    This is the official release that will be in stores June second. I have played this version for a few hours and can confirm the release is legit, not a pre-release beta.

    There have been a handful of reviews so far (only notable one from PC Zone UK or something to that effect), and the game has gone gold, so a leak isn't all that unlikely. There is a good chance the game is already at some stores.

    Maybe it's just me, but if this was a real release (and therefore a real crack), wouldn't we not have to block the game from going online via a firewall? A real crack would remove such a need…

    The Keygen and Crack are in the Crack folder on the DVD. It is the real game, I just installed it. The crackfix is not necessary, that is just some mp3, dont download it.

    Mac people kindly get lost. This is the PC section. You bet on the wrong horse so don't come here crying. This will not work on your Macs. You will have to wait a year or two for a port.

    As for the question if this is real. It is entirely possible since most games go gold about 3 weeks before they hit the shelves. They need the time to duplicate disks and print manuals and boxes and to ship the product.

    @bmb You'll need something like PowerISO or Daemontools to use an iso file, which is what I'm guessing you got with a torrent.

    From the INFO, #5, anybody know what url to block?

    1. Unrar.
    2. Burn or mount the image.
    3. Install the game. Use the keygen in the /Crack dir on the DVD when prompted for a serial.
    4. Copy over the cracked content from the /Crack dir on the DVD to "installdir\Game\Bin".
    5. Play the game. Be sure to have a firewall prevent the launcher and main game from going online.

    ok so I downloaded this and mounted it with daemon… cd looks legit but I cant seems to install it. Clucking auto run does absolutely nothing and clicking setup gives me an error.

    I'm the guy from post 152.

    As for the online verification, are you guys on OS X or Windows? I know that Windows doesn't have any online verification so I'm not sure what you guys are talking about unless you installed the EADM along with it (I'm not sure if that would affect it but I didn't install it and it works for me)

    IF you are on OS X then that's a whole different ballpark. If you're trying to use pirated materials without using proper apps then you shouldn't consider yourselves pirates and should stop while you aren't ahead. Go get Little Snitch and block outgoing connections from The Sims 3.

    Dudes, if you try and register it online it either won't work, or you'll get angry emails from EA saying that you shouldn't be using/distributing the game (or both–either way its bogus).

    Try disconnecting from the internet BEFORE you install, or just ignoring the registration online. It hasn't been necessary for any of their other games, and I doubt you'll really need to do it for this one in order to play.

    I have windows….

    when i click play in the launcher a box appears,

    it tells me

    I had the EA Download Manager installed from long ago,

    should i uninstall then reinstall?

    Yeah I'd recommend uninstalling both The Sims 3 and the EADM and then reinstalling The Sims 3 just to make sure there's no trace of the download manager.

    bmb – I used that registration code to install, but to start the game, it keeps asking me for the code again, saying that one is invalid.

    I assume I'm supposed to put the crack file somewhere at this point, but I'm on a Mac and in over my head.

    You can install this on mac by copying the crack into the .app.

    Its under Contents/transgaming/C: Drive

    Or something similar.

    All those who got the torrent to work for mac or PC can say "Torrent, PC, Works" or "Torrent, Mac, Bogus" or whatever, and if bogus, state your case.

    For everyone who used the pieces of files instead, state the post and the same info, like "111, Mac, works" or whatever–if bogus, state your case.

    This way, we'll know which files work and which ones don't. I can say right now that 127 = dead.

    You know why? Because EA is a money grubbing whore. Look at all thier expansions for sims 2.
    Sims 3 EA are only putting a few items in some/most categories because they plan to release expansions with more items.

    I really hope you guys downloading this will actually go out and buy the game, this is the first EA game in along time that has no securom, no evil DRM, just basic CDKEY protection, basically it comes down to this, we all complained at the invasive protection on games like spore, some of us even used that as an excuse to pirate, EA is testing the waters with this release to see if its smarter business sense for them to release non DRM non internet activation games?

    Please think about that before you download this game, we can send EA one of two messages with this, either that we will buy none drm non invasive protection games or they haveto look at even more draconian ways to try stop the unstopable which in the end only harms legit users.

