WSorry this is a little late, it was released about 3 hours ago but i just woke up :) Adapted from the comic , The Spirit is directed by Frank Miller who also wrote 300 and Sin City, enjoy.

Down these mean streets a man must come. A hero born, murdered, and born again. When a Rookie cop named Denny Colt returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus who kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face who has other plans. He’s going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this cold hearted killer from the city’s rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader.

    for any original and unoriginal geeks,

    Spirit's been planned longer than the Dark Knight. Dark Knight only came about becaue of the success of Batman Begins. Spirit's been on the backburner for as long as Watchmen, V for Vendetta. Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America etc were. Nobody wanted to touch it. They weren't sure they could capture Will Eisner's spirit in a film. But someone's taken the chance the way Watchmen has finally been turned into celluloid, and V for Vendetta was.

    Anyone here think they can write as well as Will Eisner did, prove it. Otherwise it's just dweebs talking smack.

    Guys… seriously- go see this in a theatre.

    You won't be disappointed in any way (it's the first movie I've gone to see in theatres since Dark Knight came out on IMAX- that was worth it, too).

    I actually went and I don't regret it. Very visual, stylized, and over-the-top… Just how [most] comic movies should be.

    CAMs are to pirates what the clap is to prostitutes… "Not good, mate!"

    Saw this in a theater and walked out 30 minutes in. Terrible acting, didn't care much for the characters, comedy felt like they tried too hard. In my opinion, don't waste your time.
