So the waiting is finally over, group THS seems to be first who released the cam version of The Simpsons Movie. It’s nothing worth attention though, this copy is absolutely crappy and can’t give you a good laugh at all. There’ve been numerous versions of Simpsons Movie in other languages in better quality, but hearing dubbed Homer is worse than commiting sins for many fans of this legendary tv show (check NTi forums for listing of all versions). Some critics say this movie isn’t that cool at all - if you put 3 of your favourite episodes and watch them one after each other, you will probably have the same feeling as after watching the whole movie. Anyway, I would highly recommend to wait for better version.
In the eagerly-awaited film based on the hit television series, Homer must save the world from a catastrophe he himself created. It all begins with Homer, his new pet pig, and a leaky silo full of droppings - a combination that triggers a disaster the likes of which Springfield has never experienced. As Marge is outraged by Homer’s monumental blunder, a vengeful mob descends on the Simpson household. The family makes a narrow escape, but is soon divided by both location and conflict.
The Springfield citizenry has every reason to be out for Simpson blood. The calamity triggered by Homer has drawn the attention of U.S. President Arnold Schwarzenegger (voiced by Harry Shearer) and Environmental Protection Agency head Russ Cargill (voiced by Albert Brooks). “You know sir,” Cargill tells the president, “when you made me head of the EPA, you were applauded for appointing one of the most successful men in America to the least successful agency in government. And why did I take the job? Because I’m a rich man who wanted to give something back. Not the money, but something.” That “something” is a devil’s plan to contain the disaster.

I have the DVDSCR. Have not watched it, but have skimed through the AVI, looks to be a compilation of DVD EPs. Well combined thou. Runtime is spot on too.

eh, dvd screeners are released to critics to review the film when it’s released to the VIDEO MARKET. but mostly, screeners are given before award events etc to let jury members et al watch them, if the movie isn’t out on dvd yet.
There’s an English version being upped right now on usenet, called “The.Simpsons.Movie.TC.Xvid-NoFear” Sample is the real deal, so the complete thing is probably real, too. It’s no TC, probably video from German TS + audio from the drive-in source.
It’s watchable, though the audio isn’t the best. Probably best English copy out yet.
i can’t remember a single time a dvdscr was released before or at the time of official cinema release (not counting mismatching release dates worldwide etc, say movie was released much earlier outside the us). feel free to correct me with any dvdscr titles where that apply, if you want to prove me wrong

Believe it was recorded from a Drive-In movie. Again thank you, GREAT AUDIO SOURCE!
Process:
I used wavepad and manually went through the entire audio source to sync with video sources. Took a long time….
Once the entire movie was in sync, I used Virtual Dub with Xvid as the compression.

The sample is nothing like the film being showed, the film is so bad can not even see the pic, yet the sample looks good.
Is it just me, or was this movie very highly average.
I watched this at the cinema and don’t get me wrong, some of it was alright, funny parts, but to be honest I wasn’t that impressed.
I’m a huge Simpsons fan and have been for many years, but for me, after all this waiting, this was quite a let down.