    So I downloaded it, but when I install it, there's a few million "CRC errors" that look like this:

    "CRC error: The file C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Support\EA Help\Cz\go.jpg doesn't match the file in the setup's .cab file. The medium from which you are running the setup may be corrupted; contact your software vendor."

    It does this if I run the setup from an .iso file as well as directly off of my hard drive. Choosing the "Ignore" option for them all (by holding down the "I" key, there's a lot.) while running them from the hard drive comes up with another lovely error:

    Unhandled Exception
    "Error Number: 0×80040702
    Description: Failed to load DLL: DSETUP

    Setup will now terminate."
    Then it ends the setup.

    Ignoring the fancy messages when running from an .iso file comes up with a prompt asking me to put disk 1 in so it can find some file, which doesn't work, and only gives me one more option, which closes the setup.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    What, you think EA ships out all the disks the night before?

    It just takes one employee who doesn't cherish their job to "borrow" a disk and for it then to find its way onto the scene.

    I downloaded from the rs links posted at #1 and it works for me, no errors whatsoever during install. I mounted the ISO in daemon tools lite and used the keygen in the crack folder. I can't speak for the other links posted but the #1 links are absolutely legit and working. The game itself works perfectly, although I only played about half an hour.

    84, PC, works, but crashes constantly because some clothes don't load. I haven't tried loading a house, but I suspect some objects might cause the game to crash too. I doubt this is an issue only with the image I downloaded. I'd like to know if anyone else has had this problem or if it has to do with texture, object detail settings or something like that.

    I unistalled EA download manager, and reinstalled my Torrent downloaded version…

    when the lacuncher comes up I disconect the internet, and then click PLay but i still get the box saying:

    "Important message from EA

    Internet Conection is required to verify ownership of this game, please connect to the internet and retry"

    on the officail TS3 website it does say under requirements that it requires a one time online activation…

    im downloading from MegaUpload to see if there is another version!

    I've played this for about an hour and already I'm thinking of uninstalling it. What the hell is the appeal of this game? It seems like there's no point and it moves along at a snails pace. It feels like a complete waste of time. Is there ANYTHING fun you can do in this game? The gameplay (if you can even call it that) is incredibly boring and mundane, you just watch the sims eat, sleep, talk annoying gibberish, leave for work, come back, repeat. Even the soundtrack is annoying and keeps repeating the same couple of songs. Nothing interesting ever happens (oh wow the oven broke) and it takes forever to make money. On top of that no matter what traits you give your characters they still act moody and irrational. Its also very glitchy, the camera controls are awful and the graphics are years out of date. I haven't played the original in a long time but I don't remember it being this lousy.

    YES IT WORKS! I downloaded this several hours ago, and have been playing it for over 6 hours now!

    Installed without any problems. It did NOT go to the Internet and ask for any activation (I don't have the EADM on my PC).

    Nothing tricky in the installation…mount, install, keygen, crack, run.

    Maybe the files some of you are getting are from a bad source.

    Now if I just had a cheat to get more money :)

    It's legit folks. Runs great. Get it from a private tracker instead of a public one. You'll have it much quicker. I got it in 30 min. from a private tracker.

    Game is fake I DL for 17 hours an after all that its just sims 2 with a fake added in sims 3 splash screen.

    Installed as: Sims2.exe and when I tried to play it just opens to one splash screen and the gameplay shown is sims 2 but you cant play it.

    All of the people with installation errors, you downloaded a corrupted repack. I can assured you that this release is the full version and fully working. Usually the files with password "areg" are fine, so try those.

    @244 and 245, please stop saying things when you don't know the facts. EA announced a long time ago that for the time being, there would only be ONE neighbourhood, and that others would be available to download once the game had gone live.

    EA have also said that several things have been left out, in order for Expansions, but that what's in the game will keep gamers occupied until they do release an expansion pack. (And I can confirm… I've been playing for three hours now and still getting used to everything). There's HEAPS more to do than there was in the Sims 2, and completely new ways of going about everything. It's quite amazing.

