A superb Asian action movie The Warlords was released by popular group BiEN. This war movie starring Jet Li in the main role collects very positive feedback and reviews all around the world and it currently holds 7.8 points at IMDB. The original name is “Tau ming chong” and this release has Mandarin audio, but there are English subtitles included (srt) of course. Very impressive movie, I highly recommend it.

Three blood brothers find their oath tested by battle and personal rivalry in “The Warlords,” a meaty drama of friendship, ambition and betrayal set during a bloody civil war in 19th-century China. Laden with gritty action, but with an emotional undertow that carries the drama even through its weaker moments, pic reps a strong comeback by Hong Kong helmer-producer Peter Chan after his wobbly musical “Perhaps Love” and provides Jet Li with a satisfying non-chopsocky showcase.

    The movie was great; the action scenes were astounding. Kind of long, this was the only problem. Good turn by Jet Li as a good guy turned bad.

    I watched the The.Warlords.2007.CN.DVDRip.XviD-PMCG awhile ago, but it had hardcoded chinese subs, does this one have that too. If not i’ll pick this up. Thought this was a great movie.:)

    Audio is Mandarin of course as it was filmed in China. It has more history in it than a typical Jet Li’s martial art movie. It is a more serious production about the corruption, backstabbing of those in power, differences in the three blood brothers and Jet Li’s own agenda. Andy Lau is just as famous as Jet Li in Asia and he is a successful singer also but not as well known in the States. I would call it more like a war epic than a martial art movie. If you like this one, give Assembly or Tae Guk Gi a try too.

    quality for was “OK” but not great and the audio was a little out of sync (there was a PROPER but can’t verify the quality)

    All Chinese movies (Mandarin language) have hardcoded Chinese subs included. The.Warlords.2007.CN.DVDRip.XviD-PMCG is without hardcoded English subs (they are in a separate file). You will find this release as a torrent.

    BTW if the language is Cantonese, there are no subs coded, but genre is the mainly Kung Fu linke Jackie Chan, Jet Li, etc. All based on the same fight_fight_principle.

    With that program, as with all other “fast and easy subtitle burning” programs, to see the subtitles you have to activate them through your remote control or make sure you tick “view subtitles” or something on your media player to see them. That isn’t hard-subbing. That’s merely incorporating subs into the AVI container.

    The only way to hardsub is to completely re-encode the video stream with the subtitle stream. There are lots of good tutorials out there on how to do this and what programs (lots of freeware for this process) are available. Here’s just a couple that use different progs to get the same results: http://www.divxland.org/permanentsubtitling.php and http://forum.videohelp.com/topic153058.html. There are also lots of other if you google the topic. Good luck!

    Mandarin sounds nicer than cantonese. Atleast, after seeing 100 odd HK movies, I can vouch for that :D

    I hate it when they do that ouwaaaaa kinda accent in cantonese

    It’s not the DVD player that’s at issue. It’s the older model and full screen TV sets that won’t show the subs properly. Hard subbing makes it possible.

    Even if we had adrive/yastorage direct download links it would still take forever!!!!

    Adrive and Yastorage seem to be slow these days giving an average speed of about 40Kb/s

    Jet Li was originally from mainland China and so his native tongue is Mandarin. He is one of very few that have real-life martial art training, unlike David Carradine whose scenes were all staged. As for all the crazy flying around…well, they laugh at us for the Star War movies and the Trekkies too. :)

    if you have a dynamic IP adress you could just restart your router and continue downloading, bypassing the two hour limit but you need to use a download accelerator like FlashGet.

    But megashares speeds have gone way down….it used to be around 250kbps for free users….now it’s like 80kbps.

    BS.Player is the best to view .srt, .sub subtitles. No crappy looking titles like with many others. Easy to change the font size, position on the screen or timing corrections on the fly if needed.

    Ok. Is there by any chance a sub file for this that is made up just for the combined movie. I joined it then realized after that the sub files are made for the two parts. I deleted the two separate parts also O.o Any help with this would be good. Thanks.

    To avoid clicking ten times on FlyUpload:
    1. Scroll down and hit Download
    2. In the next page’s address bar it will end in MTA%3D
    3. Change it to MA%3D%3D leaving the rest of the address same and hit enter

    AMAZING MOVIE. But a friendly warning, while it has amazing action scenes, it’s more of a character study drama than an action movie. But it’s one brilliant cinematic experience.

    Add the 2 files, select both, press generate data, start, name it, save. Takes a few seconds and makes perfect standalone compatible files. It even repairs bad files. The program from this link (found on rlslog) is already set right, if you have it from another source check the avi settings first to ensure standalone compatibility.
