This weekend brought us a lot of nice release. We forgot to inform about this minor limited movie in the whole rush, so here’s the quick post to fix this. “The TV Set” is kind of special comedy, which has many famous names though: David Duchovny, Sigourney Weaver or Ioan Gruffudd are some of them. The story is basically a documentary about making a pilot episode of a new tv show, going from casting to final production. Quality is excellent as in almost every DoNE’s release.
An all-star cast bites the hand that feeds them in The TV Set, a sneaky satire of network programming. As a writer named Mike struggles to shepherd his semi-autobiographical sitcom into development, his vision–of a guy who’s brought back to his home town by his brother’s suicide and rediscovers his joy in life–is slowly eroded by a domineering network executive named Lenny who favors trashy reality programming like Slut Wars. The rub, of course, is that every crass suggestion Lenny makes improves the show’s response from test audiences and brings the show a step closer to getting on the air. Almost everyone in The TV Set has connections to television and so have a keen grasp on the behavior and lingo of the media industry. Sometimes the satire is so close to the naked reality of TV development that it isn’t even funny–but Weaver gives an inspired performance that skirts truth and satire so adroitly it makes your skin tingle.

interesting dvdrip, i have already down it but i dont know when i will watch it, DoNE is a great release group
I like and see a lot of these kinds of movies and saw this one in theaters… it was pretty bad to be honest only watch if you are a big time fan of indy films
well, I actually think I will fancy this one alot more than the releases that pushed this to the end of the schedule

First of all I would like to thank you for this great site. I’ve been watching it for quite a while and find it really useful. I have a one little idea for improvement, though.
I find your personal comments for the release most interesting and it’s often quite difficult to seperate your own text from copied plot descriptions of a movie, game, etc.
Therefore, I think it would be great, if you could make it easier to distinquish your comments from the other text. For example, the quoted text could have inverted commas, it could be printed in italic or something.
Hope you could find my suggestion useful and thank you again for this site.