    So, to Demoa in particular, let's try not to spout false truths before actually getting our facts right? Hm?

    No, you are not able to make neighbourhoods. You were never supposed to be able to make neighbourhoods. If you had actually been reading about the game, you'd know this. The deaths can also happen but they are MUCH harder to achieve then in previous game. This has also been established before.

    However, I do believe this may be a preview version with most but not all features included, but I won't claim it for truth.

    Also, it would be swell if people who got the game working ( or didn't manage to install ) would mention which files they downloaded.

    I made a small room with a grill and curtains all over the place and closed a sim inside with no doors. started a fire and blocked anyone from attempting to put it out. The chick was in the middle of roaring flames screaming for hours and i put it on full speed, a bunch of time went by and the fire eventually burned itself out. The girl was fine after like nothing even happened. That is so dumb and fake I hope they didndt get all sensitive about killing sims. Oh well, tonight ill try kidnapping all of the neighborhoods sims and placing like 10 of them in a door-less room and starting another fire and see what happens.

    Just to clear some of the stupidity: it is the full game. It only has Sunset Valley because Riverview is supposed to be a released as a free download on the second of June. Yes, Sims can die and can be killed, as several videos of the game have shown already. Having in mind that ghosts are this edition's supernatural entity, it would make no sense otherwise.

    If you don't like the Sims series you won't like this game. There is not much else to say.

    What I found amusing with Sims 2 was making a Sim just like my wife and then kicking her out. I then got a house full of girlfriends like Mr. Hefner. Then I got my original wife sim to move back in.

    It used to piss off my real life wife when she would walk by the screen and see me with a house filled with girlfriends. When you have been married 17 years it is rather fun to torture her.

    I just found the way to get the thing done.

    1. Go to the Finder -> Application -> The Sims 3 folder
    2. Right Click The Sims 3 icon -> Click "Show Package Contents"
    3. There should be a long long list, Open Content -> Resources -> transgaming -> c_drive -> Program Files -> Electronic Arts -> The Sims 3 -> Games -> Bin folders
    4. Replace the TS3.exe with the one you got elsewhere
    5. Cheers!

    (In case I unplug my network before enter the game, don't know if it matters)

    Are you sure you have enough hard drive space left? After copying over the cracked ts3.exe, use it to launch game instead of the launcher. I did it that way and I didn't need to block internet connection or receive any notice for internet verification.

    This may be a long shot as I havent finished downloading the game myself yet. But are you trying to edit/replace the folder that has been installed on your harddrive (like program files) are you trying to edit those on the disc image? Cause thats not gonna work.

    A reply to post 210 I fixed the missing file. First Extract the ISO then Go to folder "Game/bin/bin/ and create a new folder Da-DK and copy the same missing file out of another one of those folders. They Try to install and it will say "missing File" Just egnore this message and install, copy crack AND ENJOY!!!! I worked this out myself. Thanks!

    The game is not fake.

    Obviously 2 things are happening here, some morons are uploading different parts of different games to their rapidshare accounts and also viruses in order to screw people over.

    second thing. E@ itself might be trying to contain the damage by spreading false files into the system in order to get people discouraged and spreading false statements here that this is fake. You do not have to be a genius to expect and know that this is going to happen here.

    There is only one city to play in.

    The only bug i have so far is when i go to customize people the game will crash on me or fall into error and lock.

    the game itself is ok. the graphics are very much like sims 2, no real improvment, the ui has been tweaked somewhat. I did not play long enough to make final judgment but it does not look that impressive so far, the coolness factor must be buried down deeper in the game but i did not see it as first look, i did not get a "wow" feeling when i opened the game for the first time to be honest…

    did anyone encounter a lockup when they were trying to edit their sims? if so is there a known fix?

    The game does indeed work (with a few bugs though) but I agree there are a lot of "standard" objects and designs missing! For example take a look at how many doors and windows are there, and compare it with the Sims 2 base game.

    Same goes for other objects and object categories as well. Not to mention that you can't make your sim die in a fire.

