BTW, I like King Crimson and I also like The Who. Which band was better? It just depends on the mood of the day, ya know? I have had the chance to see both bands recently….The Who are now a better studio band than a live performance band, but not bad at all…..King Crimson just plain sucked. Back when both were primed, The Who was clearly better in concert. But they both did their own thing very well, IMO. So lets fight nice children, or your precious keyboards will be taken away.

They are responsible for inspiring thousands of complete tossers, who would otherwise be propping up front bars of pubs around the world (boring the ears off other complete tossers), to play 500 notes when 1 would have done. And to bloat songs out to 10 times the necessary length in the belief that more is somehow profound.

They are the musical equivalent of a nagging back fence gossip who just goes on and on and on in the delusional belief that what they are saying is worth repeating ad nauseam. The kindest thing that can be said about them is that, in certain circumstances, they are a very effective replacement for sleeping medication (and completely non-addictive too!).

Well Julia going by your own link above there your King Crimson album is at #31 and My Band Pink Floyd’s album DSOTM is at #1 and if you want more proof then I will also mention Piper At The Gates of Dawn (with Syd Barrett), Saucerful of Secrets, Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother, Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, and a song called COMFORTABLY NUMB (the live version from the Pink Floyd PULSE CD or DVD with the final guitar solo from HELL or my most recent version of it from the “David Gilmour Live in Gdansk” 5 Disc CD-DVD Box set available on September 23 for more info check out: http://DavidGilmour.com

Led Zep I & II is the closest competition, the rest you mentioned is a big joke. Shame you didn’t include ‘Herman’s hermits’ lol of ‘Mrs Brown you’ve got a lovely daughter’ fame..haha

In the Court of the Crimson King is a classic album, you guys must be nuts to deny the fact!
