A pleasant surprise from fairly popular scene group ARROW appeared tonight on the scene: dvdrip of awesome drama The Visitor, released just a few hours after the screener of the same movie. The screener from NEPTUNE was nuked for no IVTC, and this release was nuked as well (bad IVTC, dupe frames), but it’s watchable. The retail DVD is scheduled to October 7 so you get this piece with a decent time advantage. Awarded by 5 film prizes, this is a must see for all drama lovers. Classic 1 CD rip with English subtitles.

Sixty-two-year-old Walter Vale (Jenkins) is sleepwalking through his life. Having lost his passion for teaching and writing, he fills the void by unsuccessfully trying to learn to play classical piano. When his college sends him to Manhattan to attend a conference, Walter is surprised to find a young couple has taken up residence in his apartment. Victims of a real estate scam, Tarek (Haaz Sleiman), a Syrian man, and Zainab (Danai Gurira), his Senegalese girlfriend, have nowhere else to go. In the first of a series of tests of the heart, Walter reluctantly allows the couple to stay with him. Touched by his kindness, Tarek, a talented musician, insists on teaching the aging academic to play the African drum. The instrument’s exuberant rhythms revitalize Walter’s faltering spirit and open his eyes to a vibrant world of local jazz clubs and Central Park drum circles. As the friendship between the two men deepens, the differences in culture, age and temperament fall away.

    Not much story/action, this is about the lives of 2 completely different people breaking down the barriers and becoming great friends. It is about the love for music that they both share. Then when an unfortunate event happens it is about how they deal with it.

    The film is NOT for everyone, so watch the trailer first. It is very well acted and the music is great. For these reasons I give it an 8/10.

    What the hell is so hard about releasing a DVDRip and following scene rules?? I mean, these guys have been doing this awhile now and still constantly see nukes for bad ivtc, dupe frames, bad ar etc etc…I mean, I’ve read the TDX and it’s not that complicated. I think my 10 year-old sister could rip a dvd better than most of these groups. Laughable.

    nice movie with a good cast and a touching story about 2 very different people who overcome the barriers and become friends.

    but the genre: Comedy/Drama is not correct. this is a drama with almost no comedic relief

    so dont expect to laugh

    @54 why should rlslog keep you updated? different sites have different rules, so some sites might nuke a rlse while others won’t. only a couple of nukes are scenebased…..just check out a couple of rlse-sites and you’ll know whether it’s worth the dl or not……if you only know releaselog, think out of the box