    No official announcement from EA yet, just feedback from gamers. I will be getting the review code shortly so hopefully I'll be able to verify this.

    We have less objects because the ones we have we can edit them in many ways, with many textures and colors…

    And in the previous Sims we can't do that, so that's why we had more objects in the previous ones.

    This game haven't been NUKED so this is real…

    also, yes this is just a demo.

    There is only 1 town, and you can only play as one family. If you choose to play as another family all your previous familys progrees is lost. No way a complete game would be like that.

    In sims 2 you could pick any family you want and your last one would not be affected.

    alos there are limited amount of objects an you cannot kill sims.

    and you cannot build your own town.

    its not a demo. i have played all day and its ok not great but i'm sure it will with more expansions. it has been known for quite some time thats theres only one town and that you can get another one from a download they will post later. also you have to save and go back to the main menu to load another family. i have 2 different families saved at the moment.

    After 6 hours play its i can confirm

    It is the full game retail
    You can kill people (try straving them)
    You cannot go into shops or bars (there is no interior its all fake the whole town) or just an excuse for addons go figure.
    It is alot harder & deeper than all previous sims
    Ageing of sim can be adjusted upto 900days!
    You can start other familys you just have to move back to main menu.
    99% of objects texture can be edited.
    There is no weather or seasons.
    There is no animals

    There are few bugs somethings brake alot, 3d corruption at the beach etc.

    All in all good game i will buy it 9/10

    How ridiculous. This game works fine for me. I played it for several hours at a time since it hit the net. As far as I can tell it has all the -basic- things you'd expect the first in a Sims series to have. I got stairs to work just fine, roofs work just fine. The only thing I had break was one computer over several hours of gameplay and it took about two seconds to call the repairman to fix. I think they reduced the item count slightly overall because of the color and design customization included. Uh, apparently there's new code that if you start a new family, the old one progresses without you behind the scenes. Also, it's not a bug that it's harder to kill sims they put forth the effort to give them survival instinct and increased durability. I think any problems in the game are mainly due to new game bugs, user system errors, and the same old hardward conflicts. Doesn't seem like any kind of demo though.

    To the person who said you can't build multilevel houses, you are incorrect. And to the person who was having trouble with stairs, make sure autoroof is disabled and delete ALL the roofing tiles first before you start trying to build stairs. The roof itself will prevent stairs from being built. Also make sure no items intersect like lights and set aside plenty of space. I have ingame screenshots if you don't believe me.

    mozakko is 100% right. Don't install the EA download manager, and if you have it install already from another EA game, uninstall it. I've heard about that causing crashes too. Also, if you can I would delete the icon on the desktop, and run the crack directly. Don't even use the launcher.

    I was crashing during the first 10-15 minutes of gameplay too. I tried down playing my graphic settings and updating some drivers through the manufacturer's sites. It was unsuccessful. Through my good friend google, I found this site:

    amd 64 x2 4000 2.1ghz with 2gb 667mhz ddr2 ram (dual core)
    hd 2600 xt (agp 8x)
    Yes this is an "old" system.
    Been playing with default settings.
    Initially crashed minutes into game.
    Fixed by:
    I play in a window by adding -w to the shortcut to ts3.exe.
    Cleaned the inside of the case/videocard etc with a vacuum.
    Installed latest AGP hotfix from ATI/AMD. Installed drivers with ccc since it seems to work better that way and optimized driver settings for performance.
    Game went gold May 13. This was leaked about a week after that date. I am pretty sure this is gold. (gold is what is given to manufacturers then it is put into boxes and called retail I think)

    From reading some comments on the missing clothing store:

    Yes, there is NO clothing store. I even tried to "Edit Town" and there are no clothing stores you can add. There isn't even a clothing rack or none that I could find.

