The Universe S01E10 WS DSR XviD-SYS

Each star you see twinkling in the night sky is a luminous sphere of super-heated gas, much larger than any planet, and each has a story to tell. A dramatic birth, life on the edge, and a death that rattles the heavens. The Universe at its most volatile and action-packed: Life and Death of a Star. As usual the animation is very good, quality is standard perfect as with always from SYS.

Life and Death of a Star: Ignited by the power of the atom, burning with light, heat and wrath, stars are anything but peaceful. They collide, devour each other, and explode in enormous supernovas–the biggest explosions in the Universe. Using cutting-edge computer graphics, never-before-seen satellite images, and interviews with the world’s leading astronomers, take a front row seat to the most amazing light show in the cosmos.

Yeah I noticed that glitch, nothing to be alarmed at as the info said during the time-out can be put together a few seconds later anyway.

I can honestly say this is one of the most interesting series I’ve ever watched.

It’s made me re-think about a lot of my morales in life, and think ‘well is it worth even arguing/having this and that opinion on certain things’.

Next step is to buy a telescope!

what i want to know is if we are currently going through a meteor shower, and the meteors are travelling at thousands of miles an hour and burning up in the atmosphere, how comes the space station and shuttle dont get peppered? does anyone know?

Mropinion, there’s a video on NASA’s website about the meteor shower and they explain how they prevent the ISS and stuff to be hit.

The ISS stays “behind” the earth, the comet’s debri falls on one side and the ISS is on the other. Sorry can’t explain better I suck at english xD

Its the video “What’s up for August”.

Great blog BTW! And this show rocks!
