The Steam Experiment 2009 DVDRip XviD-VoMiT

A decent looking thriller/drama has been released by VoMiT. The movie stars two decent actors Val Kilmer and Eric Roberts in this movie directed by Philippe Martinez. Rating of this are not great, but take a look if you enjoy these kind of movies.  A deranged scientist locks 6 people in a steam room and threatens to turn up the heat if the local paper doesn’t publish his story about global warming. Enjoy the nice release!

Kilmer plays a former university professor who overheats his hostages to prove that humans will devolve into chaos under the pressures of global warming. He tells a detective (Assante) that their location will be revealed if his hypothesis is printed as the local paper’s front-page headline. The six potential victims are a former pro football player (Roberts), a former actress (Brown), a nurse (Muldoon), a waitress (Eve Mauro), a restaurateur (Quinn Duffy) and a writer (Cordelia Reynolds). As temperatures rise, the desperate detainees fight for survival.

Stupid idea for a plot and an ever dumber way to preach this GB crap to the masses. How pathetic. They cannot win on a fair debate (The Global warming nutcases) so this is how they try and force this crap science down your throat? Kilmers best days are behind him as his career went downhill after he played Doc Holiday and in The Doors. Wait a tad and you can buy this at any close out bin in any video store. Not being mean, just factual

^^^^ Agree with common sense. What the heck happened to Val Kilmer? he's such a gifted actor, but in recent years has just appeared in the most crap low budget movies. Who in Hollywood did he piss off? :p

re: Val Kilmer. I do not think his acting ability is any less than we have seen from him in previous movies. I think it is the quality of the movies. Lately there have been very few quality movies. He is not the only big name star, who likes to act and can only find almost B grade movies. Remakes and even remakes of remakes is the norm today. If they come out with another Oceans 11 remake I think I will pass.

Is it really 6 Channels audio on this one, or is it an error ? Normally it's only MP3 Stereo on those 700mb 1CD's

Wondering if his arrogance pissed off a few people, Segall too for that matter. I love his acting though and hate seeing him in dumb movie plots. He should take a more active role in changing some of these titles, plots of his movies, then a B movie can turn into an A or at least a huge cult following. Or maybe he's just burnt out and lost his hunger. Hope he makes a comeback like Downey, even Cruise was awesome as Les Grossman in tropic thunder, he's still got it, I was like Damn that's tom cruise! I didn't even know he was in the movie till I saw it.

god, what are these awful low budget movies doing around the place…just by looking at the poster, you can see its a pile of fresh cow dung…the independent features/ foreign fare seems to be much better than these while we patiently await the more popular releases…sigh…cheers

anyone actually watched it yet? Seems a lot of people bagging it just for the title and the summary. Might be worthwhile watching it and then making comment.
