Hi, I’m the new movie editor on the rlslog team. A quick bit of info about me. I’m 19 years of age, based in the UK and play a lot on Steam (TF2 anyone?) I’m currently Working/Training in the TV and film industry so i know what I’m talking about when it comes to films! I’m hoping to not only bring you the latest scene releases but also to give you a good input on the actual film itself. Anyway lets get to it!
REiGATE bring us a Limited release of “The Riddle” A British thriller that’s proving to be very popular with the critics. Although i can really only recommend this movie if your a fan of the older generation of thrillers such as Get Carter. Or if your just a huge fan of Vinnie Jones (and who isn’t?) Quality is great as you would expect from a DVDRip.
Plot: A journalist investigates a series of murders that follows the discovery of an unpublished novel by Charles Dickens in the cellar of an old Thames-side-pub. Gradually he becomes obsessed with unraveling a century-old murder in the pages of the manuscript. Only when he has done so, with the help of a mysterious beach-combing tramp who stalks the Thames foreshore, is he able to solve the modern murders.

“Get Carter” is an OLDER GENERATION thriller??? Kid, I think you missed the boat by a few years, unless, of course you are referring to the first movie (1971), in which case, you weren’t even a thought in your mother’s mind. And if you ARE referring to the Sly Stallone version, you have lost all credibility with me already. In either case, you could have picked a better example for an iconic thriller, especially being a so-called student of film. What the fuck are they teaching in film studies nowadays???

I don’t know about this movie; especially one that’s free in the newspaper. I do know Get Carter with Michael Caine is one of the best British Crime Thriller ever made and I saw it at the movies in Italy when I was 6 years old!!

Okay, the plot is copied of the little carboard packet the dvd came in FREE with a newspaper, the review is very lame, did you actually watch it?
The movie is very very lame, it does start with an interestling 5 minutes but fades away thick and fast to a very very lame ending but is in keeping with the rest of the movie. You state that this is going down well with the press and critics, yes it will when they are payed to say its good even if it isn’t any good, pretty much in the same vain as when you see “best thriller of the year, best action movie of the year” slapped over every dvd that is released. It also says that its filled with top stars ect which it isn’t, other than Derek Jacobi that actually does do a pretty good job, Vanessa Redgrave has 2 scenes here that last for 3 minutes tops and is less than convincing, Vinnie Jones has had a few bit parts, starred in 3 movies to date none of which where serious movies and neither are his acting capabilities, he is just a lovably football rogue from the 80’s: Also watch out for (as mentioned earlier) Bog People, also to be released FREE in the same newspaper also starring Vinny Jones *yawn* and looks even worse than this movie is. Being an insomnia however i was glad for the 20 winks this movie threw me into so something good came out of it. If you are looking for people to review movies here i would be interested, considering myself to have a very fair over look towards movies. You can see can’t you Kr4zy why people are so harsh when you make a statement you know about movies!! and dont even review the thing. save the bandwidth folks you will be dissapointed :O)

The editors they have working for this site are a joke. I can’t believe a site like rlslog would employ such incompetent people to write their movie editorials. Before everyone starts saying i should work on my grammer before i comment on others, just remember i’m not writing semi-professionally for a website. It’s not cool to complain when you’re getting benefited by this site. But when rlslog takes itself too seriously and believes it can offer quality movie reviews (btw i dont like Vinnie either) and can’t control Mr X’s random teenage exuberance that’s when the whole thing starts looking trashy. what the fuck ? this movie has gotten IMDB rating of 9.5/10. This is manipulation, it’s not a real rating.
On the release itself: the audio track sound hollow to me with too much background noise. i had a hard time understanding the actors.
Btw: I’m 31 and been watching an awfull lot of movies all my life and I’m still no expert and probably will never be. You should only tell people you’re an expert if you can truly back it up.

Get Carter is an older generation thriller (and I am old enough to appreciate it), it is a great example of an iconic British thriller (and influenced many a later film too) and Vinnie Jones. Well, who doesn’t love Vinnie except tarts and ponces?

High there all i can say about this film CRAP
Any fan of Vinnie Jones must be a fan of terrible acting, guttural speech, and blank stares (Mean Machine would have been a halfway decent movie without Vinnie’s blank fucking look on his face throughout the whole film). The only place I want to see Vinnie was/is on the football pitch, minus any dialogue. Goddamn, peoples’ standards have fucking fallen.

In defence of the Q that states he has deleted more movies than the reviewer has ever seen.. i have to say this is true, he knows a vast amount, and has seen over 15,000 movies, over 500 this year alone… he dosent need to work, spends a lot of time watching movies as he is incapacitated, he reviews on dozens of sites, and used to put a hell of a lot of movies out.. he only stopped due to being nuked all the time and a select few dl’ed the releases and found they where being re-released by other users as there own efforts. Alien (1979) is one of my Favourite movies of all time, does that stop me from being able to review it just because i was born 3 years before its release?? I don’t think people are giving the guy a hard time, you will always get idiots that just have nothing better to do and the user names they use show that clearly.
If you are going to review a movie as a reviwer/critic review it, dont type up what is on the back of the cardboard sleeve about the movie.
I would love to be able to review movies for this site and find it one of the best sites on the web in a very competative market.
Age means nothing to me it’s the review that reflects the persons capabilities to inform me of what a movie is about and wether or not i should download it.
Keep up the good work to all the reviwers, it is clearly obvious a lot of time is spent on finding those lesser known titles that do slip to the back of shelves in movie stores, and this site seams to pride itself on bringing some of those hidden gems to the fore front.

It’s a rough crowd here, but it keeps you on your toes. There have been some horrendous film reviews/postings by so-called staff members in the past, so you can’t really blame all the naysayers who are skeptical. Just don’t get too stupid and things will be alright.
