The Last Remnant-RELOADED
I didn’t see this one pre, this was released a few hours ago by the well known and respected scene group RELOADED. The Last Remnan is a role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix. The game is directed at both Japanese and Western audiences.
In ancient times, mysterious artifacts referred to as Remnants were discovered all over the world. People used these objects for their awesome powers — a choice that eventually began to cause a rift in the world’s balance. Equality was replaced by those who ruled and those who were ruled over. War was inevitable. A thousand years later is when this story begins… Rush lives with his sister Irina on secluded Eulam Island, far from the power struggles for Remnants that are occurring back on the mainland. From what I've heard it had problems with the frame rate on the 360, well its defiantly fixed in the PC version. I'm running it now at all max and theres no slow downs or anything (8800GT)
this game blows on the 360, cuz the 360 blows and isn't powerful or capable enough to run this engine fluidly. this is tempting, but I might wait for the PS3 release.
this was just a failed d**ksuck by microsoft, used to try to bolster x360 sales in japan.
I can understand why people get a 360, I mean most people who spend 20 hrs + on the internet, are jobless bums, who can't afford 100+ quid every other month for 2-3 games, so they just download, I can understand that..
but lets face it, there's no other reason to buy one. all the so called "tons more games" on the 360, pale in comparison to PCs and PS3s. and if 360 gets a driving game, that'll beat Gran Turismo, a action game, better then God of War 3, MGS 4, or a FPS, better then Killzone 2 there's a very high chance both consoles will get it, lol..
seriously, there's no exsclusive 360 games worth buying, Halo 3, I mean sheesh, cmon, Halo 1 died before it was even released, a game called half life, deus ex, games like that were the cause of halo's stillbirth.
Mass Effect, Gears of War, good games, but better on PC, and I was thoroughly underwhelmed and dissapointed by Gears 2. it was over before it started, and it never actually started, never introduced you, pushed u into the story and the world, it just threw u onto a map with a chaingun and 200 enemies.

It was basically frame drop and textures taking too long to load. But I guess that's because they used the Unreal 3 engine un-optimized. I'm glad to hear it's better on the PC. Will d/l as soon as it's on a tracker.

This game looks really great, just the thing to expect from a Square-Enix game. But what bothers me alot after playing this game for 1,5 hours, is that the controls(especially battle system) are X-box360 based….so everytime you have to do something in a battle it's being referred to a button on the controller while I am having a bloody keyboard in front of me nose…very annoying.

Been playing game for the last few days, it's ok. Gameplay is a bit repetitive, but what RPG isn't, decent graphics, generic storyline and big world to explore… it installed just fine.

definatly the worst game ive played , its really bad .
I can find nothing wrong with it I burned DVD 1 to a DVD +R DL disc and DVD 2 to a DVD -R disc and it installed fine. It prompts you to insert DVD 2 when installation needs to continue then after install is finished simply copy the TLR.exe file in the crack folder on DVD 1 to C:\Program Files\SquareEnix\The Last Remnant\Binaries AND you should be good to go. Also I have a XboX 360 controller that connects to the USB port on my PC and with that the game plays perfectly. To you keyboard and mouse fans out there the fact is IMHO a Dual Analog Gamepad like the XboX 360 or the PS3 controllers kick a keyboards and mouse pathetic candyass when it comes to control because there is NO WAY IN HELL that W A S D or arrow keys along with spacebar or mouse can offer the same precise control that dual analog joysticks can. Who the hell wants to play a Quality racing game like Gran Turismo 5, GTA IV, Killzone, God Of War 3, Madden NFL football, etc with a freaking keyboard??? I rest my case. I HATE ALMOST ALL FPS games so I could care less about control of those types of Games with Diual Analog vs Keyboard and mouse as control but IF I did play those kind of games Id still want the Dual Analog gamepad controller.

With an xbox360 pad you have to push "start" then "back" I don't know how to do it with a keyboard (you have to pause the game during the cinematic then two options will show up continue & pass).
Does anyone having repeated graphic crashes even with all option on low with vista?

For anyone complaining about which control scheme shows up in battle this can be changed in the options menu before you load your previous save.
Helps a lot also has support for ps2 style gamepads and button pop-ups. Don't know if someone has pointed this out already or not but there yah go

For those curious about the game play, it is identical to Final Fantasy XII. I own FFXII, and have played TLR on the 360.

this game takes advantage of a quad core cpu, a lower clocked quad will run it better than a overclocked dual.
you're all idiots. the gameplay is nothing like FFXII, or Vagrant Story (which someone mentioned earlier).
if it's like ANYTHING (which it really isn't), it would be SaGa Frontier 1 but you control multiple parties of five, not just one. Techs are learned a similar way and have similar naming schemes, and stats are gained the exact same way. The world is extremely open after the first hour and a half or so. Fight difficulty can be extremely random going from one battle to another.
Being that SaGa Frontier is my favorite RPG, I like this one very much. The only gripe I have (aside from graphic stability that everyone experiences) is that you cannot input commands to single units, only general commands to a whole party (called a union in this game). The system MOSTLY works; but in a style of game built around freedom of choice, this decision to use this kind of system is.. disappointing and doesn't really make sense at all.

Playing this game always makes my processor scream. Fan speeds up to like 6000 RPM. Lol.
The battle system is cool, but it really is just a redressed Final Fantasy fight. There are a bunch of "position" based things but there really is only so much strategy that can take place. It certainly isn't ETW or anything like that, but you do tend to want certain units to tank, certain units to flank, et cetera. Kind of an expanded version of reordering your party and putting them in certain rows. Once you fill out formations it can get a little more technical, but not by much. Besides that, you're really just hitting "Fight" or "Magic" and making a semi-random/semi-positional/semi-luck/semi-whoknows based attack or spell cast.
My game gets stuck on the loading screen before the city of athlum. it keeps showing the loading screen and nothing happens. what should I do? any ideas?

This game is a total waste of time !
Consider it a bad movie, with some participation.
Sure the graphics are nice but, there is actually nothing to
