NODLABS brings us this very interesting looking movie called The Wave, based on the book by Morton Rhue. It is about a high school teacher who attempts to demonstrate to his students what it’s like to live under a dictatorship, and his experiment spins horribly out of control.
When Rainer Wegner, a popular high school teacher, finds himself relegated to teaching autocracy as part of the schools project week, hes less than enthusiastic. So are his students, who greet the prospect of studying fascism yet again with apathetic grumbling: The Nazis sucked. We get it. Well this is based on a book by an American which pretty much everybody in school here in Germany reads. This movie is far superior to the one from the 80's. This was in theaters about a year ago. I wonder if this is in English or German. If it's original audio I might just get it, but I hate dubbed films!

To any staff willing to listen…
we have a serious problem on this site and I am really hoping someone there will address it soon. I am talking about the way we are being bombarded with child porn …phishing..bad links…Even if it's just a short post saying we know and we will fix it or we would like your ideas how to fix it etc.etc.
I know I am not the only one who belongs to private sites but still use this site for the majority. I actually used this and new torrents exclusively until about 3 months ago and I got that site because we had a wave before of this junk ..but somehow this seems far worse now…than i can remember it being in the past. I remember a time when i could go to the comments and just automaticaally hit the first links i came across for r.s. links or piratebay or screenshots… i dont trust going to any any any of them now. not even when you scroll down to find confirmations that links are legit because now they are faking those comments to make the links they put up snag that many more people..
I mean it I regret to say that the security compromises on this site have gotten so bad that i will not be coming too this site anymore ..period. until and unless something changes….please please save this site for all of us …there is nothing else like our site here…it is unique and we all know it ..but that doesn't mean that it will survive no matter what– like i said i feel like i have lost a kid or a lover now ….( figure of speech I have both)
please staff of rlslog do something to tell me you have a plan and will fix what you can.

@31 – If you went on the forums, you would be very aware that the staff know about problems like phiishing, and also more importantly, the child porn.
They are looking at it, but there is only so much they can do. I doubt you'll find anywhere that isnt affected by the blight of phishing now…
Bring it to peoples attention so less aware people aren't fooled – and if you have ideas, post them in the forums…

You better try a proper browser with proper settings. Protect yourself – because Sh!theads will throw their stuff at us regardless of what we think or say.
I use Opera – with Javascript, Flash, etc. set OFF.
IF a specific site needs any of these features AND I trust the site, then I enable them FOR THAT SITE ONLY – veeery easy w Opera ([F12] or right-click).
I also use Firefox with less restrictive settings, but use Firefox only for known sites. And I have Proxomitron installed (which automatically blocks a number of ads etc.).
(PROXOMITRON is a locally installed html-Proxy that processes the html/xml and defuses some of the javascript functions. It is similar to Privoxy)
My webbrowsers are set up to load the webpages from localhost 127.0.0.1, and get them served by Proxomitron. Only Proxomitron accesses the web).
And always check the actual URL string (gets shown in the statusbar while hovering over it w/the mousepointer) before clicking on a link.

All the mods have to do is delete the postings/links as soon as they are
identified as rubbish. Almost every posting is full of multiple comments on dodgy links. Are the mods to damn $tupid to know how to delete a posting? Or is it that time is only spent on new advertising revenue ideas?
When they do delete one they forget to delete the comments about it or at least leave a place holder saying comment deleted, which only adds to the confusion as to which posts are good and which are not. Again how $tupid are these guys?
The answer is obvious, you give multiple trusted 'registered' forum regulars the ability to delete postings and links under sensible guidelines. Or give them the ability to flag postings as krap.
Conversely you also should give multiple trusted regulars the ability to flag a post as confirmed OK, just a colour change or star or something will do the job.
A two tier system anyone can post & registered users can delete and flag postings as good or dodgy.
Now being as the mods & Admins here are so ret@rded maybe I can wipe someone's ar$e for them while I am here?
