The Witcher Enhanced Edition-SKIDROW

Group SKIDROW which usually focuses on low budget games for kids released an Enhanced Edition of the big RPG hit The Witcher. This new version includes improved graphics, enhanced dialogs, additional items, reduced loading times and so on. The only drawback i see is the size: close to 10 gigabytes. Also, this very same title has been released yesterday by group TDM, but this is the official scene version and it’s also smaller. Visit our original post for more game info.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition is the ultimate version of the ultimate role-playing game. The Witcher, which was released in October 2007, has won more than 90 awards and has sold more than 800,000 copies worldwide, and The Witcher: Enhanced Edition brings the game even closer to perfection with a number of technical and visual improvements jammed into the value-packed retail box. The enhancements introduced in this version include more than 5000 lines of re-written and re-recorded dialogue, more than 200 new dialogue animations, a new character differentiation system for NPCs, an enhanced inventory with improved alchemy, reduced loading times, improved combat responsiveness and much more.

Most likely the reason it is smaller than the first rls would be because it’s prolly english only.

I’m gonna wait and see if this rls works. Last I heard, when The Whitcher first came out, is that SolidShield protection was uncrackable…which explains why there was never a cracked release of the original. The only release was from PLATiN and you had to use Daemon Pro to emu.

If Skidrow managed to crack SolidShield…hat’s off, well done!!

It is still better to download only patch to enhanced version, or not?
Classic + patch to enhanced is less GB than enhanced alone.
Patch to blood version is available too.

TDM version uses STARFORCE while SKIDROW version uses Solidshield…- I guess that the crack from skidrow WILL NOT WORK on TDM version…

1) Start game
2) Click top choice “3anyck npbi”
3) Click “Da”
4) Click “Hactponkn”
5) Move top slider “Tekct” to left end to
change Subtitles (text) language to English
6) Move next slider “3byk” to left end
to change Voice-overs language to English
7) Click bottom right button named “Tpnhrtb”
to apply changes

Click start>>run, type in regedit, hit enter and browse to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>software>>CD Projekt Red. Now, click on the witcher folder and in the field on the right you’ll see some registry strings:

Change the “Language” string that currently has a value of 14 to a value of 09 for English.
Hit OK once you’re finished, close out the registry editor and enjoy the splash screen in English

by the way, this is to the people who’s not testing the cracks. there are two patched witcher.exe files, one, whose still hold the original cdprojeckt stamp, and that according to virustotal has only one suspicious entry on it. and the other one who has no stamp ( you can check in the DETAILS tab, under the properties of the file ) which has this results…

Here’s what I’ve been able to find out about censored versus uncensored for the Witcher EE:

1. The US version was unintentionally shipped without blood effects. I quote from the Witcher forums: “Unfortunately in our efforts to make The Witcher: Enhanced Edition as awesome as possible, we made a little mistake… the North American version of the game shipped without a little file that enabled some additional blood effects. We’ve remedied that situation with the Blood Revival patch…” This post and links to that patch are available here:

If anyone has gotten this SKIDROW version working, I ask you: are the blood effects missing? If not, then that may indicate that this is the uncensored UK version.

2. The US version has censored “sex cards”, a censored dryad model and a censored alps model. There is an unresolved debate about whether or not two finishing moves are censored. There is a thread on the Witcher boards discussing a 12mb patch that uncensors the sex cards and the models (and restores the blood effects) but he requires that you send him an email after which he sends you a link to the file. I’m surprised to not see a torrent of this yet – possibly another indicator that the SKIDROW version is the uncensored UK version.

Only TWEE_Upgrade needs to be extracted, in order to add cracked setup.inx.

Language pack executable just needs to be put to Disc1 folder (see 118) of extracted TWEE_Upgrade. It is not supposed to be extracted at all.

Both TWEE_Upgrade and language packs can be found on official Witcher site.

Download the official TWEE_English_language_pack.exe and TWEE_Upgrade.exe.
Download the installfix.
Open the cmd prompt. Do this at the command prompt change to the directory and run:
TWEE_Upgrade /extract_all:D:\TWEE_Upgrade
Wait for the extraction to complete.
Copy TWEE_English_language_pack.exe to D:\TWEE_Upgrade\disk1
Copy the setup.inx from installfix to D:\TWEE_Upgrade\disk1
Run setup.exe and wait for about 1/2 hour.

heres some info about the nude unless you had the euversion to start with patching the game will not add it there is a mod I found some where “can’t remeber I googled it” also anyone who owns the original game changing to the enhanced edition is free, patching requires a registration check which could be the cause of game crashes I own the original so had no problems, do not patch with the offical patches as they will require registration, figure your best bet is to do a fresh install with new version

ok, this release works, crack is fixed for witcher.exe, but not for the djinni.exe (editor) maybe SKIDROW can fix this, because it’s the same protection with the witcher.exe, i really wanna make new maps and quests,

Yeah whats is up with the skidrow install asking for “bonus disk” after installing Disc 1? The 2nd disc doesnt appear to work! Any help is appreciated. I tried deselecting all lang except Eng and deselected bonus missions/editor and it STILL doesnt accept the 2nd image as the “bonus” disc.

if you patch your game you dont have to use any crack it works without cd check.also it becames the same version like full dvd version so 128. is lying.

Fail, you still need the crack for the game the update does not even work for EE at least not for me it does nothing. Why did they bother taking the copy protection out of the older version but keep it in the new one even though its the same game with the same content (after patching) makes no sense to me.

oops nevermind..turns out there were two different version of “disc 2″ as well as the first disc and I had downloaded the wrong Disc 1. Seems you have to have the correct disc pair for it to work as there are multiple versions floating around on usenet.

The SKIDROW release, which this thread should be EXCLUSIVELY about (-.-), works PERFECTLY.. all u gotta do is MOUNT, INSTALL, COPY CRACK FROM DVD1.. DONE! No update applying.. nothing! Since it’s the latest version. It’s the EU, multilanguage and “uncensored” version.. and I didn’t habe to go to weird polish menues and change language settings. When I opened the game it was in English.. But I did a custom install anyway, since all the additional language files consume lots of HD space.. Too bad there’s no crack for the Djini Adventure Editor yet (Djini!.exe).. Should have the same protection as the game exe.

@105 Peter: That was the best solution mentioned here! The Skidrow crack simply doesn’t work for me… dunno why but it may be due to I had the Platin release installed proir. (too lazy to search through the registry to delete those keys) At any rate this works great and I am going to torrent the extracted files and english language pack with instructions for others who may have had problems as well. At least this works with no cracks… until a good one comes along. C’mon RELOADED!

For those holding off on buying the censored US version because of the censorship, there is another way: you can uncensor everything by downloading the two patches here:

Boyz, unless you pay your ISP on a by-dataload basis, just dl this and copy the crack. Yes, there are other methods, language settings and packs, extracting, fixing, cracking and all that frigging stuff.
But you could spare the 2+2 hours downloading patches and figuring how they work and yelling swearing words, just by lazily leaving your PC online for about 10 hours.
