This Film Is Not Yet Rated LIMITED DVDRip XviD-DMT

A very interesting film is online: This Film Is Not Yet Rated. It’s a documentary by Kirby Dick about the American movie ratings board. Once here on RLSlog there are many film fanatics, I think they would like to see how the movies get rated and you will see many famous actors getting interviewed. The DVDrip comes with a good 544×304 Xvid quality and Mp3 audio. Enjoy!

Edit (after seeing the movie): I have two words for this, Great Documentary! This film gives us the truth behind the MPAA (Movie Picture Association of America) ratings.

IFC Original Documentary This Film Is Not Yet Rated, the breakthrough film from Oscar-nominated director Kirby Dick (Twist of Faith) is an unprecedented investigation into the MPAA film ratings system and its profound impact on American culture.

The MPAA, a lobbying organization for the movie industry, maintains a ratings system first implemented in 1968 by longtime president Jack Valenti. This system, with its age based content classification using letter grades G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17 (formerly X), has become a cultural icon. But behind its simple facade is a censoring process kept entirely secret. Board members are anonymous; deliberations are private; standards are seemingly arbitrary. Thus, the trade organization for the largest media corporations in America also keeps a trademarked lock on content regulation over our most unique and popular art form.

This Film Is Not Yet Rated asks whether Hollywood movies and independent films are rated equally for comparable content; whether sexual content in gay-themed movies are given harsher ratings penalties than their heterosexual counterparts; whether it makes sense that extreme violence is given an R rating while sexuality is banished to the cutting room floor; whether Hollywood studios receive detailed directions as to how to change an NC-17 film into an R while independent film producers are left guessing; and finally, whether keeping the raters and the rating process secret leave the MPAA entirely unaccountable for its decisions.

my cock is not yet hard.

this movie looks great. takes a look at the jackasses that are controlling how many “thrusts” one can allow in a sex scene. assholes that are forcing directors to cut up their movies to get a PG13.

Why movies from isohunt download on speed over 150 kbs while movies from NTi tracker never more then 40kbs?

  10. January 11th, 2007 | 11:42

Download speed depends on how much seed there are. And on the upload speed of the seeders.

The Isohunt is (one of) the first torrents of this movie. So everyone is downloading with that torrent = more people = more speed.

lol Scit i know how it works but thanks , but i was talking in general sort of thing , even tho NTi shows like 500 seeds and isohunt shows say 200 seeds , still speed on isohunt is always much greater the NTi.

  12. January 11th, 2007 | 11:49

hehe, if you look at the download link. you see that this torrent contains multiple trackers. And more then 200 seeds…

I’ve noticed that download speeds vary a lot too. If I download from piratebay mininova or demonoid the speeds tend to fluctuate between 15-700 Kb. but when i download music off filemp3 I always max out the net at 1.5 Mbyte/s. Always. But I guess its cause they always have a few base seeders with 100 Mbit lines. I wish all trackers were like that.

Do the words ‘confirmation bias’ mean anything to y’all?

    Nah, didn’t think so…

  22. January 11th, 2007 | 15:29

Confirmation bias is a phenomenon wherein decision makers have been shown to actively seek out and assign more weight to evidence that confirms their hypothesis, and ignore or underweigh evidence that could disconfirm their hypothesis. As such, it can be thought of as a form of selection bias in collecting evidence.

    why you ask?

the ratings board tried to prevent this movie from being released in theaters and did a good job at it. originally, because they didn’t like the content, they gave the movie an NC-17 rating, meaning that most theaters wouldn’t even look at.

just check out the ratings at the bottom at IMDB, other countries have also objected to the ratings boards in general being questioned.

although currently in the USA, the FCC is also under fire for over-stepping it’s boundaries, by playing favors to monopoly corporations, while not providing clear guidelines as to what is objectionable and exactly who the complaints are from.

  26. January 11th, 2007 | 19:51

this movie has not lead actress, no actors at all. its a documentairy
