The Settlers VI Rise Of An Empire-RELOADED

There’ve been quite a few games released in last day or two which weren’t posted yet so I’ll cover some of them now. They were mostly unknown titles, but the sixth installment of The Settlers deserves a bit of attention, although it’s nowhere as good as good ol’ Settlers 3. There’s been reports about bug in the second level which doesn’t allow you to progress any further in the campaign, so we can probably expect an update or crackfix soon.

In The Settlers — Rise of an Empire, players build lively, bustling towns in a medieval world. Everything in this richly detailed, realistic world is visible and lovingly animated. Each Settler figure has his or her own daily routine, with a range of different actions and behaviors that can be observed at all times. The ultimate objective of the game is to expand your empire and become a legendary ruler.

Spur your settlers on to ever greater efforts, develop a flourishing economy, satisfy the needs of your citizens, and protect your people from danger!

Game features:

    it suckes i got stuck in like 3 missions in this game….
    If you can’t make the delivery you have to start all over again even if you did a objective early in that mission…..
    And that really sucks!

    This is a very confusing release. The NFO says the release date is May 2008. The IGN and Gamespot reviews are referencing a Settlers 6 that came out in September 2007.

    MetaCritic has an entry for: Settlers: Rise of an Empire – The Eastern Realm, The which was to come out April 2008 as an Expansion pack for Settlers 6, but there are no reviews of it.

    So is this the expansion pack that came out 2 months ago, or the game that came out 9 months ago?

    This looks like it is the original game that came out in September. There was only ever a Polish release so this is surprisingly not a dupe. I guess they were busy with better games when this came out and figured they’d toss this bone out there in the lull.

    @16: CloneCDs don’t really count since there isn’t any crack. I like CloneCDs, but I can see the validity of the argument that since there is no reverse engineering involved it isn’t much of a feat in releasing it, and as such aren’t counted.

    It was actually not a Clone CD release though, but IIRC, the group CLONECD actually made that release with a crack included. It got confusing since the group normaly didn’t release games with cracks, but that time they actually did.

    I played this game through with the crack those nine months ago. Not as good as the first couple of games, but a lot better than installments three through five. This is actually the first settlers game since the second I actually feel deserves to be part of the series.

    Is it a joke or something?This game has already been patched to v1.5 and reloaded has released it NOW?And the copy protection can be easilly fooled with the mini image from xkvtor and many versions of daemon tools!!!Why bother with a crack?!I downloaded the copy from CCD long ago and added the expantion pack released by procyon and everything is alright!Fix mass effect instead of this!

    Zen:

    I am also looking to for a patch to fix the error that prevents moving t the second mission.

    When I use the included updater,it says there is no game data. Is there a fix?

    This game is now updated to version 1.6 with the autoupdater but the crack included is only for version 1.5 and there was another one for an unpatched game.
