This is becoming pretty crazy for me right about now. So many big titles are being released in DVDRip today, hopefully everyone is happy. Here is the second DiAMOND rls for today which is awesome. This one stars the very sexy Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro who I remember especially well from the film Snatch. Mark Kermodes review of this film on the culture show was that its an average film, but IMDB ratings are very good and RT percentage is decent so I’d say its worth a watch. Enjoy!

    You are so right on that one. These guys seriously own. Not only for the quality, but for being able to release all the biggest blockbuster movies, and always the UNRATED etc versions of the aforementioned films. GO.

    The reason I dont like rapidshare is the fact that you have to wait 2 Minutes before each of many downloads. I dont have the time to wait 2 minutes here or there. Am I missing something. With a torrent load her up, and done in 2 hours. I must be missing something, or bumped my head so hard I turned back nto a newb..

    get a premium acct and you’ll see what you’ve been missing…
    independence from other users, great speeds 100% of the time, and widespread availability (even of old movies… i downloaded mo’ money today…) my premium expired, so i use my megashares link card when i can find MS links.

    Does anyone know how DREAMLIGHT fits a DVDR into 2.something GB? It was the same way with Sweeney Todd, and I can’t remember but am almost positive that it was the same case there also. Is quality compromised? Would I get better quality if I do the whole AVI>ConvertXtoDVD>Nero process?

    I always fit 2 avi on one dvd. With Sweeny Todd I used convert DVD X and it came out perfect on one DVD.

    Yes yes i know you can fit two AVIs on one DVD- I used to do it that way, but quality is definitely compromised. When you only convert one AVI to DVD5 size, the result is damn close to if not more than 4GB.

    Also, if you distribute the resulting DVDs to others (not saying that I do…), chances are people aren’t always going to want both of the movies that you chose to convert to one DVD5. If someone wants two movies that you have, and you chose to put them on different DVDs, you have to burn two anyway. It just works easier for me to put each AVI onto one dvd (even though I have already run out of HDD space more than once).

    Sidenote- If the filename is correct for the megashares link in comment 5, dl-twlitf.img, it’s actually a dupe. On orlydb, Things.We.Lost.in.the.Fire.DVDR-Replica was just posted a minute ago.     Do not download the megashares DVDR in 5!!! It’s not the DVDRIP!!

    Seriously though, is quality compromised in DREAMLiGHT releases?

    To state the obvious…Compression IS compromise. If you take an uncompressed music file and make an mp3 out of it, you can never get back what has been removed in the compromise. It’s the same for video, only it’s glaringly obvious to the eyes (almost as much as to the ears).

    If you’re asking what I think you’re asking, then the closer the end file is to the original is going to be the best, but only for one irrelevant reason. Making an ~1.4gb file into an ~2gb file is better than into a 4+gb file as the additional space can be used for more data. Otherwise they would be basically the same thing, quality-wise I mean, since they both come from the same source and the lost or compromised data cannot be replaced.

    Sorry if this isn’t helpful, or accurate according to others.

    Great release, but whats up with Diamond these days, why only 1 CD ?

    In the past they used to release their movies as 2 CD’s for better picture and of course for AC3 audio, but lately they released lot’s of 1CD rips :(