    However, ALL the clothes/accessories are available to your sim from a dresser just use plan outfit then use the plus sign to Add another outfit for your sim so you can have more than one everyday/formal/etc outfit. This will work as long as your sim is not pregnant or in his work uniform.

    second i found a few cheats "Motherlode", and "testingcheatsenabledtrue" put them into the cheat menu by CTrl+Shift+C withouth the "" the testingcheats is like boolprop where you can max the hunger bladder ect to green by just draggin the mouse adn clicking on the bars… and to aging thing go to options and gameplay there you can choose how many days does it take to make a sim old

    To all those who are complaining about the lack of content, try and remember the VAST MAJORITY of content comes from the insane playerbase. If it's not in the game and there's a way for them to mod it in, they will. That's part of Sims culture too. I remember people complaining about Sims 2 when it came out saying it had less content than Sims 1… they were right initially.

    Downloaded the Arsenaly rapidshare links and the game works fine, only thing is the speed control for the game doesn't properly function so you have to wait a LONG time for your sims to sleep/work/etc. So anyone got a solution to that???

    Still want evidence that this is a pre-release/test build?

    Well here it goes.

    1. Empirical evidence. There are far too many obvious and strange bugs, that just don't make sense. The installation of the game doesn't even have any decent pictures, vids, information, sound, music, anything, no packaging at all.

    2. It is unlikely that the gold master DVD's and printing press would not be under watch. It is far more likely that this DVD fell off the wagon to a Sims fan event.

    3. The file structure is whacky. There are many things missing. There is no finalized and presentable structure to the core game.

    4. There are third party developer software files that shouldn't be there, like graphics, audio and code compiler logs and dependency files.

    5. Some of the files are timestamped several months back.

    6. File sizes make no sense. Package and cache sizes are too large, obviously meant to run on evelopers computers.

    7. It has SecuROM. And the wrong version to boot! Duh.

    8. Several announced fan event features are not present. This is par for the course.

    9. Graphics have since changed, or do not appear to be working right. For instance smoothing/antialiasing and filtering are not working as intended.

    10. The version, while labelled 1.0 in some description and help files which is probably what most people have opened, is in redundant files that should have been removed called Content.Devtest.1397 Changelist:622971. No idea what you mean.

    When games are created many different version are compiled tested. This game appears to have been compiled for the SOLE reason of testing content, that is, the textures, objects, sims etc. everything that goes into the game, and as such, it has to be one of the most stable and available tested builds… in other words it's not strange that people think it's the full game. There are just so many bizarre things and obvious bugs and missing features in it, that have long made me suspicious.

    I found this in three seperate descriptors and logs.

    TCC is a third party compiler. It shouldn't be there. No coder with any self respect would label a game devtest 1397. Nor would he put a changelist on it unless they needed one to refer to in order to see what was a bug and what wasn't.

    WorldCompositorCacheSize = 524288000
    SimWorldCompositorCacheSize = 524288000

    This is just wrong. Why are the caches so large? Why are the packages so large? Why are they encrypted in a non-standard format no modders recognize? It doesn't make sense… unless they're developer versions encrypted/coded in a format that they use for their software.

    Chances are, if it's not a beta/test build, this is the version that was going to be released in February.

    Someone said Sims can´t die… My first sim has just died eletrocuted. :(
    He was messing with the TV and got eletrocuted, there was no chance of appealing to Death to return him to life…
    Anyone know a way of resurrecting?

    Hey everyone,
    I downloaded the reloaded game and mounted it…everything installed fine but now I can't play without it saying "You need to be connected to the internet for confirmation of product"…I tried copying the ts3 cracked file to game/bin file and it doesn't "replace" any file I have in there…and then the game won't start at all. It brings me to the start screen but says "The process could not be started" if I hit play. Any idea on how to fix it? I'd appreciate it.

