there within the first 20 minutes!
To sick, to messed up to watch ,pointlessly confusing and heavy
