its only a matter of time: the earths been in existence for billions of years now but in the few thousand years we've been here it will be destroyed! How presumptive is that.
If youre a stupid stoner like me then you can compare earth to a car. You own your car since it was new put hundreds of thousands of miles on it and take it out multiples times a day. Our entire existence on earth can be compared to one short car ride to the grocery store in the entire life of the car. Predicting when (or if) an asteroid will hit would take a millions times more precision then picking on what trip your car will break down on. Stupid analogy i know but it kinda works.
