posterLittle over 40 minutes ago, this DVDSCR surfaced courtesy of KAMERA. Ever since OPTiC released a SCR copy a few days go, I’ve been checking out this movie and, even though I’m not a big fan of hide-behind-the-sofa films, I might just give this a go. Video bitrate is encouraging, there are property messages throughout but they didn’t disturb me a great deal when I watched a few minutes. DVDRip will be available in about couple of months but you can save yourself the wait today because I have a feeling this is the next best thing and I also like the narration at the beginning…

Narration
What you are about to see is inspired by true events. According to the F.B.I. there are an estimated 1.4 million violent crimes in America each year. On the night of February 11, 2005 Kristen McKay and James Hoyt went to a friend’s wedding reception and then returned to the Hoyt family’s summer home. The brutal events that took place there are still not entirely known.

Plot
 After returning from a wedding reception, a couple staying in an isolated vacation house receive a knock on the door in the mid-hours of the night. What ensues is a violent invasion by three strangers, their faces hidden behind masks. The couple find themselves in a violent struggle, in which they go beyond what either of them thought capable in order to survive.

    looks like good quality
    there was a property of sign at the top
    sound was quite good from the sample

    sample didnt contain any b&w scenes

    bad ivtc means a bad conversion from 29.970 FPS to 23.976 FPS

    dupe frames means that every 10 frames or so there are two duplicate frames (this is because of the ivtc being done wrong)

    missing frames is exactly that, the odd frame missing here and there, again, due to a bad rip and conversion.

    This is defo worth seeing. I watched the vhs screener a couple of nights ago and was pleasantly surprised as to what a good horror movie it was. Plot isn’t too complex lol But there are great moments throughout the movie that keep u glued to the screen.

    Ehm i see now lots of positive comments on movie… but that must be people who like repeating scene where masked person appear in window, and then scared person is walking throu house for 10min with tense music…

    and week plot? it was not existing… And most of actions of bad guys was like “wtf they plan the luck?”
    Effin bad guys appear and dissapear whenever and wherever they want… damn this week movies..
    Liv Tyler must be pretty stupid when she aggred to make this film,
    Come on people all say hurray for smart stars, like Rachel Weisz who read the sript of M3 and say “no!”

    This is absolutely one of the worst horror flicks I’ve seen.

    Love Liv, even though her perfromance is poor in this one. Wouldn’t have given it 20 minute otherwise.

    Story could be okay but the acting is hideous, continuity is a joke, directing is amateur at best, script should line a bird cage. What COULD have been a decent movie, was killed by terrible script, acting and directing.

    I even like most cheesy, B horror movies, but this doesn’t even fit the B movie category.

    Having a good wank is a better use of your time.

    This movie was rubbish.
    Usually if I watch a movie and it’s crap, I’ll move on with my day but really, this movie made me angry due to its inferiority.
    Put it this way, the trailer was scary than any part of the movie, the ending was rushed and pointless and the characters were undeveloped and clumsy.
    If you enjoyed the trailer, you will be curious and but I urge you to leave it there or you will ruin the trailer by seeing the this tripe.
    Sh-it hollywood garbage.