    I'm from hungary and I want to clear some things up… I downloaded it via torrent (in 3 days :S ), and have been playing it since 5 hours now but I haven't noticed anything strange with this release. Working crack, no freezeng, all the options are just working fine, I can build multi-storey houses, etc. So I don't know, why you having these problems, and so much more, but I don't have any…

    i personally dl'd with rapidshare in less than 2 hrs, installed, kgb compressed with self-maded nsis installation (3.12gb) and no prob, works 100%. I'm really sorry for those who dont make it work and also to those pitful ones who posts useless links trying to spreading their trojans/malware/whatever (you know, those stuff wont work here, im very sorry for you).
    Aside this cmnt of mine, Im really concerned because the game itself seems not far distant as the sims 2; not that I want my money back LOL but I was paying for a game like this Ill get pissed about the fairly resemblance to sims 2…

    Okay guys after playing the game for a few hours I can conclude that it definitely is NOT the full release that will be on shelves on June 2nd. Primarily because, it's loaded with problems and is missing a great chunk of memory, also people have said that it is scripted as a 'test' game. My speed buttons malfunction, and even though my sim goes to work for 6+ hours they come back with only 2 hours worth of pay. Also the game just feels hollow and wonky, not the same level of excitement as even the sims 2. I have a feeling this was more of a build to have game sites do a test run, but this is def. not the same game that will be released June 2.

    Hey lolo.. It worked great for me (I'm assuming you mean the MEGAUPLOAD one?) then all you gotta do is open with WinZIP OR WINRAR NOT Unrar! i had same issue!

    I downloaded from 420, and it was great… until the installation. It said something about the thumbnail folder in my program files not matching the one on the disk or something. >_< Whatever, I've just about had it… have tried several downloads and all of them have some problem or another with installation… I'll just be a good girl and wait for my Collector's Edition to come in the mail. -_-

    And I found a secret seed by going to graveyard, and exploring catacombs. do the most dangerous options I came out with 2 magic seeds I dont know what they grow yet.

    you really dont need to buy clothes. if you click on your sim and select plan outfit it will take you to CAS and then you can add as many outfits as you want. like have 2 everyday and 2 pjs and 2 formals. then you just click on your sim again and select change outfit and there they are. why pay for them when its free and thats probably why there is no place to buy clothes.

    Don't believe the people who say this isn't a full version. No doubt they work for EA or they are just idiot trolls.

    I have not had a single crash since I installed and that is amazing for a release version. Almost every single game on the PC now comes with crashes until the first patch.

    As people have posted, don't install the EA download manager and use the crack provided in the release. Make sure you properly block Sims3Launcher.exe and TS3.exe from the internet before running the game.

    I am pleasantly surprised by this game. At first it doesn't look much different than Sims 2 but then once you start playing you notice some subtle changes that are nice. For instance you can REALLY customize your Sim now when you create.

    It runs pretty smoothly on my 3 year old machine AMD 3800 x 2, 8800 GTS 320mb, 2GB ram.

    If you're choosing between downloading this with bittorrent or rapidshare, I think you should use both. I usually just download the rapidshare/megaupload/etc files and extract them (Usually there's just more rars in them or an iso image). Then I just use utorrent to verify the files are good doing a force re-check

    GOT IT WORKING!!! I installed and cracked it, but whenever I would try to load the game it would immediately crash back to the desktop, no error message. I had updated all my drivers, and I meet comp specs (vista x64, intel duo 2 x 2.0ghz, Ati radeon x1550, 2g ram, directx10 etc). I was going crazy. Fixed by installing a net framework and c++ update, found through windows update. They were optional and I had to start them manually. When my computer restarted, the game worked!! Hope this works for you if you have the same problem.

    If you are asked for a key after installation (on launch) – Uninstall EA Download manager (EDAM) and the game, then reinstall the game NOT the EADM. Make sure you are offline the whole time. It's common, read through the comments for more info. BTW- Don't register online or let the game connect. You are using a pirate copy, so this would not be smart.

    If you are getting errors on installation do a hash check on your downloaded files through utorrent (or similar) to check for corruption. It might say 100% but you could be missing pieces. This happened to me with a corrupted download.

    PEOPLE- the comments are useful!! Read through before posting because your problems are common and resolvable!

    Can anyone tell me if all the 26 part links in all the different comments and download sites are interchangable? I'm afraid the one I'm using will be dead soon.

    LOL the game IS a beta, no matter what you think, it lacks some features (video editing) and, for example, you can have all the clothes of the game directly from your drawer without paying (maybe this is used by the betatesters to test new clothes or accessories). BTW this is one of the latest betas before the game becomed gold.

