Revival of the the RLSlog channels #rlslog & #w00t

We recently updated our IRC channel with a new working announcebot and a pre channel! Below you will find all the necessary information to join these channels. You can chat with other members at #rlslog, and keep an eye on the pre channel at #w00t. Chatting is not allowed in the pre channel, that’s why have the main rlslog channel. Enjoy!
Now if you know what IRC is and you just want all the important info and such then you just need part one, if you are unfamiliar with IRC then you can go straight to part two.
Server: irc.austirc.net
Ports: 6667 (6697 for SSL)
Channel: #rlslog
Hotlink #rlslog: irc://irc.austirc.net:6667/rlslog
Hotlink #w00t: irc://irc.austirc.net:6667/w00t
The rlslog IRC chat room is well just that a chat room where you can come and talk about whatever you wish. It’s a friendly place where you can talk with other rlslog members in real time, its a great to use if you need to find help on almost any subject, as well as to meet new peers. It is entirely free, secure and fun to boot!
Its more than just talk though, the rlslog chat room has “bots” which can perform a variety of tasks on command. The best thing our bots can do though is announce when a new article has been published on rlslog. This can means that you will always be up to date on The Scenes hottest releases!
Of course, we need time to create our articles. But our pre channel will let you keep an eye on all the new releases from the scene. Later on you will probably see the announcebot announcing all the new articles on the site. We do NOT allow chatting on the pre channel, but you can talk it over at #rlslog.
To join all you need to do is grab yourself an IRC client (we suggest mIRC or XChat) then connect to the AustIRC network. Here are the servers and there location:
irc.austirc.net – for any server

ssl.austirc.net – for a SSL enabled serverGenerally you want to pick the one closest to you. But you can pick any, they will all work no matter where you are. After you are connected to LinkNet all you need to is join our channel which is #rlslog. you can type ‘/join #rlslog’ or use the GUI methods offered by mIRC or XChat. Then your in, you can chat with others or even just idle. Most of the rlslog staff are there and are more then willing to talk or answer questions. The rest of the people in the channel at the moment are a friendly bunch as well. Hope to talk to you soon.
For users that will keep returning to our channels, we suggest you register your nickname. All the necessary commands and information can be found on the aust irc website, or just ask for help on #rlslog !
