A culture show special, The Simpsons, at 20 years old and 400 episodes long it is the longest running animated series in TV history. This show is not just a compilation of clips from the movie, or clips from its DVD commentary but rather real and interesting interviews with the people behind the series. Although an American made and produced, this show is from a total British point of view. Professor Stephen Hawking shows up in this documentary-type show as well. This torrent has had over 700 downloads without the rlslog article but since I have been busy covering the PREAIRS, so here is something I wanted to post.
20 years ago a family called The Simpsons first appeared on American television, this Culture Show special provides an insight into why the show may just be the best programme ever.

you would think after 20 years they would improve the animation beyond kindergarten grade.
The animation is a style that M.G. pioneered himself continuing his stories from the original comics. Comics originated from Egyptian hieroglyphs. Comics are one of the few visual mediums that can express/alter time in the same instance. Hardly kindergarten.
Also, the show is on Fox, Fox is one of the governments mouth-pieces, its surprising to me that such a liberal show is on Fox. I wonder if its sole purpose (next on Fox!) is to bring in the viewers (non-Republican) so that they will eat the disinformation being spread by the rest of the station.
I really don’t think people watch the Simpsons for the quality of animation. Stop trying to be an anime-elitist.
I love some Anime, but its mostly the same old rehashed shit:
Some girl in short-shorts out to save the world after she takes her math test…
Some giant robot…blah…blah
Some Japanese people that look American? WTF?
One that note, Gohan, Goku, Ghost in the Shell and of course Akira ownz. Oh, and don’t forget Spirited Away, not all Anime has to do with violence or robots, naked lesbian girls, or explosions.
Mmmmmh… violent naked robot lesbian girls in short-shorts blowing up.
Anyway, this show is something that you could just as well miss. They just praise The Simpsons like it was the second coming of Jesus (which it at times has pretty much been, not always though)… and they do it with some horribly boring interviews. The Matt Groening interview gets the least screen time of them all, instead we have comedians that have little to nothing to do with the actual show commenting what they think about it.