    Also by the way one cheat is "testingcheatsenabled true" works. Though it is a lot more limited then the sims 2 only the mailbox and sims are able to be clicked.

    I just checked out the sims 2 launcher today I noticed some of it was active. Apparently the video editing tools comes in a separate app. The game basically has a basic video recorder for recording videos basically you just start and stop it and they get collected into a folder. A seperate downloadable app will be doing the video editing. They have links to download these apps but I suspect they would never work for pirates. (because of registration etc) So if you belong to the group that can't wait to get all the goodies right away you're best off waiting to buy the game. If you can wait even just a day or a week after they're released… I'm sure you'll be finding these extras soon enough.

    Anybody do anything crazy to their sims yet? My last playthrough I found out that you can Try For Baby with anybody… that opens up so many possibilities like… populating every house in town with your bastard kids. The best part is you won't have to deal with diapers etc. You only deal with your kids when you feel like it. When the kid is old enough I suppose you could befriend it and move them into your house to become your heir.

    I haven't seen any gamebreaking bugs. But if you want to nitpick yes there might be some annoying animations that some people would consider bugs especially with the car. The sim always goes toward the road not their car/bike. The car/bike will just pop from the parking space to the road. Parking pretty pointless since the sims don't really seem to use it. Cars just pop in and out when you need it. You can even put the car/bike in the inventory. Overall, there aren't any bugs that would keep me from enjoying the game.

    been playing it for over 20 hours now but no bug at all. and i have no idea why people said there is not many item. there is heaps of items compare to original sims 2. i mean it is bit cheese like the the shopping and the work and driving but surely they will fix it when add-on's come out. i mean in about few month there is going be a expansion pack this game

    Hey people. No this isn't the full version, I sure hope so anyway. Didn't you notice that there are bugs?! For example, when there are multiple sims on a lot, a sim freezes for a second before going thru a door. When a cab comes to pick up a sim, he doesn't walk and go into the cab, he goes to the end of his lot and then magically apears in the cab, same with the bike. The fast forwarding time is appearing to be very slow, i click on 3xSpeed but it goes just a bit faster than normal. The terrain on every empty lot is comletely blury (you have to 'paint' on the terrain just to make it look normal, I hope this is fixed on the full version, because the terrain looked better on the sims2). When my sim went to the gym, it took him 1hour (!!!!) to come downstairs and get bread to eat. Also, when a sim is putting a baby in a crib, it takes them over an hour to do it, they just stand there while the baby is crying.

    I hope this is a beta because you can't even park your car into your own garage. The sim just stops in front of the house and the card disappears instead of entering into the garage.

    yeah, when putting babies on cribs, the sim stands there for almost an hour before doing it.

    also, I made my sim invited a sim over (which has full time job). The sim WAS working but it came on my sims house anyway with the baby. and it stayed for more than 24 hours in my sim's house. Then, when it was going home, my sim was sleeping. My sim woke and took the baby from the crib and my sims took the baby outside the house.
    the the mother sim just went outside the house and stook there for almost 4 hours before saying it needed to go home.

    there are other annoying bugs, but the game "feels" finished (except for the bugs).

    the games real, don't see whats wrong with it.. i myself am getting crashes once and awhile both when i save and when i play the game for excessive amounts of time, im not sure whats causing it, ive added the video card patch and im currently in the process of updating all my vista updates, maybe its sometimes vista bugs, anyway ill see what happens and get back you guys.

    any else found a fix for the game crashes.

    @ Jack (#489): It isn't a bug, you just don't know how to play the game. You always have to manually tell a visiting Sim to leave otherwise they will stay for a very long time.

    Whoever is saying that there are diving boards etc… in this games because it's the "retail game" READ THIS!

    Buy mode

    I'm on a mac and for some reason when I extract the files using Stuffit i keep getting the error #17450. im pretty sure there is nothing wrong with my downloaded files because, this is the second time I've downloaded them. Maybe I just don't know how to correctly extract them!? I tried extracting them all together and one by one but it still does work. Please help me out guys!

    I have also used UnRarX to extract but i kept getting errors.
