Razor1911 brings us the REAL Sims 3 game. RELOADED released a beta, and got nuked for that. Here’s Razor with the real deal.

    Instructions:

    The only way to install any sims3pack (right now at least) is to download them and install using the launcher. When doing this be sure you disable your internet connection or block the programs access using a firewall. Otherwise your actions will be sent to EA.

    If you have trouble installing, delete them all from the Launcher and download this tool:

    Once you have that, drop the .package files over that EXE icon and THEN install the content (it won't look like it's done anything but it will have). Remember, you must drop the package files over that BEFORE double clicking the icons to install.

    Does anybody know how to install Riverview? I have riverview.Sims3Pack, but it says that I should have the latest uptate :( (I'm using razor1911 version)

    I've got some more packs on the way… I'm just checking them in-game before uploading.

    As for Riverview, nobody's worked out how to install it yet. We've even been copying entire folders from people who legally got the neighbourhood but EA seems to have done something to prevent it being copied properly.

    I've downloaded some other packs, some of refused to install, but http://forum.jfade.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=468 fixed all of them, exept riverview :(

    I can see why the Tiki and maybe Riverview don't install..

    It might be because of a version bump that happened along the way. Doesnt work with 1.0.631.00002

    @Anon, I've tried installing it (and Riverview) with previous versions of the Sims, and it fails each time.

    The thing is, the neighbourhood *does* show up, but it's missing a lot of files the hood can't locate. The actual sims have no descriptions, some buildings are missing, and it's generally just glitchy.

    Also, I've had people say that once you install it, it's hard to uninstall (even via the Launcher). So, just to be safe, I'm waiting until someone's figured out how to make it work and has it fully tested.

    @wizz32, It almost works, I can create sim, settle him there, but all names and desctiptions contains path to the texts but not the texts itselt.
    P.S. I'm using russian localization.

    Maybe try looking at the registry…it might add something new to the sims3 registry keys….maybe that is the missing key…..just a lil idea….

    @485, I have three computers, and I have both retail and downloaded (obviously got it a couple of weeks ago). I've tried all the combinations I can think of but it's not working.

    @487, that's more someone else's department. I'm no genius when it comes to solving these problems… I just know when it's not working. There's a few people I know who are trying to figure out the problem so once I know, I'll post here with details.

    Jay, check the sims 3 forum…people with the brought retail game are saying the same thing….theres even a petition to get the game speeds changed!!!

    @Jay, the retail is exactly the same. I'm assuming EA will fix it with a patch at some point.

    Yeah the speed thing needs sorting, but i also hope they give the babies and toddler's back all the interactions they had in sims2…if not some more! Can't believe they took that stuff out :( Maybe in a patch…but more likely in an EP regarding the baby/toddler stuff.

    The tool for "fixing" the package files has been updated and now Riverview, plus the Tikki package I posted earlier, will definitely work. You need to re-download the tool and do as I said before (drag the package file over the EXE and then double click the package file to install the content. Make sure you delete that Tikki package from your download folder as you'll need to re-un-zip it, if there is such a word!). You can download the updated tool here:

    Hey Blue! Thanks! I have the Reladed-to-Razor patch, but as it was discussed here before: we don't know if this patch works for sure, because it doesn't change the Windows Registry properly.

    I have a second question: the ORIGINAL RETAIL version was OFFICIALLY released yesterday. Whata are the differences between the OFFICIAL and the Razor/Reloaded version?

    I had the reloaded version installed, but then I uninstalled it and installed the razor version. now my game will not start up with the razor crack/ The reloaded ts3.exe still works on the razor version, but riverview will not install. anyone have an idea to fix???

    Can someone please upload the riverview and the other sets on other hosting site like mediafire, megaupload etc. I can't download from rapidshare, it either keeps telling me i can't parallel download or my download limit for free users is reached.

    I have the Reloaded to Razor Version and most of the cracked add-ons worked for me, including the new town. Just follow instructions to crack the official add-ons or get it cracked already.

    @Red, I have no idea what the difference is between the retail and the Razor version. They appear to be exactly the same, especially as people who downloaded the Razor version (or updated to the Razor version) can download any further patches released by EA.

    @All, sorry, I only upload to Rapidshare, as I don't have the time to upload to other places. The files are only small, with the biggest one being Riverview at 92MBs. If you're lucky, someone might upload them somewhere else.

    I can confirm running the release on Mac OS X 10.5.7 updated through the launcher to version 1.1.45.2. I modified the .simpacks as described above using the windows tool and then installed them on the mac, everything works like charm.

    you just have to unzip everything in the folder Downloads in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, then open the TS3 launcher, select "Downloads" on the right, then "select all" and "install".

    I cannot be bothered to read through 500+ comments, can someone please confirm this is clean and working, i downloaded the reloaded one and tried to install it today but it wouldn't work because my virus scanner was trying to stop the 11 worms and 9 trojans it was putting on my computer.

    Someone help me please..
    I downloaded all the files and I opened the game and everything went fine. Everytime when i'm about to play it says ''We are unable to verify that your disc is a valid copy of The Sims 3. Please contact customer service.''

    What should I do? I opened it with the DEAMON tools?

    try to start the game using TS3.exe directly from the folder:

    Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin

    use the launcher only for install the custom content
